What is the function of this UPS?

The UPS EnerGenie UPS-PC-1202AP protects your electronic equipment against power outages, surges, and voltage fluctuations. It provides temporary battery power to allow you to properly shut down your devices.

How to install the UPS?

Plug the UPS directly into a wall outlet, without using a power strip. Connect your essential devices (PC, monitor) to the protected outlets. Turn on the UPS and let it charge for at least 4 hours before first use.

What to do in case of a power outage?

The UPS switches automatically to battery power. An intermittent beep sounds. Turn off your devices within a few minutes to avoid complete discharge of the battery. When mains power returns, the UPS recharges automatically.

How long does the battery backup last?

The backup time depends on the connected load. For a 300 W PC, expect about 10 to 15 minutes. For a light load, the backup time can reach 30 minutes. Consult the manual for more details.

How to replace the battery?

The battery is replaceable. Unplug the UPS, open the battery compartment with a screwdriver. Disconnect the terminals, insert the new battery (same type: 12 V 9 Ah) and close. Observe polarity. See the manual for details.

Are the sockets protected against surges?

Yes, 4 sockets out of 8 are equipped with surge protection and noise filtering. Plug your sensitive equipment (PC, monitor) into these outlets, identifiable by a mark on the casing.

What do the LED indicators mean?

The green LED indicates the UPS is on mains power and the battery is charging. The yellow LED indicates the UPS is operating on battery. The red LED indicates a fault (overload, defective battery). Consult the manual for specific codes.

Can I connect a laser printer to the UPS?

It is not recommended to connect a laser printer to this UPS because it draws a lot of power during printing and may overload the UPS. Use a non-protected outlet or a separate power strip instead.

How to clean the UPS?
