USER MANUAL Nasal care 89058 Miniland

Congratulations on the purchase of this ergonomic battery operated nasal aspirator. It will help you make them more comfortable; quickly and gently remove excess mucus.

Before using this device, please do read carefully all instructions in this manual.

Please keep this manual as it contains important information.

The features described in this user's guide are subject to modifications without prior notice.

3. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. This device is not a toy; do not allow children to play with it.
  2. This device is to clean stuffy noses; do not use it in baby's mouth or ears.
  3. Always clean and dry thoroughly before each use and after each use.
  4. This is not a waterproof device, please clean it referring to the section of "Clean Instructions".
  5. Do not insert the silicone tip into the nostril too deep.
  6. Do not use it on the baby for a long time. A few seconds will be enough.
  7. Do not use this device if there is any wound, or symptom of inflammation or bleeding at the nose.
  8. In the case of infection, fever, nasal irritation or hemorrhage, please stop using this device and consult your physician.
  9. This device is restricted for personal use.
  10. The silicone tip is the applied part.

  11. No modification of this device is allowed. You are advised that changes and modifications not carried out on the equipment by the MINILAND technical service will not be covered by the product guarantee.

  12. Duty cycle: 30 seconds ON / 2 minutes OFF
  13. Replace batteries when the suction power becomes weak during use.

BatteryWarnings:

Use alkaline batteries only

  1. Do not mix used and new batteries.
  2. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
  3. Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended should be used.
  4. Batteries should be inserted with correct polarity.
  5. Exhausted batteries should be removed from the device.
  6. Be sure that all contact surfaces are clean before installing batteries.
  7. Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an incorrect type.
  8. Remove batteries when stored for long periods of non-use.

5. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE (Figure 2)

  1. Remove the cover of the battery compartment (8) from the main body (6) as illustrated in the image.
  2. Insert two AA 1.5V alkaline batteries (not included) to the correct poles, following the instructions printed in the compartment itself.
  3. Ensure the silicone rings in the battery compartment (8) are in the correct position and close it as illustrated until you hear a "click".
  4. Select the appropriate silicone tip (1, 2) in accordance with the size of the person's nostrils.
  5. Ensure the silicone tip (1, 2) is in the correct position on the mucus container (3).
  6. Insert the silicone tip (1, 2) in the nostril, taking care not to push it in too far.
  7. Press the button (7) for a few seconds to remove the mucus. Release the button when all the mucus has been removed.

N.B: In the event the accumulated amount of mucus is close to the maximum capacity (around 4 ml), follow the steps provided in section 6 - CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS to clean the device before using it again. Do not continue to use the device until it has been cleaned if the mucus is close to the level of the opening in the canal (illustrated in Figure 3).

6. CLEAN INSTRUCTIONS (Figure 4)

  1. Ensure the battery compartment (8) is correctly closed.
  2. Remove the silicone tip (1, 2).
  3. Remove the mucus container (3) using the thumb and forefinger, as illustrated in the image.
  4. Remove the silicone rings (4) from the nasal aspirator.
  5. Wash all the parts with warm water and soap. You may place the base of the nasal aspirator 5) directly under the tap in order to wash it.
  6. Reassemble all the parts as illustrated in the image.
  7. Check all the parts are correctly in place and align the indicated marks.

If the amount of accumulated mucus has passed the maximum level of the mucus container (the level of the canal opening) while using the nasal aspirator, or if you notice the mucus has flowed into the area of the air outlet in the base (Figure 5):

  1. Ensure the battery compartment (8) is correctly closed.
  2. Remove the silicone tip (1, 2) and the mucus container (3).
  3. Place the base of the nasal aspirator in clean water as illustrated in the image. Press the button (7) for 15 seconds to clean the internal air pump. The water will flow in the direction indicated in the image.
  4. Change the water and repeat step 3 several times if necessary.
  5. Remove the nasal aspirator from the water once you have concluded the cleaning process. Press the button (7) for around 30 seconds until the internal air pump is dry.
  6. Dry the exterior of the nasal aspirator and reassemble all the parts.

  • Remember, when you dispose of the nasal aspirator to remove the batteries and dispose of them responsibly.
