2. Safety of use

CAUTION! Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or severe personal injury or death.

The term "unit" or "product" in the warnings and in the description of the instructions refers to the ELECTRICALLY HEIGHT-ADJUSTABLE DESK WITH A TABLE TOP.

2.1. Electrical safety

a) The plug of this unit must fit into the outlet. Do not modify the plug in any way. Original plugs and matching outlets reduce the risk of electric shock.
b) Do not touch the unit with wet or damp hands.
c) Do not use the cord in an unintended manner. Never use it to carry the unit or to pull the plug out of the socket. Keep the cord away from heat sources, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or tangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
d) If you cannot avoid using the unit in a wet environment, use a residual current unit (RCD). Using an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.
e) Do not use the unit if the power cord is damaged or shows signs of wear. A damaged power cord should be replaced by a qualified electrician or the manufacturer's service department.

2.2. Safety in the workplace

b) If you have any doubts as to whether the product is working properly or if it is damaged, contact the manufacturer's service department.
c) Only the manufacturer's service department may repair the product. Do not carry out repairs yourself!
d) Check the condition of the safety stickers regularly. Replace them if they are illegible.
e) Keep these instructions for use for future reference. If the unit is to be passed on to a third party, the operating instructions must also be handed over together with the unit.
f) Keep the packaging and small assembly parts out of the reach of children.
g) When using this machine together with other machines, also follow the other instructions for use.

2.3. Personal safety

a) Do not operate this product if you are tired, ill or under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medication that could impair your ability to operate the product.
b) The unit is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with reduced mental, sensory or intellectual functions or persons who lack experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised or have been instructed by a person responsible for their safety on how to operate the unit.
c) The unit may be operated by persons who are physically fit, capable of operating it and appropriately trained, and who have read this instruction manual and have been trained in occupational safety and health.
d) Use caution and common sense when operating this unit. A moment's inattention during operation may result in serious personal injury.
e) To prevent accidental start-up, make sure the switch is in the off position before connecting to a power source.
f) Before switching the unit on, remove any regulating tools or keys. Any tools or keys left in the rotating part of the unit may cause injury.
g) The unit is not a toy. Children should be watched to ensure that they do not play with the unit.

2.4. Safe use of the unit

a) Do not overload the unit. Use tools that are suitable for the application. A correctly selected unit will do a better and safer job for which it was designed.
b) Do not use the unit if the ON/OFF switch does not function properly (does not turn on and off). Units that cannot be controlled by the switch are unsafe, cannot operate, and must be repaired.
c) Unplug the unit before making adjustments, changing accessories, or putting it away. This precaution reduces the risk of accidental start-up.

u) Do not move or lie under the desk structure during adjustment. Do not sit or stand on the desk frame. Use extreme caution when making adjustments.
v) Check regularly whether the adjustment mechanism of the desk is working properly and remove any obstacles which may block the smooth adjustment of the desk.
w) Make sure that cables, connections and plugs do not interfere with the use of the product.
x) When adjusting the height of the desk, make sure that the lead wires are of sufficient length. The cables and connections that are too short may hinder height adjustment or damage other equipment.

3. Rules of use

The unit is designed to be used as a piece of furniture with a height-adjustable horizontal surface.

The user is responsible for any damage resulting from misuse.

3.2. Preparation for operation

POSITIONING OF THE UNIT

The ambient temperature must not exceed 40^ and ambient humidity should not exceed 85% . Place the unit in a way that ensures good air circulation. Keep the unit away from any hot surfaces. Always operate the unit on a level, stable, clean, fireproof and dry surface and out of the reach of children and persons of impaired mental, sensory and intellectual functions. Place the unit in such a way that the mains plug can be reached at any time. Ensure that the power supply to the unit corresponds to that specified on the identification plate!

ASSEMBLY OF THE UNIT

Useful tools during installation (not included):

STEP 1: Attaching the motor to the lifting column

  • Insert the right end of the connecting rod (A) into the hexagonal motor mounting hole (B).
  • Insert the left end of the connecting rod into the hexagonal mounting hole of the lifting column (C).

Caution: If the lifting column mounting hole does not match the dimension of the connecting rod, carefully adjust the mounting hole with an 8 mm Allen key (S-J) so that the pieces fit together.

- Attach the motor to the lifting column with 2 screws (S-B) from the side and 2 screws (S-B) from the bottom of the column using a Phillips screwdriver.

STEP 2: Attaching the crossbars

Attach the crossbar (I) to the front of the lifting column with 4 screws (S-A), then attach the crossbar (F) to the top of the column with 4 screws (S-D).

STEP 3: Installing the drive shaft

  • Loosen the knob on the right end of the drive shaft (E) and attach to the motor spindle as shown in Figure 3.1. Then tighten the knob.
  • Loosen the knob on the left end of the drive shaft and pull out the inner shaft to fit the length of the desk.
  • Insert the left end of the drive shaft into the hexagonal mounting hole in the lifting column as shown in Figure 3.2. Then tighten the knob.

Caution: If the mounting hole of the lifting column does not match the dimension of the drive shaft, carefully adjust the mounting hole with an 8 mm Allen key (S-J)

to make the components fit together.

STEP 4: Attaching the top

  • Glue 9 silicone washers (S-F) in place as close as possible to the holes in the frame.
  • Hook the power supply bracket (G) to the crossbar.

CAUTION! At least two people are required to turn the desk, otherwise there is a risk of serious injury or damage to the unit.

  • Carefully place the worktop (D) on the floor with the underside facing up.
  • With the help of another person, turn the assembled desk frame upside down.
  • Align the mounting holes in the worktop with the holes in the desk frame.
  • Join the desk frame with 6 screws (S-C) and washers (S-G). Use a Phillips screwdriver for assembly.

STEP 5: Connecting the controller

- Attach the controller (K) to the worktop using 2 screws (S-E). Use a Phillips screwdriver for installation.

STEP 6: Connecting the power supply

  • With the help of another person, turn the desk over placing it on its feet.
  • Slide the power supply unit (H) into the holder.
  • Connect the controller (K) to the power supply (H) and the motor (B).
  • Insert the power cord (J) into the power supply unit.
  • Attach the cable clamp (S-H) to the worktop with the screw (S-E).

STEP 7: Leveling the desk

The desk is equipped with adjustable feet located under the base of the frame. If the floor is uneven, level the desk by turning the legs.

Tip: you can use a bubble level to check that the desk is level.

CAUTION: When using the desk for the first time, the user should reset the system (see section 3.3 for details).

3.3. Working with the device - operating the control panel

Caution: If using the control panel for the first time, the user should reset the system before working with the unit.

Resetting the system:

  • Press and hold the "down" button (the button must be held until the reset process is complete). The display will show "r5t" and the desk will begin to lower the worktop level to its lowest position.
  • The desk will then move up slightly and the display will show the current desk height. The reset process is now complete.
    Caution: When a system reset is required, disconnect and reconnect the power to the desk, and then follow the instructions above.

Height adjustment:

- Press and hold the "up" / "down" button to raise/lower the desk to the desired height.

Timer Adjuster:

  • Press "T" to receive a reminder to change position. Each press of "T" leads to an increase in the time value by 0.5 hours. The maximum time setting is 2 hours.
  • When the timer is successfully set, the light in the upper right corner will be illuminated.
  • After the set time has elapsed, the unit will beep 3 times to remind the user to change position.
  • To clear the reminder, press the "T" button until the indicator light in the upper right corner goes out.

Memory settings:

  • To store the desk height in memory, press the "M" button, "5-" will flash on the display. Press the 1/2/3 key while flashing to select under which key the position will be stored.
  • To recall the previously stored height, press the 1/2/3 key and the desk will start to move the desk top to that position. Press any key to stop the movement.

Switching the height unit (centimeters or inches)

  • Press and hold down the "T" button for about 3 seconds.
  • The unit will beep once when changing units to centimeters (CM), and will beep twice when changing units to inches (IN).

Caution: Disconnect and reconnect the power supply to the desk when a unit change is needed.

Power saving mode:

- If no button is pressed within 1 min, the system will enter power save mode and the display will dim. Pressing any button will reactivate the control panel.

Error codes and troubleshooting

3.4. Cleaning and maintenance

a) Pull the mains plug and let the unit cool down completely before cleaning, adjusting or replacing accessories and when the unit is not in use.
b) Use only non-corrosive cleaning agents for cleaning the surfaces.
c) After each cleaning, all the parts should be dried well before the unit is used again.

d) Store the unit in a dry and cool place protected from moisture and direct sunlight.
e) Do not spray the unit with a stream of water or immerse it in water.
f) Do not get the electrical parts of the unit wet.
g) Perform regular inspections of the unit checking technical fitness and any damages.
h) Use a soft cloth for cleaning.

DISPOSAL OF USED UNITS.

At the end of its useful life, this product should not be disposed of with normal household waste but should be taken to a collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. This is indicated by the symbol on the product, operating instructions or packaging. The materials used in this unit are recyclable according to their marking. You will be making an important contribution to protecting our environment by reusing, recycling or otherwise disposing of used units.
