How to open and close the FX-DS8L sprayer?

To open, unscrew the pump head by turning counterclockwise. To close, screw it back on firmly after filling. Make sure the seal is in place.

What to do if the pump does not build up pressure?

Operate the pump lever several times while the lance is closed, then open the lance. If the tank contains little liquid, continue pumping until you feel pressure. Also check that all connections are tight and the seals are in good condition.

Why is no liquid coming out even though the pump is under pressure?

The filter or nozzle of the lance is probably blocked. Clean the filter and nozzle with clean water.

What type of product can I use in the FX-DS8L?

The device is designed for water mixtures with BBA-approved plant protection products (liquid fertilizers, herbicides, etc.). Never use solvents, corrosive substances or petroleum products.

How to clean the sprayer after use?

Empty the tank, rinse it with clean water, then run the pump with clean water until all components are washed. Let air dry. Once a year, clean the pump and grease the moving parts.

What safety precautions should I take?

Wear protective clothing and follow the product dosages. Do not spray on people or animals. Do not smoke or eat during use. Wash hands thoroughly after use. Keep the device out of reach of children.

Can I use the device in windy weather?

No, it is forbidden to use the sprayer on days with strong wind to avoid product drift.

Protect the device from frost. Completely empty the liquid and store it in a place protected from frost and heat sources.

7. Wartung

Read these instructions thoroughly before initial operation. They are an integral part of this device.

This device is only intended for the application of aqueous sprays in the home and allotment garden sectors. Usage of liquid fertilizers, weed-killers and plant protection products (PSM) approved by the Federal Biological Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry (BBA) is permissible. No known damaging effects of these approved PSMs on the product materials used were known at the time of manufacture. If in doubt, please contact your pesticide manufacturer.

Start Up

Each time before the device is used, the device should be checked to ensure that it is in a safe and serviceable condition or at least it should be checked for visible damages. Only add as much spraying fluid as necessary. Pay attention during filling that nothing spills over and that nothing sprays back. Use a funnel and a strainer for this.

Maintenance

After use, wash out the container with clean water. Then operate the unit with clean water until all of the components have been washed out. Leave open to dry.

The pump should be cleaned thoroughly once a year and all moving parts should be greased or oiled.

Troubleshooting

The pump is pressurized but does not emit any liquid:

a) Check whether the filter and the nozzle of the spray lance are clean and clean if necessary.
No pressure is building up on the pump:
b) Activate the pump lever several times while the spray lance is closed and then open the pray lance.
c) When a little fluid is in the container, activate the pump lever until a certain resistance is felt.
d) Check whether all closures are tightly screwed.
e) Check whether the seals are intact. Replace if need be.
