What type of batteries to use with the Dörr JL-3 LED flashlight?

The flashlight works with 2 CR123A batteries included or alternatively with 1 lithium-ion 18650 rechargeable battery (not included). Strictly observe polarity (+/-) when inserting.

How to turn on the flashlight silently?

For silent activation, lightly tap the push button (5) without fully clicking, or use the remote switch (7) provided, pressing the plunger (7b) without clicking noise.

What is the maximum range of the flashlight?

The maximum range is 250 meters with a brightness of 800 lumens.

How to install the red and green filters?

First turn off the flashlight. Attach the filter (red or green) onto the rubber cap (8) by pushing the glass completely, then cover the flashlight head (1) with the cap. The filters make the light nearly invisible to game.

Is the flashlight waterproof?

Yes, it is certified IPX6, meaning it resists powerful water jets. It can be used in the rain but is not designed for prolonged immersion.

What maintenance is recommended for the flashlight?

Clean the exterior with a slightly damp microfiber cloth (no gasoline or harsh products). Before cleaning, turn off the flashlight and remove the batteries. Store it in a dry, cool place away from dust.

Can rechargeable batteries be used?

Yes, you can use a lithium-ion 18650 rechargeable battery (sold separately). Never charge non-rechargeable batteries, risk of explosion.

How to replace the batteries?

Unscrew the lower part (4) counterclockwise. Insert the batteries observing polarity (+/-), then screw back tightly.

What to do in case of battery leakage?

Immediately remove leaking batteries and rinse the contacts. Avoid contact with acid; if contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water and consult a doctor. Dispose of used batteries at appropriate collection points.

How to use the remote switch?

Unscrew the lower part of the flashlight and screw the lower part of the remote switch (7a) onto the handle. To turn on, press and hold the plunger (7b); release to turn off. Silent operation.

01 | SAFETY HINTS

- Do not look directly into the LED and do not direct the light beam into the eyes of humans or animals!

• CAUTION:

Looking into the light for an extended period of time may cause an irreversible damage to the retina.

• The torch is not suitable for examinations of the eyes (pupils test)!

• Do not point the light at vehicles or aircrafts.

- Do not light up any magnifying bundled objects (e.g. mirrors) - risk of fire!

- Make sure to use the torch only with appropriate, high-quality batteries of type CR123A (included) or with rechargeable battery type 18650 (optional). When inserting the batteries please respect the correct polarity (+/-). Please remove batteries when device is not in use for a long period of time.

- Turn off the torch after use.

- Protect the device from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

- Do not attempt to repair the device by yourself. When service or repair is required, contact qualified service personnel.

• People with physical or cognitive disabilities should use the device with supervision.

• People with cardiac pacemakers, defibrillators or any other electrical implants should maintain a minimum distance of 30 cm, as the device generates magnetic fields.

- Do not use the device nearby mobile phones and devices that generate strong electromagnetic fields (e.g. electric engines).

02 | SAFETY HINTS FOR BATTERIES/ACCUMULATORS

Only use high-quality batteries/accumulators of popular brands. When inserting the batteries/ accumulators, please respect the correct polarity (+/-). Do not insert batteries of different types and always replace all batteries at the same time. Do not combine used batteries with fresh batteries. Please remove batteries/ accumulators when device is not in use for a long period of time. Do not throw the batteries/accumulators into fire, do not short-circuit and do not disassemble them! Never charge non-rechargeable batteries - risk of explosion! Remove empty batteries immediately from the device to avoid the leaking of battery acid. Remove leaking batteries from the device immediately. Clean the contacts before inserting fresh batteries. Risk of battery acid burn! In case of contact with battery acid, rinse the affected area immediately with water and contact a doctor. Batteries can be dangerous to life if swallowed. Keep batteries/accumulators away from small children and pets. Do not dispose of batteries in household waste (see also chapter "Disposal of Batteries/Accumulators").

05 | INSERTING THE BATTERIES

Unscrew the light end piece (4) counter clockwise to the left. Insert the supplied CR123 A batteries into the battery compartment (3) according to correct polarity (+/-). Screw on the light end piece (4) again.

NOTE

Alternatively, the torch can be operated with a rechargeable battery type optionally available in stores).

06 | OPERATION

To turn on the light and for continuous operation, firmly press the on/off button (5) at the light end piece until it clicks.

To switch on the torch silently, just lightly tap and hold the on/off button (5).

CAUTION

Do not look directly into the LED and do not direct the light beam into the eyes of humans or animals!

NOTE

During the operation the aluminum housing will warm up.

Press the on/off button (5) to turn off the light after use.

06.2 RED/GREEN TOP FILTER

Make sure to turn off the light with the on/off button (5) before mounting the top filter (7). Insert the desired top filter (9, red or green) into the rubber filter cap (8) and push the filter to the front. Pull the filter cap (8) over the LED light head.

06.3 REMOTE SWITCH

Make sure to turn off the light with the on/off button (5) before mounting the remote switch (7). Unscrew the light end piece (4) counter clockwise to the left. Screw the end piece of the remote switch (7a) to the light body.

The pressure switch (7b) allows a silent operation of the torch. To switch on the light, press and hold the pressure switch (7b). To switch off the light, release the pressure switch.

Never use aggressive cleansing agents or benzine to clean the device. We recommend a soft, slightly damp microfiber cloth to clean the outer parts of the device. Turn off the device and remove batteries before cleaning. Store the device in a dust-free, dry and cool place. This device is not a toy – keep it out of reach of children. Keep away from pets.

10.1 DISPOSAL OF BATTERIES/ACCUMULATORS

Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed out bin. This symbol indicates that empty batteries or accumulators which can no longer be charged should not be disposed of with household waste.
