How to set up the WELL Com for the first time?

Plug in the WELL Com, enable Wi-Fi on your mobile device, download the WELL COM app, connect to the default Wi-Fi network 'WIFI-WELL COM' via Wi-Fi settings, then open the app to begin setup.

How to connect the WELL Com to my Wi-Fi network?

The WELL Com creates its own default Wi-Fi network. In the app, you can manually select a channel (CH2 or CH11) to avoid interference. It does not connect to an existing network; it acts as an access point.

How to charge the WELL Com battery?

Use the micro USB-B port on the back of the device with the provided external power supply. Full charge time is 8 hours. The battery LED blinks during charging.

How to reset the pairing of wireless devices?

Press the pairing reset button (button 1) on the front of the device. The Wi-Fi Pairing LED blinks for 5 seconds, then blinks intermittently when the connection is active.

What do the LED indicators mean?

The DMX LED blinks if no DMX signal is detected, solid if present. The Wi-Fi LED blinks if no Wi-Fi signal, solid if present. The battery LED green (50-100%), orange (25-50%), red (<20%), blinks while charging.

How to connect wired DMX devices to the WELL Com?

Use the DMX input port (5-pin XLR) on the front. An adapter is included. Ensure the devices are set to receive on the same DMX channel as configured in the app.

What is the range of the WELL Com Wi-Fi signal?

The range is not specified, but for optimal use, stay within 30 meters indoors without major obstacles. Manual channel selection can improve stability.

Setting Up Products with WELL COM

The WELL COM is ready to use straight out of the box.

To configure your products with WELL COM you must perform the following steps:

1. Connect WELL COM to power.
2. Turn on Wi-Fi™ on your mobile device.

If you have not already done so, download and install the WELL COM app onto your mobile device.

1. Go to the Wi-Fi™ settings on your mobile device and connect to WELL COM's default Wi-Fi™ (SSID) WIFI-WELL COM. To avoid interference with other wireless signals in the immediate area, manually select the Wi-Fi™ channel (CH 2 or CH11) on the WELL COM within the app settings.
2. Set your products to receive signal input from WELL COM. For details, refer to the User Manuals for the products in your setup.

a. Set products to receive signals on the same channel as was set on WELL COM in the previous step.
b. Set products to their most basic DMX personality.

Make sure the DMX starting address is set to 001.

1. Select whether WELL COM receives signals wirelessly or via a DMX cable.

For DMX products, be sure to use a DMX cable to connect from DMX Out of the product transmitting the DMX signal to the DMX In of the product receiving the DMX signal. An adapter has been included for this purpose.

1. Once your products are properly connected to WELL COM, and WELL COM is properly connected to the WELL COM app, open the WELL COM app on your mobile device.

Using your mobile device, you can now select the colors emitted by your lights. For more details or further information, refer to the WELL COM User Manual located within the app or online at www.chauvetprofessional.com.
