SOMMAIRE

Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.

  • Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the rating label of the appliance and that the wall outlet is grounded.
  • This product is designed only for household use. It is not

suitable for commercial or industrial use.

  • Check the power cord regularly for visible damage. If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec in order to avoid any type of danger.
  • Do not use the device if it has been dropped or if there are any visible signs of damage.
  • Do not try to repair the device by yourself. Contact the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec for advice.
  • Do not use lubricants or cleaning agents to clean the device.
  • Do not use any accessory that has not been recommended by Cecotec, as they might cause injuries or damage.
  • Do not place the appliance close to heat sources, flammable substances, wet surfaces where it can fall or be pushed into water or allow it to come into contact with water or other liquids. Do not operate it outdoors.
  • Do not use the appliance to vacuum liquids, lighted matches, cigarette ends, hot ash or on wet surfaces.
  • Do not use on concrete, tarmac or other rough surfaces.
  • Remove from inside the device anything thicker than a straw as it may block the vacuuming tube.
  • Stop using the device if you sense an abnormal sound or a temperature higher than usual.
  • Keep the air outlet unblocked to avoid losing suction power.
  • Check the tube from time to time to make sure it is not clogged.
  • Take special care when using the device to clean stairs.
  • Do not block the appliance's openings or air flow. Keep openings free of any objects, and do not block them with clothes or your fingers.
  • Turn off and unplug the appliance from the mains supply when it is not going to be used for a long period of time,

before cleaning or repairing, before attaching components and before removing the battery.

  • Never modify the charger in any way.
  • Do not use any battery that has not been provided with the original product or by Cecotec.
  • You must remove the battery from the device before disposing of it.
  • The battery must be disposed of in a safe manner (for more information check the 'Disposal of electrical appliances' section).
  • Keep batteries out of the reach of children when there is a risk of ingestion.
  • Rechargeable batteries must be removed before charging them.
  • Battery ingestion can cause burns, soft tissue perforation and death. It can cause severe burns within two hours of the ingestion.
  • In case of battery ingestion please seek medical help immediately.
  • Use only the charger provided.
  • WARNING: to recharge the battery, use only the power supply included with the device.
  • Non rechargeable batteries should not be recharged.
  • The battery supply terminals must not be short-circuited.
  • If the device is stored for a long period of time, you should remove the battery.
  • Battery must be inserted in the correct position.
  • The battery terminals must not be short-circuited.
  • Batteries not suitable for this product must be removed from the device and disposed of in a safe manner. For more information, check the 'Disposal of electrical appliances' section in this manual.

  • WARNING: this tube has electrical connections:
  • Do not use it to vacuum water;
  • Do not immerse it in water to clean it;
  • The tube must be checked regularly and should not be used if damaged.
  • WARNING: your device has rotating parts which may cause a risk of entrapment. Exercise extreme caution.
  • Do not carry the battery by the cord or coil the cord around the battery to store it.
  • Pull from the plug, not the cord, to disconnect it from the outlet.
  • Do not immerse the cord, plug, or any non-removable part of the appliance in water or any other liquid, nor expose the electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are completely dry before handling the plug or switching on the appliance.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by unsupervised children.

Battery instructions

  • The device includes a lithium-ion battery.
  • Do not burn or expose the battery to high temperatures, as it may explode.
  • Leaks from the battery or battery cells can occur under extreme conditions. Do not touch any liquid that leaks from the battery. If the liquid gets into contact with skin, wash

it immediately with soap and water. If the liquid gets into the eyes, flush them immediately with clean water for a minimum of 10 minutes and seek medical attention. Wear gloves to handle the battery and dispose of immediately in accordance with local regulations.

- Avoid contact between the battery and small metallic objects such as paper clips, coins, keys, nails or screws.

2. BEFORE USE

  • Take the product out of the box.
  • Check that all components are included. If any of them are missing or not in good condition, please contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service as soon as possible.
  • Fully charge the device before the first use.
  • During the first 3 uses, it is recommended to charge the device for 12 hours between uses. Once the battery has been charged and used, it will start charging normally.
  • The normal charge time is 3 hours approx. When the battery is fully charged, unplug it.
  • Remove the first use tab installed on the filter.

3. PRODUCT ASSEMBLY

Vacuuming tube and brush head assembly

  • To install the brush head into the vacuuming tube, align both of them making sure the tab on the brush head matches the guides on the tube, and introduce one into the other until they are firmly fixed.
  • To disassemble them, press the brush head release button and pull from the vacuuming tube while you hold the brush head.

Note

When assembling these 2 parts, make sure the handle and the brush are facing the same direction.

To complete the installation of the device, once the brush head is assembled on the vacuuming tube, hold the vacuuming tube with the brush head assembled upright and introduce the tube in the main body.

Battery assembly

  • Insert the battery into the slot in the main body following the guides. Once it is introduced, it will click into place. Check that it is secured in position.
  • To disassemble the battery, press the removal button (Fig. 1.1) and remove it.

Note

Remove the battery and store it in a safe, dry place if the device is not going to be used in a long period of time.

4. OPERATION

You can use this vacuum cleaner in two different manners:

  • Handheld vacuum cleaner, attaching the accessories directly to the main body.
  • Upright vacuum cleaner, using the vacuuming tube with the accessories assembled.

Using the vacuum cleaner

  • Press the On/off button to turn the device on and off.
  • Press the speed button repeatedly to select the device operating speed: LOW, MED, HIGH and AUTO. The device is by default switched on in LOW mode.
  • If you select the AUTO mode, the device will automatically adjust suction power according to the concentration of dust and the type of surface.
  • When operating at high speed, if the battery is at 20% or lower, the device will automatically switch to medium speed in order to lengthen the battery life.

Using the brush head

  • Assemble the vacuuming tube to the brush head and then to the main body, as described in the product assembly section.
  • Press the On/off button to turn the device on and off.
  • Press the speed selector to adjust the power level between LOW, MED, HIGH and AUTO modes.
  • The brush head removes dust from carpets, hard and soft floors, and tiles.
  • If too many particles or fibres are vacuumed, or if a child touches the brush during operation by accident, the rotary brush stops spinning automatically in order to prevent tangles and possible damage.

This device includes different accessories that allow cleaning different types of surfaces, objects and dirt. Some of them are suitable for the upright vacuum cleaner, and others are preferably used with the handheld one.

Jaliscazo brush

Assemble this brush to the upright vacuum cleaner. This brush is especially designed for cleaning hard floors, but can be used to efficiently clean soft floors too.

2-in-1 wide accessory for corners and furniture

This accessory is preferably used with the handheld vacuum cleaner and allows cleaning furniture without damaging it and reaching less accessible dirt in corners.

Wall charging base installation

  1. Place the charging base on the wall and mark the 3 to the holes to be drilled in order to fix the base. Take into account the height of the installation, it is important that the brush head rests on the floor to avoid the charging base from holding all the weight of the vacuum cleaner.
  2. Drill 3 holes in the wall (previously marked) and insert the pegs and M4 x 32 mm screws.
  3. Make sure that the charging base is securely fixed on the wall, place the vacuum cleaner on the charging base by putting the vacuum cleaner charging terminals into contact with the terminals of the charging base (plastic tab).
  4. Once the wall charging base is installed, the charging port must be connected to the power adapter, and then the device can be charged by sliding it from top to bottom into the wall charging base. Fig. 8

Charge and display

  • When the battery percentage is 20 % or below, the device will automatically enter low consumption mode. It is recommended to charge the device when it reaches this percentage.
  • The battery must be charged on the charging base while connected to the main body. Connect one of the ends of the power adapter to the power supply and the other to the charging base. Fig. 8
  • During charging, the charge light indicator will turn on red and the display will show the current charge percentage. When the device is fully charged, the battery indicator will turn green and the display will show 100%. Fig. 9
  • You can also charge the battery without using the charging base. It can be charged when the battery is installed or not in the device. Connect the adapter and connect the other end to the battery, paying attention to the direction. Once it is properly connected, the charge light indicator will turn on red and will turn green once the charge is complete. Fig. 10-11

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Turn the appliance off, unplug it from the power supply and allow it to cool down before cleaning it.
  • Use a soft, slightly dampened cloth to clean the device surface.
  • Never immerse the device in water or other liquids, do not allow liquids to enter the device.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads to clean the product.
  • Do not leave the device in a place with direct sunlight.
  • Do not leave the device in a wet place after cleaning it.
  • After the brush has been used for a long time, bristles might start to tangle with hair and other particles. Clean it in order for it to operate correctly again.

Filters and tank cleaning

  • To avoid the appliance from overheating and losing suction power, it is essential to clean the filters regularly. To make the most of the suction power, it is suggested to clean the filter after each use.
  • The service life of the filters will depend on the accumulated usage and the type of particles that are regularly vacuumed. It is recommended that you replace the filters every 6 months.
  • To take the filters out (Fig.12):
  • Press the dust tank opening button, marked with the word "CLEAN", and pull on the metallic handle to remove the filtering system.
  • Once the filtering system is out, turn the metallic handle anticlockwise and remove the high-efficiency filter.
  • You can wash the high-efficiency filter with warm water (Fig. 13). However, it is recommended to vacuum or shake it out, to prevent the filter from getting wet or damp and affecting the performance of the vacuum cleaner.
  • If you decide to wash it, make sure it is completely dry before installing it again on the device.
  • Filters cannot be washed inside a washing machine nor dried with a hair dryer.
  • Do not brush the filter.
  • To empty the dust tank, press the dust tank lower opening button, open it and empty it. Fig. 14

  1. Move the rotary brush release button with the finger toward the arrow and remove the cover on the same side of the brush.
  2. Remove one end of the brush as shown on the image.
  3. It is important to clear and clean all the residues left in the brush rotary axis.
  4. If you decide to wash the brush you must let all parts dry. Assemble it back in order to use the brush again.

How to remove the battery

Press the battery release button and remove the battery as shown on the image. Store the battery in a plastic bag and leave it in a dry place. Fig. 16

Storing the device

- If the vacuum cleaner is not going to be used for a long time, remove the battery from the product and store it in a dry and safe place.

Maintenance indicator

- The full tank icon or the clogged filter icon will be displayed if the device has not been properly and frequently maintained. Fig. 17

- The low battery warning will disappear when the charger is disconnected.
- Low battery error (excluding shut down due to low battery), will stop after 6 seconds. If not, press the on/off button to stop it.
