IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Before using the electrical appliance, the following basic precautions should always be followed including the following:

1. Make sure that your outlet voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on the rating label of the coffee maker.

2. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance shall

not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years. Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.

1. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

2. Do not let the coffee maker operate without water.

3. To protect against fire, electric shock and injury to persons, do not immerse cord, plug, and the appliance in water or other liquid.
4. Close supervision is necessary when your appliance is operating. Do not let the appliance on the standby state for a long time. And never allow the children or inform persons to operate the appliance.
5. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cooling before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance.
6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug

or after the appliance malfunctions, or has been damaged in any manner.

Return appliance to an authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.

1. The use of attachments not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
2. Do not use outdoors.
3. Place appliance on flat surface or table, do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surface.

4. Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.

5. Do not use appliance for other than intended use and place it in a dry environment.

6. Connect plug to wall outlet before using and turn any switch off before plug is removed from wall outlet. When unplug, always hold the plug. But never pull the cord.
7. Some parts of appliance are hot when operated, so do not touch with hand directly. Use handles or knobs only.
8. The container is designed for use with this appliance. It must never be used on a range top.
9. Do not clean container with cleansers, steel wool pads, or other abrasive material.
10. Never leave the empty carafe on the keeping warm

plate otherwise the carafe is liable to crack.

1. Never use the appliance if the carafe shows any signs of cracks or carafe having a loose or weakened handle. Only use the carafe with this appliance. Use carefully as the carafe is very fragile.

2. Do not set a hot container on a hot or cold surface.

3. It is recommended to check regularly the supply cord for any sign of possible deterioration, and the appliance should not be used if the cable is damaged.

4. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: - Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;

5. Farm houses;

6. By clients in hotels,

motels and other residential

type environments;
- Bed and breakfast type environments.

1. This appliance has been incorporated with a grounded plug. Please ensure the wall outlet in your house is well earthed.
2. The appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
3. Regarding the instructions for cleaning the appliance, thanks to refer to the below paragraph "cleaning" in manual.

4. The heating element surface is subject to residual heat after use. Do not touch these surfaces to avoid burning yourself.

NOTESONTHECORD

a)Ashortpower-supplycord(or detached power-supply cord) is to be provided to reduce risks resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longcord.

b) Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available

and may be used if care is exercised in their use.

c) If a long detachable power-supply cords or extension cord is used,

1) The marked electrical rating of the detachable power-supply cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.

2) The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or table top where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.

BEFORE FIRST USE

Check that all accessories are complete and the unit is not damaged. Fill water into water tank to the maximum level on the water gauge ar brew water for several times without coffee powder, then discard the water. Clean and dry all detachable parts thoroughly according to the section "CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE"

1. Open the top cover and fill the water tank with cold drinking water.

NOTE: Do not fill water tank with water to exceed max level as indicated on water gauge. The appliance can brew max 10 cups of coffee every brewing cycle.

1. Place the funnel into funnel holder and make sure the funnel is assembled in place, and then put a paper filter into funnel correctly.
2. Add proper coffee powder into paper filter. Usually a cup of coffeeneed a level spoon of coffee powder, but you may adjust according to personal taste, and then replace the top cover.
3. Insert glass carafe with lid in place onto warming plate horizontally, ensure center line of carafe aligns with that of funnel.
4. Plug the unit into an outlet.
5. Press the switch, the indicator in it will be illuminated and the appliance will begin working.

Note: The brewing process can be interrupted by pressing the switch again at any time and the indicator in it will go off, indicating your coffee maker is off.

NOTE: The appliance is designed with a pause-and-serve feature, if you wish, at any time during brewing cycle, you can temporarily remove carafe to pour and serve a cup of hot coffee. The brewing cycle will not be interrupted and no coffee will drip from the appliance, simply replace glass carafe onto warming plate to restart the brewing cycle, But do not remove glass carafe for longer than 30s, never return empty carafe onto warming plate when it is still warm.

1. Remove carafe to serve when finish brewing

NOTE: the coffee you get will be less than the water you have added as some water is absorbed by coffee powder.

CAUTION: When pour coffee, the momentary inclined angle of carafe shall not be more than 45 degree from the vertical position, you shall pour the coffee slowly until the carafe is empty, otherwise the coffee in the carafe will rush to the bottom of carafe lid, and the coffee will flow out from two edges of lid and hurt person!

1. After brewing, the appliance will automatically switch to the warming mode, which will continue to keep your coffee warm for 40 minutes. After keeping warm for 40 minutes, the appliance will be cut off automatically. For an optimum coffee taste, serve it just after brewing.

2. Always turn the coffee maker off and unplug the appliance when no in use.

NOTE: The coffee becomes hot when the temperature rises.

Please pour it carefully to avoid burning.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

CAUTION: Be sure to unplug this appliance before cleaning and let the appliance cool down completely. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug or unit in water or liquid.

1) Clean all detachable parts after each use in hot sudsy water.
2) Wipe external surface of product with a soft, damp cloth to remove stains.

NOTE: Do not attempt to clean the inside of water tank, as this will leave a residue of lint and may clog your coffee maker, simply rinse with cold water periodically.

3) Water droplets may buildup in the area above the funnel and drip onto the product base during brewing. To control the dripping, wipe off the area with a clean, dry cloth after each use of the product.
4) Replace all parts and keep for next use.

REMOVING MINERAL DEPOSITS

To keep your coffee maker operating efficiently, periodically you should clean away the mineral deposits left by the water according to the water quality in your area and the use frequency, we recommend removing mineral deposits as follows:

1. Fill the tank with water and descaler to the max level as indicated water gauge (the scale of water and descaler is 4:1, the detail refers to the instruction of descaler. Please use "household descaler"), you may also use the citric acid instead of the descaler (the one hundred parts of water and three parts of citric acid).
2. Insert glass carafe onto the warming plate.
3. Make sure without coffee powder and funnel are assembled in place.
4. Switch on the appliance and allow it to "brew" de-scalingsolution.
5. After "brew" one-cup solution, switch off the appliance.
6. Leave the solution stay for 15 minutes and repeat step 3-5.
7. Switch on the appliance and run off the solution until the water tank iscompletelyempty.
8. Rinse by operating the appliance with water at least 3 times.

HINTS FOR GREAT-TASTING COFFEE

1. A clean coffee maker is essential for making great-tasting coffee. Regularly clean the coffee maker as specified in the "CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE" section. Always use fresh, cold water in the coffeemaker.
2. Store unused coffee powder in a cool, dry place. After opening a package of coffee powder, reseal it tightly and store it in a refrigerator to maintain its freshness.
3. For an optimum coffee taste, buy whole coffee beans and finely grind them just before brewing.
4. Do not reuse coffee powder since this will greatly reduce the coffee flavor. Reheating coffee is not recommended as coffee is at its peak flavor immediately after brewing.
