Twisted Pair - RJ45
Connect the UTP port of the media converter to an RJ45 port on the network; e.g., to an Ethernet switch. Cat5e or better cabling is recommended.
SFP+ Slot
This media converter requires an SFP+ transceiver module that provides fiber optic connections.
1 Insert the transceiver into the media converter. Next, install the fiber optic cable into the transceiver.
2 Install the other end of the fiber optic cable into an appropriate port in your fiber network.
Maximum length and fiber cable specification depend on the model.

Power
Plug the 12 VDC power adapter into the input jack on the media converter. Then connect it to a regular power outlet. Only use the included power adapter or one with matching specifications (output of 12 VDC, 1 A).
