Please read the safety instructions and the user manual carefully before using the appliance for the first time. Note the warnings on the appliance and in the user manual.
Always keep the user manual close to hand. If you sell the appliance or give it away, please ensure that you also pass on this user manual. It is an essential component of the product.
1.1. Explanation of symbols
If a block of text is marked with one of the warning symbols listed below, the hazard described in that text must be avoided to prevent the potential consequences described there from occurring.

2. Proper use
The appliance is intended exclusively for styling and drying human hair. The appliance is only intended for private use, not for commercial use.
▶ Please note that we shall not be liable in cases of improper use:
Do not modify the appliance without our consent and do not use any auxiliary equipment that we have not approved or supplied.
▶ Only use replacement parts or accessories that we have supplied or approved.
Comply with all the information in this user manual, especially the safety instructions. Any other use is considered improper and can cause personal injury or property damage.
3. General safety instructions

- Keep the appliance and its accessories out of the reach of children.
■ This appliance can be used by children aged NL 8 years and above, by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or people who lack experience and/or knowledge if proper supervision is provided or if these people have been instructed in how to use the appliance safely and have fully understood the possible dangers.
■ Children must not be allowed to play with the appliance.
■ Do not allow children to clean the appliance or perform maintenance tasks on it unless they are aged 8 years or older and properly supervised.
■ Do not allow children younger than 8 years old near the appliance and its power supply unit.
■ Do not use the appliance if you notice that it, or its mains cable, is damaged or if the appliance has been dropped.
If there is damage to the mains connection cable on this appliance, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its customer service department or another suitably qualified person. This is necessary to avoid hazards.
■ When the appliance is switched off, only connect the mains plug to a properly installed earthed mains socket that is easy to reach and close to the place where you have set up the appliance. Always keep the power socket free of obstructions so that the plug can be pulled out easily.
■ Do not insert any metal objects into the air inlet or fan opening, as this can lead to electric shocks. DE FR
■ Do not cover the appliance and always keep _NL the air inlet and fan opening clear and clean.
■ Never touch the appliance or mains cable with wet or damp hands.
■ When disconnecting the product from the mains supply, always pull on the plug rather than on the mains cable.
■ Never leave the appliance unattended during operation.
■ Prevent the hot parts of the appliance from coming into contact with the mains cable.
■ Make sure that the mains cable does not run over sharp edges, is not pinched or hanging down to avoid tripping hazards.
■ Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
■ Disconnect the mains plug after each use in bathrooms, as there is a risk of electric shock from live parts due to moisture.
■ Do not expose the appliance to extreme conditions. Avoid:
– high humidity or wet conditions
- extremely high or low temperatures
- direct sunlight
- naked flames.

7. Using the appliance

WARNING!
Risk of injury from electric shock due to live parts.
■ Do not use the appliance with wet hands, near or in the shower, bathtub or a filled sink. If the appliance comes into contact with water, do not reach into the water, but pull out the mains plug immediately.

WARNING!
Risk of injury due to burns/risk of fire due to hot surfaces.
Parts of the appliance become very hot during operation.
■ Always take hold of the appliance by the handle when it is in use. The attachment nozzles used also become hot. Avoid any skin contact with hot appliance surfaces.
■ Do not use hairspray or other highly flammable products on your hair before use.
■ Do not use the appliance on synthetic hair.
■ Do not place the appliance on flammable surfaces such as cushions, blankets, towels etc. during operation.
- With the appliance switched off, connect the mains plug to an easily accessible, properly installed earthed socket.
▶ Push the suitable nozzle onto the appliance until it no longer moves.
- Styling nozzle: for styling
- Diffuser nozzle: for hair volume and stand
▶ Switch the appliance on using the on/off switch.
▶ Select the desired levels by repeatedly pressing the buttons for the - blower level - heating level
independently of each other. The selected level is indicated by operating lights.
▶ If necessary, press and hold the cold air button to temporarily switch off the heating level.
Place the diffuser nozzle on the head close to the hair roots and move it in a circular motion.
▶ Use the fingers of the diffuser nozzle to lift the hair slightly and blow-dry underneath. Work your way to the ends of your hair.
▶ After styling, switch off the appliance using the on/off switch and disconnect the mains plug from the socket.
8. Safety feature
Your appliance is fitted with overheating protection. The appliance switches off if it overheats.
▶ To avoid overheating, always keep the air inlet opening free of hair and dust and clean, do not cover it.
▶ Allow the appliance to cool down first and then put it back into operation.
9. Storing the appliance
▶ Allow the appliance to cool down on a heat-resistant surface.
▶ Do not hang the appliance by the mains cable.
▶ Do not wrap the cable around the hair dryer.
▶ If you do not plan to use the appliance, disconnect the mains plug from the power socket and store the appliance in a dry location.
▶ Do not store the appliance within the reach of children.
▶ To avoid damage during transport, we recommend that you use the original packaging.
10. Cleaning and maintaining the appliance

WARNING!
Risk of injury from electric shock due to live parts.
■ Switch off the appliance and unplug the mains plug from the socket before cleaning the appliance.
■ Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
- Clean the outer surfaces of the appliance with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
▶ Never use acidic, abrasive or granular, acetic-acid-, soda-, alcohol- or solvent-based cleaning agents. These may damage the appliance surfaces or the printing on it.
▶ If necessary, rinse the nozzle attachments with water and a mild detergent.
Clean the air inlet opening as soon as dust accumulates on the outer filter. Remove the protective grille from the air inlet opening by turning it anti-clockwise. Clean the protective grille and the air inlet opening, e.g. with a brush. After cleaning, replace the protective grille on the appliance and turn it clockwise to tighten.
▶ After cleaning, allow the appliance and accessories to dry completely before reassembling and using them.
10.1. Automatic cleaning mode
The appliance has an automatic cleaning function.
▶ Switch off the On/Off switch and then connect the plug to a socket.
▶ Switch the On/Off switch to ON while holding down the heating level switch. Automatic cleaning mode starts after approx. 5 seconds. Cleaning mode ends after approx. 10 seconds and the appliance switches to the highest setting of normal operating mode.

Your appliance has been packaged to protect it from damage in transit. The packaging is made of materials that can be recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.

Observe the following labels on the packaging materials regarding waste separation with the abbreviations (a) and numbers (b):
1–7: plastics/20–22: paper and cardboard/80–98: composite : paper and car materialsmaterials

The “Triman” symbol tells the consumer that the product can be recycled, is covered by an extended system of manufacturer’s responsibility and must be sorted by material type in France.

APPLIANCE
All old appliance marked with the symbol shown must not be disposed of in normal household waste.
In accordance with Directive 2012/19/EU, the appliance must be properly disposed of at the end of its service life.
This involves separating the materials in the appliance for the purpose of recycling as well as minimising the environmental impact and negative effects on human health.
Take old appliances to an electrical scrap collection point or a recycling centre.
Contact your local waste disposal company or your local authority for more information on this subject.
