Tips for making Espresso
-For best results, use fresh-ground, dark, espresso roast coffee.
- If espresso pre-ground coffee is used, store the unused portion in an airtight container and keep in a cool, darl< area for up to one week
The glind of the coffee will affect the lasts of the coffee and how the appliance works. If the glind is too coarse, waler will flow too fast through the coffee and result in a weaker flavor.
If the grind is too fine, the flavor may be too strong or bitter, and the grounds may clog the filter.
-
For hotter espresso, preheat the filter holder, the ground espresso filter, and the pod filler by first brewing water into the cups for a few seconds and then emptying the brewed water
-
CAUTION Bum Hazard. The metal parts of the filter holder may be hot
-
Espresso beans may be ground in a coffee grinder. For best results, use a coffee grinder on the fine setting. If grinding espresso in a store or using a burr mill, then use a setting that is one to two notches coarser than the espresso setting.
-
Grind your espresso so that it looks brittle, like salt or sand. It is too fine if it looks like powder and feels like flour II the
coffeel is ground too fine, then the water will not flow through the coffee.
- Always use cold water to make coffee. Warm water or other liquids could cause damage to the appliance
-Filtered water will make the best-tasting coffee.
Clean and maintenance
-
Cut off power source and let the coffee maker cool down completely before cleaning.
-
Clean housing of coffee maker with moisture-proof sponge often and clean water tank, drip tray and removable shelf regularly then dry them.
Note: Do not clean with alcohol or solvent cleanse r. Never immerse the housing in water for cleaning
Clean all the accessories in the water and dry thoroughly,

| Machine is noisy when operating. | • Is the water reservoir empty? • Is the water reservoir properly fitted into position? • Is the filter holder properly fitted into position? |
| Espresso does not have any or enough crema. | • Coffee is old or dry. Use freshly roasted and ground coffee. • Coffee not compacted firmly enough. Tamp coffee grounds with more pressure. • Coffee grind is too coarse. Use a finer grind of pre-ground coffee or grind the coffee beans to a finer texture. |
| Difficult to froth milk | • Always use fresh, cold milk (skim milk is recommended). • Use a cold, stainless steel cup and move the cup slightly up and down while frothing. • Clean the frothing nozzle. • Trying to froth too much milk; reduce amount of milk in cup |
| Espresso tastes burnt. | • Change the type of coffee being used. Experiment with various types and brands of coffee beans. • Appliance has not been rinsed after descaling. |
| No steam from the steam nozzle. | Steam nozzle is blocked. |
