How to set the starting DMX address on the Chauvet Rogue R1X Wash?

Access the main menu, select 'Address', then use the arrow keys to choose an address between 001 and 512. Confirm with the 'Enter' button (DMX address).

What are the available DMX modes and how to select them?

The Rogue R1X Wash offers 4 personalities: 14CH, 15CH, 19CH and 21CH. In the 'Run Mode' menu, choose 'DMX' then the desired personality. The 21CH mode offers the most complete control with movement macros (DMX personalities).

How to perform an automatic test of the fixture?

In the main menu, go to 'Run Mode' then select 'Auto Test'. The fixture will automatically execute a test sequence of all its functions (automatic test).

What to do if the fixture no longer responds to DMX commands?

First check the DMX cabling and the starting address. Make sure the console is sending data. If the problem persists, try a factory reset via the 'Factory Set' menu.

How to clean the lenses of the Rogue R1X Wash?

Unplug the fixture. Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with an optical glass cleaner. Never apply liquid directly to the lens (lens maintenance).

What is the maximum number of fixtures I can daisy chain electrically?

This depends on the voltage: up to 7 units at 100 V, 9 at 120 V, 16 at 208 V, 18 at 230 V and 19 at 240 V. Never exceed these limits to avoid overloads (electrical daisy chaining).

How to replace the fuse of the fixture?

Disconnect power. Use a flathead screwdriver to unscrew the fuse holder cover. Remove the defective fuse and replace it with an identical fuse (same type and amperage). Screw the cover back on (fuse replacement).

The fan is too noisy, how to make it quieter?

In the 'Setup' menu, set the 'Fans' option to 'ECO'. This mode prioritizes silence while adapting speed to temperature. You can also select 'Auto' for automatic management (ECO fan mode).

How to reverse the rotation direction of Pan or Tilt?

In the 'Setup' menu, go to 'Pan Reverse' or 'Tilt Reverse' and set to 'ON' to reverse the direction. This is useful if the fixture is mounted upside down (pan/tilt reverse).

What to do if the display screen is inverted?

In the 'Setup' menu, select 'Screen Rev' and set to 'ON' to invert the display by 180°, or 'OFF' for normal display (screen rotation).

AC Power

This product has an auto-ranging power supply that can work with an input voltage range of 100–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz.

Power Linking

It is possible to power link up to 7 Rogue R1X Wash products at 100 V, 9 products at 120 V, 16 products at 208 V, 18 products at 230 V, or up to 19 products at 240 V. Never exceed this number. Power-linking cables can be purchased separately.

To eliminate unnecessary wear and improve its lifespan, during periods of non-use completely disconnect the product from power via breaker or by unplugging it.

Replacing the Fuse

1. Disconnect the product from power.
2. Using a flat head screwdriver, unscrew the fuse holder cap from the housing.
3. Remove blown fuse and replace with a good fuse of the same type and rating.
4. Screw the fuse holder cap back in place and reconnect power.

DMX Linking

The Rogue R1X Wash will work with a DMX controller using a 3- or 5-pin DMX serial connection. A DMX Primer is available from www.chauvetprofessional.com.

DMX Connection

The Rogue R1X Wash uses a 3- or 5-pin DMX data connection for its DMX personalities: 14CH, 15CH, 19CH, and 21CH. See the User Manual for information about connecting and configuring the product for DMX operation.

RDM (Remote Device Management)

Remote Device Management, or RDM, is a standard for allowing DMX-enabled devices to communicate bi-directionally along existing DMX cabling. Check the DMX controller's User Manual or with the manufacturer as not all DMX controllers have this capability. The Rogue R1X Wash supports RDM protocol that allows feedback to make changes to menu map options. Download the User Manual from www.chauvetprofessional.com for more details.

Mounting

Before mounting this product, read the Safety Notes. Use at least one mounting point per product. Make sure the mounting clamps are capable of supporting the weight of the product. For our Chauvet line of mounting clamps, go to http://trusst.com/productcategory/truss-clamps/.
