The benefits of using Fleur, pelvic floor toning balls
Pelvic floor muscles strengthening: The weight of the toning balls resting on the muscles, encourages them to spontaneously contract, assisting you with an inner workout and creating biofeedback that increases your awareness of where your pelvic floor muscles are, and how to contract them. The vibration of the ball-within-a-ball increases this effect. Doing your Kegel exercises with the balls in place helps you to learn how to contract the muscles, and the effort of holding them in place can help build endurance as well as strength. Simply moving around, getting up from a chair, climbing stairs, or coughing - with the balls in place teaches you when you need to contract your pelvic floor muscles.
Improved sensitivity and sensation: Strong pelvic floor muscles can greatly improve your sexual arousal, your sexual response, the level of sensation you feel during intercourse, and your orgasmic potential.

Warnings
If you use Fleur to rebuild the pelvic floor muscles strength after childbirth, it is recommended to wait 6 weeks from postpartum and 8 weeks from episiotomy.
May not be suitable for use with a genital prolapse, since the prolapsed organs may prevent the weight or ball from being positioned correctly.
Not suitable for use in children

Cautions
Fleur is intended for single patient use only. Do not share Fleur with anyone else. Improper treatment or cross-infection may occur.
Fleur is intended for single orifice use only. Do not move between anus and vagina. Cross-infection may occur.
It is important that Fleur is cleaned after each use. Ineffective cleaning may lead to irritation or infection.
Cleaning
It is important that the pelvic floor toning balls are cleaned before using for the first time and after each use and before the first use. Clean with either an alcohol-free antibacterial wipe such as TensCare Wipes (see X-WIPES) or by washing with warm soapy water. Rinse in clean water and dry thoroughly after use and return them to the storage box.
How to insert Fleur, pelvic floor toning balls
Before using the pelvic floor toning balls, you will need to visit the toilet to empty your bladder.
Fleur is formed of two balls connected by a cord, you will have to introduce the spheres one after the other without forcing. For a natural and comfortable placement, we recommend that you perform small contractions of your pelvic floor. In order to enhance their benefits it is recommended to push the balls quite deep, do not hesitate to use a finger to facilitate the placement.
For easier insertion, you may want to lubricate the toning balls with a water-based lubricant, such as TensCare Go Gel or water. Do not use silicone-based lubricant or other oils.
Ensure that the cord is out of your vagina at all times.
How to use Fleur, pelvic floor toning balls
Once the toning balls are inserted into your vagina, you will be able to tone your muscles in two different ways:
• Active use: You will perform Kegel exercises to work the pelvic floor muscles and tone them by performing repetitive voluntary contractions.
• Passive use: After inserting the toning balls, you will be able to carry out your usual activities. In this case, you will contract the pelvic floor muscles without thinking about it to maintain the toning balls in their position.
Kegel exercises
First, it is important to find your pelvic floor muscles and feel them working. So here are a couple of techniques which might help:
Try inserting one or two clean fingers into your vagina and then squeezing the surrounding muscles, lifting up and towards your belly button – a squeezing and lifting sensation.
Another way is to try and stop the flow of urine during urination. If you are successful, then you know you are exercising the correct muscles.
Try to remember the lifting and squeezing sensation and when you are ready try to recreate it just using the muscles you identified earlier; don't tense the muscles in your legs, stomach or buttocks and remember to breathe normally.
Aim to hold each squeeze or 'contraction' for three to five seconds, then release and relax. You should feel a 'letting go' of the muscles. Rest for five seconds and then repeat.
Try and do about ten squeezes in this way.
Repeat the whole process three or four times a day.
Over a few weeks try to increase the muscle contractions up to about ten seconds, but remember to rest in between each squeeze for longer periods.

Note: It is important to aim for quality contractions, not quantity, so a few good hard squeezes are better than a series of weak ones.
Do not worry if you find holding for 3 seconds difficult at first. Just squeeze for as long as you feel comfortable to do so. The more exercise you do, the stronger the muscles will become and the longer you will be able to squeeze.
Other pelvic floor exercises
Exercise 1:
- Insert the toning balls, squat down very low.
- Stay in this position and contract the pelvic floor muscles and keep contracting for 5 seconds against the toning balls.
- Stand up and then relax for 5 seconds.
- Repeat this cycle about 5 times in a row.
Exercise 2:
- Insert the toning balls and face a step or stairs.
- Climb on the step with one foot and then the other while keeping your pelvic floor muscles contracted against the toning balls. Hold the contraction for 2 seconds. This is quick movement but try to contract as intensely as possible.
- Go down the step with one foot and then the other and then relax the muscles for 2 seconds.
- Repeat this cycle about 10 times.
Exercise 3:
Being able to relax the pelvic floor muscles completely is just as important as being able to contract them. This exercise has been developed to help you understand your pelvic floor.
- Insert the toning balls and do a forward lunge: feet next to each other first and then move the left foot forward while bending your knees.
- Stay in this lunge position and contract the muscles upwards against the toning balls going down for 2 seconds.
- Slowly relax the pelvic floor muscles while keeping control.
- Repeat this cycle about 5 times with maintaining the lunge position the whole time.
- Keep the pelvic floor muscles relaxed and get back into the initial position (standing up with the feet next to each other). Start again with the other foot going forward, 5 times too.
How to remove Fleur, pelvic floor toning balls
The removal of the toning balls is very easy. You will need to relax the muscles completely and pull gently on the cord.
After use, it is important to carefully clean the toning balls for future use.
How long to wear Fleur, pelvic floor toning balls
The toning balls can be worn every day, with sessions ranging from 10 to 30 minutes if you use them by doing Kegel exercises.
If you use them passively, you can wear them longer while doing your daily activities. Please note that if the wearing of the toning balls becomes uncomfortable or painful, you will need to stop use immediately.
You should not use your Fleur for more than 60 minutes. Be aware that using the toning balls for too long (hours rather than tens of minutes) can produce the opposite of the desired effect, which is a depletion of the pelvic floor muscles, or even hypertonia.
