USER MANUAL VT-8217-3 V-TAC

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed. These instructions should be saved for future reference:

• Read and familiarise yourself with all operating instructions before using this Pedestal Fan.
• Before plugging your unit into the mains, visually check that the unit is intact and has not suffered any transit damage.
• Do not use this product with a programmer, timer, separate remote-control system or any other device.
• Check that the voltage indicated on the data plate corresponds with that of the local network before connecting the appliance to the mains power supply.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. And Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance

• Do not immerse the appliance or its cord in water or any other liquids.

• Do not leave the appliance unattended during use.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended whilst connected to the mains supply.

• It is imperative to unplug the power cord after the appliance has been used, before it is cleaned and whilst being repaired.

• Do not operate this appliance with a damaged plug or cord, after a malfunction or after being dropped or damaged in any way.
• Regular, periodic checks should be carried out on the mains cable to ensure no damage is evident. Should there be any signs of damage the appliance should not be used.
• If the power cable is damaged, it should only be replaced by the manufacturer or a suitable qualified after-sales-service in order to avoid a hazard.
• Do not allow the mains cable to hang over sharp edges or come in contact with hot surfaces.
• Do not run the mains cable under carpets, rugs, etc.
• This appliance is intended for household use only and should not be used for industrial purposes.
• Do not use any accessories or attachments with this appliance other than those supplied or recommended by the supplier.

• Do not use this appliance for anything other than its intended use.

• Do not push objects (including fingers) into the fan grill or any openings as this could risk injury, damage to the appliance and/or electric shock.

• Unplug after each use. Grasp the plug, not the cord.
• Please make sure to turn off the power before starting the installation.
  • Installation should only be done by a certified electrician.
• Unplug from electrical supply source before cleaning. After servicing, any safety device (including grilles and blades) must be reinstalled or remounted as previously installed. Use soft damp cloth then wipe with dry cloth. Do not use harmful cleaners. Do not bend the blades.
• If the plug and supply cord are damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or a suitable qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed of with other household wastes.

INTRODUCTION

This product has both fan and humidifier functions, which can be used together or separately. The humidifier is especially useful on very hot days, when the extra mist in the air helps not only to cool you down, but also to increase the humidity in the dry heat.

• Install the 4 castor wheels into the the holes of base
- Attach the fan body on the base with the help of mounting cap1
- Fix the fan motor part into the fan body hole and tighten it with the mounting cap2

PRODUCT ASSEMBLY

• Unscrew the guard mounting nut and blade cap from the motor and then install the rear guard
  • Install the blade and screw it with blade cap
  • Install front mist plate to front guard with 3 screws
  • Fix the front guard to rear guard and fix the turbo on the fan body

FILLING THE WATER TANK

Place the fan on a flat, stable floor, then add water for the humidifying function as follows:

1. Open the water tank cover.

2. Lift the water tank straight Up to disengage

3. Carefully remove the water tank from the unit (watch for spills)

1. Over a sink, turn the water tank water the tank upside-down

2. Unscrew the lid and fill the tank with clean water. Replace the lid and tighten it securely

3. Carefully put back into the unit. Make sure it is seated properly to avoid leaks.

REMOTE CONTROL

Press "OCS" to start oscillation; press again to fix the airflow direction.

Press "MODE" to choose the wind type

Press "TIMER" button to set the working time of the unit.

Turn "ON/OFF" the Power

Press "MIST" to start the mist function. Mist comes out of the front plate if there is water in the tank. The MIST function can be used on its own or along with the fan function to blow the mist into the room.

Press "SPEED" button to open the fan function and choose the wind

CAUTION

* Do not touch / pull out / put back the water tank when the unit is plugged into a power source. Make sure it is physically disconnected from the mains before doing anything with the water tank.
* When the water level is too low, the safety switch will cut out operation of the mist function. Unplug the unit and refill the water tank for further operation.
* Do not let dust or other particles collect on the mist plate - if the mist outlets are blocked, the mist function could malfunction.
* Before cleaning the unit, make sure it is completely disconnected from the power source. Make sure your hands are not wet when unplugging the unit.
* Do not use very hot water in the water tank - use water less than 40 degrees Celsius.
* Use only water in the water tank. Do not add chemicals or oils or any other additive.
* Infants, the disabled and the elderly should not be in the direct airflow from the fan for long periods of time.
- This appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons unless they have been adequately supervised by a responsible person to ensure that they can use the appliance safely.
- Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer. Its service agent or similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

* Make sure power is disconnected before any cleaning or maintenance is performed.
* It is recommended that you clean the water tank every 2-3 weeks of use, and clean the flume every week.
* Pull out the water tank before cleaning it - pull the plastic tube out of the mist cask properly, then take out the mist cask and water tank.
* Use a dry cloth to clean the mist cask. If there are stubborn stains on the mist cask, use a cloth lightly dampened with mild detergent.
* If the mist feature will not be used for a long time, empty the water tank and leave it to dry before recapping it.

TROUBLESHOOTING

• Montirjte četiri pokretna kotača u rupe na temeljnom dijelu.
• Pričvrstite kućište ventilatora na podnožje pomoću montažnog poklopca 1
• Pričvrstite motor ventilatora u otvor u kućištu ventilatora i zategnite ga s montažnim poklopcem 2.

• Odvijte maticu za pričvršćivanje osigurača i poklopac lopatica motora i montirajte stražnji osigurač.
• Montirajte lopaticu i čvrsto je pritegnite s poklopcem za lopatice.
• Montirajte prednju ploču za maglu na prednjem osiguraču pomoću 3 vijka.
• Pričvrstite prednji osigurač na stražnji osigurač, i pričvrstite turbo na kućište ventilatora.

PUNJENJE SPREMNIKA ZA VODU

Postavite ventilator na ravni, stabilni pod i ulijte vodu za funkciju vlaženja na sljedeći način:

1. Otvorite poklopac spremnika za vodu.

2. Podignite spremnik za vodu izravno da biste ga odspojili.

3. Pažljivo izvadite spremnik za vodu iz uređaja (pazite da ne prolijete vodu).
