Important information for your safety is specially marked. It is essential to comply with these instructions in order to avoid accidents and prevent damage to the appliance:

This refers to possible hazards to the appliance or other objects.

General Notes
Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this appliance to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.
- The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use.
- Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
- When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
- Do not operate the appliance without supervision. If you leave the room you should always turn the appliance off. Remove the plug from the socket.
- The appliance and the mains lead have to be checked regularly for signs of damage. If damage is found the appliance must not be used.
- Use only original spare parts.
- In order to ensure your children's safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.

Do not allow small children to play with the foil.

WARNING OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK!
Do not use this appliance near baths, wash basins or other vessels containing water.

WARNING:
- If the appliance is used in the bathroom, disconnect it from the mains after use as nearby water presents a hazard. This also applies if the appliance is switched off.

WARNING:
- As additional protection we recommend the installation of a fault current protection appliance (FI / RCD) with a rated current of not more than 30 mA in the wiring system of the bathroom. Please contact an authorised electrician for advice.
- The nozzle gets hot during operation! Risk of burns!

Please ensure that the inlet grille remains free of fluff and hairs. Danger of fire!

Do not repair the appliance by yourself. Always contact an authorized technician. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Children must not play with the appliance. - Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by children, unless they are supervised.

CAUTION:
This appliance is not intended to be immersed in water during cleaning. Please observe the instructions that we have included for you in the chapter “Cleaning”.
Notes for Use
Touch Sensor
The touch sensor is located on the back of the handle. The appliance only starts operating after a fan function has been selected and when the sensor surface is touched.

CAUTION:
After each use, turn off the appliance at the switch and remove the mains plug! The touch sensor is suitable only for brief interruptions under supervision. In this case, the appliance is in standby mode.
Accessories
- Attach a nozzle if necessary.
- You can dry single hair locks by concentrating the flow of hot air with the hairdressing nozzle.
- The diffuser is the ideal solution to dry curly hair without losing volume.
- In order to remove the nozzle, let the appliance cool down. You can speed up that process by pressing the COOL button for approx. 12 minute during operation. You may then simply remove the nozzle.
Electrical Connection
- Unwind the mains cable completely.
- Before inserting the plug into the socket, make sure that the mains voltage to be used matches that of the appliance. You can find this information on the nameplate.
- Connect the appliance to a properly installed earthed socket.
Use
- Turn the appliance on with the bottom switch on the handle. The appliance is in standby mode.
- Select an air stream level on the handle (bottom switch):
Position 0: off
Position ✦: gentle stream of air
Position × strong stream of air
The control lamp now illuminates.
- Setting the Temperature level (top switch):
Position 1: low temperature
Position ≈ medium temperature for gentle drying and shaping
Position high temperature for rapid drying
- Now touch the sensor surface and the hair dryer will start operating in the setting of your choice.
i NOTE:
If you want to interrupt operation for a short time, put the appliance aside. The appliance will enter the standby mode. The settings on the hair dryer are retained.
COOL (Cold Air)
With this switch you can stop the heating process.
Hold the button down in this position according to the desired interval length. When the button is released it returned automatically to the initial position.
Ionizing Function – Reduction of Static in Hair
The appliance is also fitted with an ionizer which gives off negative ions with the air flow when switching on. This process supports safe, gentle drying of hair and also promotes a better hair structure, maximizes hair volume, provides for a silky finish and also reduces static in the hair.
This process is particularly gentle on stressed hair.
Switch-off
Set the switch to "0" after use. The control lamp turns off.
Disconnect the mains plug from the socket.
Storage
- Leave the appliance to cool down before putting it away!
- Hang the appliance up by the suspension eye.
Mains Cable
- The mains cable should only be wound up loosely.
- Never tie the cable tightly round the appliance, as over time this may result in the cable breaking.
- Check the mains cable regularly for damage.
Cleaning

WARNING:
- Before cleaning remove the mains lead from the socked.
- Under no circumstances should you immerse the appliance in water for cleaning purposes. Otherwise this might result in an electric shock or fire.

CAUTION:
- Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
- Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
Clean the housing with a soft, dry cloth without additives.
Air Intake Grill
Please clean the grill on the air intake side of the hair dryer regularly in order to avoid excessive temperatures as a result of heat accumulation.
- Unscrew the grille in an anticlockwise direction.
- Remove any dirt that is present.
- If necessary, a fine brush can be used.
- Turn the grille tight in a clockwise direction.
