How to connect my smartphone via Bluetooth to the turntable?

Turn the mode knob to BT IN. The indicator blinks blue. Activate Bluetooth on your smartphone and search for 'Berklee' in the device list. Select it to pair. A tone confirms the connection and the indicator turns solid blue.

How to play a vinyl record?

Turn the mode knob to PHONO. Select the speed (33/45/78 rpm) with the selector. Place the record on the turntable, use the 45 rpm adapter if needed. Remove the stylus guard, release the tonearm, then use the lever to gently lower the arm onto the record.

How to use the AUX input?

Turn the mode knob to AUX IN. Connect a 3.5 mm audio cable (not included) from your device (phone, MP3) to the AUX IN jack on the back of the device. You can then listen to music from your external device.

How to stream music from the turntable to an external Bluetooth speaker?

Turn the mode knob to BT OUT. The indicator blinks blue. Put your external BT speaker in pairing mode. The two devices connect automatically within 30 to 45 seconds. A tone confirms the connection and the indicator turns solid blue. The vinyl music will then be streamed to the external speaker.

What should I do if there is no sound from the speakers?

First check that the speakers are properly connected to the OUT-L and OUT-R jacks on the back. Make sure the volume is high enough and the device is powered on. If using Bluetooth, verify that the source device is connected and playing.

How to change the playback speed of a record?

Use the speed selector located near the turntable. You can choose between 33, 45, and 78 rpm depending on the record.

This is probably due to the automatic stop. If the automatic stop switch is ON, the record stops at the end of playback. To avoid this, set the switch to OFF.

GETTING STARTED

1. Connect the left and right speakers to the OUT-L/OUT-R jacks on the back of the unit.
2. Place the speakers on a flat and level surface. The chosen location should be stable and free from vibrations.
3. First connect the mains cable to the unit and then connect the power supply unit to the mains socket.
4. Turn the on/off volume control on the unit to switch the unit on and off.

BT IN MODE

1. Turn the mode knob to BT IN. The mode indicator turns blue and flashes.
2. Switch on the BT function of your audio device or mobile phone Search for "Berklee" in the BT device list and pair your device with the record player.
3. Once your device is successfully connected to the speakers, you will hear a short confirmation tone from the speakers and the function indicator will light up blue.
4. Play and stream music from your device to the speakers.

AUX IN MODE

Turn the function knob to AUX IN. Connect a 3.5 mm audio cable (not included) to the AUX IN jack of the speaker and the other end to the output jack of your audio device (mobile phone/MP3 player). Now you can play music from your external device.

PHONO MODE (RECORD PLAYER)

1. Turn the mode knob to PHONO.
2. Select the desired speed (33/45/78 RPM) and place the record on the turntable. If you are playing a 45 RPM record, use the 45 RPM adapter.
3. Remove the needle guard from the needle. Release the tone arm from the tone arm clamp.
4. Operate the tone arm lever to raise the tone arm. Gently move the tone arm to the desired position over the record. Press the tone arm lever again to slowly lower the tone arm to the desired position on the record and start playback.
5. When the record has finished playing, press the tone arm lever again to raise the tone arm. Put the tone arm back on the armrest. Operate the tone arm lever to lower the tone arm.

Please note:

• When the Auto Stop switch is ON, the record will automatically stop when it is finished. When the Auto Stop switch is OFF, the record will not stop when playback is finished.
• Do not touch the tip of the needle with your fingers.

BT OUT MODE

This function allows music played on the unit to be transmitted to an external BT speaker or BT headphones via a wireless BT connection.

1. Turn the mode knob to the BT OUT position. The mode indicator turns blue and flashes.
2. Switch on the external Bluetooth receiving device (BT speaker or BT headphones) and enter pairing mode.
3. The record player and the external Bluetooth receiver are automatically connected. This process can take up to approx. 30-45 seconds. To establish a good connection, do not place the BT receiver more than 1 m away from the unit.
4. Once the record player is successfully connected to the external BT speakers, you will hear a short confirmation tone from the speakers and the function indicator will light up blue.
5. Select the desired speed (33/45/78 RPM) and place the record on the turntable. The music is played through the external BT speaker/headphones.

AUDIO OUT MODE

The audio jacks output analogue line-level signals and can be connected directly to a pair of powered speakers or to the corresponding input of your stereo system.

Note: The audio sockets are not intended for direct connection to passive speakers. When connected to the passive speakers, the volume level is very low.

HEADPHONE MODE

This unit can be connected to headphones via the headphone jack.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Possible cause and solution

In BT OUT mode, the unit and the BT receiver cannot be connected successfully	Switch the unit and the BT receiver off. Attempt the pairing step again from the beginning.
	Check if the record player is connected to another BT receiver.
