3. Important safety guidelines for this device

• Installation and maintenance work should be carried out only by a trained electrician in accordance with local safety regulations.
• Check the device for possible damage prior to commissioning.
• The manufacturer is not liable for any damage which may occur due to technical changes and non-compliance with these instructions.

• Ensure that power is switched off before starting the assembly.

• Please observe all the safety rules given below at all times.

• Disconnect from the mains: Ensure that the output power circuit is free of voltage.
• Secure against switching on again: Ensure that no one accidentally switches on the power again. Mask the fuse so as to prevent an accidental switching-on again!
• Ensure that there is no voltage: Using a measuring device or a voltage tester (phase tester), verify that the circuit has no power.

4. Installation

Take the device out of the package and remove all packaging material. Deactivate the fuse of the power circuit at the place where you want to connect the spot-light.

1. Make a hole with the required diameter at the respective location.

1. Connect the recessed spotlight directly to the mains. You will require a transformer for this purpose.
2. Press the clips of the spotlight upwards and insert it into the drilled hole.

The clips automatically attach themselves to the edges of the hole, thereby giving the recessed spotlight the necessary hold.

1. When the installation is complete, you must re-activate the previously deactivated fuse.

2. Thanks to the high flexibility of the recessed light, you can change the lighting direction and tilt the device to the required side. The spotlight is now ready for operation.

CAUTION!

1. Safety instructions and Disclaimer

Note: During assembly, please keep a safe distance of at least 5cm between the lamp and the ceiling (cavity)! If necessary, please inform yourself in advance about the properties and heat tolerance of the building material or the insulating material!

Do not operate the device in areas above 35^ C or below 10^ C. Do not expose the product to excessive heat, moisture or dust. Never use solvents or strong detergents when cleaning. Use a damp cloth. Never attempt to open the device for repairs or modifications. Never try to open the device to carry out repairs or conversions. Avoid contact with mains voltages. Do not short-circuit the product.

The device is not certified for use in the open air; only use it in dry conditions. Protect it from high humidity, water and snow. Keep it away from high temperatures. Do not subject the device to sudden changes in temperature or heavy vibration as this might damage electronic components. Examine the device for damage before using it. The unit should not be used if it has received an impact or has been damaged in any other way. Please observe national regulations and restrictions. Do not use the device for purposes other than those described in the instructions. This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children or mentally impaired persons. Any repair or alteration to the device not carried out by the original supplier, will invalidate the warranty or guarantee. The product may only be used by persons who have read and understood these instructions. The device specifications may change without any separate prior notice to this effect.

6. Disposal instructions

Electrical and electronic devices may only be disposed of in accordance with the European WEEE Directive and not with household rubbish. Components must be disposed of or recycled separately as dangerous, toxic elements can inflict sustained damage on the environment if they are disposed of incorrectly. As a consumer, you are bound by the Electrical and Electronic Devices Act (ElektroG) to return electrical and electronic goods free of charge at the end of their useful life to the manufacturer, the place of purchase or to specially set up, public collection points. The details in each case are governed by national law. The symbol on the product, the operating instructions and/or the packaging refers to these regulations.
