USER MANUAL 16680051 Melissa
INTRODUCTION To get the best out of your new rechargeable shaver, please read through these instructions carefully before using it for the rst time. Take particular note of the safety precautions. We also recommend that you keep the instructions for future reference. GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- This appliance may only be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they are50
supervised or have been given instructions concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children without supervision.51
- Never leave unattended when in use. Keep an eye on any children in the vicinity of the appliance when it is in use. The appliance is not a toy.
- Incorrect use of this appliance may cause personal injury or damage the appliance.
- Use for the intended purpose only. The manufacturer is not responsible for any52
injury or damage resulting from incorrect use or handling (see also Warranty Terms).
- For domestic use only. Not for outdoor or commercial use.
- Remove all packaging and transport materials from the inside and outside of the appliance.
- Check that the appliance has no visible53
damage and that no parts are missing.
- Do not use with any cords other than that supplied.
- Check that it is not possible to pull or trip over the cord or any extension cord.
- Turn o the appliance and remove the adapter from the socket when cleaning or when not in use.54
- Keep the cord and appliance away from heat sources, hot objects and naked ames.
- The cord must not be twisted or wound around the appliance.
- Check regularly that neither the adapter, cord or plug is damaged and do not use the appliance if there is any damage, or if it has been dropped55
on the oor, dropped in water or damaged in any other way.
- If the appliance, adapter, cord or plug have been damaged, have the appliance inspected and if necessary repaired by an authorised repairer.
- Connect the adapter to 230 V, 50 Hz only.56
The warranty is not valid if the adapter is connected to incorrect voltage.
- Never try to repair the appliance yourself. Please contact the store where you bought the appliance for repairs under warranty.
- Unauthorised repairs or modications will invalidate the warranty.57
- Handle the blade and the cutting foil with care when cleaning them, as the parts are sharp and very fragile.
- Do not use the appliance if the blade or the cutting foil is damaged, as this can result in lesions.58
- Do not expose the motor unit or adapter to water or other liquids.
- The appliance must not be used in the bath or near water, wash basins, bowls or the like.59
- The appliance must be fully charged for 2 hours prior to rst use.
- The appliance can run about 60 minutes on a full charge.
- Check that the appliance is switched o.
- Inset the connector on the adapter (3) cord into the socket on the appliance. Plug the appliance in.
- Charge the appliance. The appliance should not be charged for more than 2 hours. USE Dry shaving:
1. Switch the appliance on by turning the base
of the motor unit from the “O” symbol to the “I” symbol.
2. Hold the shaving head to the skin and press
gently against the skin while stretching it with the other hand. Move the shaving head over the skin in circular motions, not in straight lines.
3. Shake stubble out of the appliance on a regular
basis to avoid it getting stuck in the cutting foil.61
1. Wash the face. Apply shaving foam or shaving
2. Rinse the shaving head under running water.
3. Switch the appliance on by turning the base
of the motor unit from the “O” symbol to the “I” symbol.
4. Hold the shaving head to the skin and press
gently against the skin while stretching it with the other hand. Move the shaving head over the skin in circular motions, not in straight lines.
5. Switch the appliance o by turning the base
of the motor unit from the “I” symbol to the “O” symbol. CLEANING
- Turn o the appliance and remove the adapter connector from the appliance’s charging socket before cleaning.
- Pull the shaving head straight o the appliance. Do not twist or turn it as you pull it o.
- Shake or blow beard debris out of the shaver head and brush the cutting foil using the cleaning brush (5) provided to remove any beard debris.
- Brush the edge and the appliance with the cleaning brush.62
- Replace the shaving head on the appliance.
- You can also rinse the shaving head under running water. Allow it to air-dry completely before retting it. The shaving head must not be wiped with a cloth or paper, as this may damage it!
- Clean the casing by wiping it with a damp cloth. Do not use detergents of any kind.
