When tightening screws and bolts, tighten within the rated torque specifications using a torque screwdriver or torque wrench. The tightening torque values for screws and bolts are given below.

M4 screws: 1.4 ± 0.5 ~N · m

M5 screws: 1.4 ± 0.5 ~N · m

M6 screws: 2.5 ± 0.5 ~N · m

1 Attach the inner pipe and outer pipe to the PSS-650 Projector Suspension Support adjustment bracket (A) and ceiling mounting bracket (B), and adjust the height (see page 11).
2 Join each pipe using the six K6× 12 screws (a).
3 Attach the six P4× 6 pipe retaining screws (b) and the six P5× 12 rattle prevention screws (c).

Adjusting the Height

Adjustment range: 1,000mm to 1,675mm (39^3 / 8 in. to 65^-15 / 16 in.) (25mm(~^31 / 32in.) adjustment pitch
* When using a bracket for tension wires: 1,050 mm to 1,675 mm (41 ^11 /32 in. to 65 ^15 /16 in.)

Using Cut Pipes

You can adjust the height by cutting the outer pipe and inner pipe.

Cut the pipes at 345mm (13^19 / _32 in.) from the end of the pipes. Cut the pipe, leaving two holes in the center groove.

Note

When cutting the outer pipe, measure and cut 345mm (13^19 / _32in.) from the end with the three M4 tap and one M5 tap holes, as shown in the diagram. The pipe cannot be used if the other end of the pipe is cut.

Adjustment range: 650~mm to 975~mm (25^19 / 32 in. to 38^3 / 8 in.) (25~mm(3^1 / _32 in.) adjustment pitch
* When using a bracket for tension wires: 700 mm to 975 mm (27 ^9 /16 in. to 38 ^3 /8 in.)

Increasing the Adjustment Range

The height adjustment range can be increased using two PSS-650P units.

Adjustment range: 1,700mm to 2,975mm (66^15 / 16 in. to 117^1 / 8 in.) (25 mm (^31 / 32 in.) adjustment pitch)
* When using a bracket for tension wires: 1,750 mm to 2,975 mm (68 ^29 / 32 in. to 117 ^1 / _8 in.)

Note

Two PSS-650P units only can be joined together.

Attaching Other Accessories

Attaching the Fall Prevention Wire

Install an anchor point and attach the supplied fall prevention wire to make sure the projector cannot fall. For details about attaching the fall prevention wire, refer to the PSS-650 Projector Suspension Support manual.

Notes

• The length of the supplied fall prevention wire supports the maximum height when using the extension pipe. After adjusting the height, adjust the length of the wire to suit the adjusted height.
• If the supplied wire is insufficient, use a wire made of rust-proof material (for example, stainless steel).
• Use a gage of wire that has sufficient tensile strength to support the weight of the projector and brackets.

Attaching the Wiring Covers

When finished running cables, insert the wiring covers into the outer pipe/inner pipe.

For details about running cables and attaching the wiring covers, refer to the PSS-650 Projector Suspension Support manual.

Attaching Tension Wires

If the length of the pipe is long, the projector is more susceptible to swinging. It is recommended that the PSS-650 Projector Suspension Support be secured using swing-prevention tension wires.

Attach the bracket for tension wires to the PSS-650.

Wires and anchor points are to be prepared by the customer.
