Frequently Asked Questions - EMWI82401 EAS Electric

How to install the washing machine and remove the transport bolts?
Before first use, remove the 4 transport bolts at the back using a wrench, then plug the holes with the provided caps. The appliance must be installed on a solid, dry, and level surface, away from frost and heat sources. Connect the water inlet hose to the tap and the drain hose to a suitable drain.
What detergent to use and how to fill the dispenser?
Use a detergent suitable for machine washing. The dispenser has three compartments: I for pre-wash, II for main wash, and the central compartment for fabric softener. Respect the indicated levels and dilute thick products to avoid blockages.
What to do if the washing machine does not start (error code E30)?
Code E30 indicates the door is not properly closed. Check that no clothing is blocking the door and close it correctly. If the problem persists, unplug the appliance for a few minutes and then plug it back in.
How to clean the drain pump filter?
Unplug the appliance and wait for the water to cool. Remove the drainage tray, unscrew the filter by turning it counterclockwise, clean it under running water, then put it back in place. Ensure the cover is tightly closed to prevent leaks.
How to activate the child lock?
Press the [Temp.] and [Centrifug.] buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds until you hear a beep. An indicator lights up. To deactivate, repeat the same operation. This function locks all buttons except [On/Off].
How to use the delay start function?
Select a program, then press [Inicio diferido] to set the start time (from 0 to 24 hours). Then press [Inicio/Pausa] to confirm. To cancel, set to 0H before the program starts.
What is the maximum laundry capacity?
The maximum capacity is 8.0 kg for normal programs (e.g., Cotton). For quick programs like Express 15 min, the load is limited to 2.0 kg. Do not exceed the indicated load to avoid imbalance.
How to choose the right program for my laundry?
Refer to the clothing care labels. Use Eco 40-60 for standard wash, Cotton for resistant cotton, Delicate for silk or wool, and Express 15 min for lightly soiled small loads.
What to do in case of a water leak?
Check the connections of the inlet and drain hoses. Tighten them if necessary. Clean the drain filter if it is clogged. Ensure the detergent drawer is not overfilled. If the leak persists, turn off the water supply and contact a technician.
How to maintain the door seal and drum?
After each wash, wipe the rubber seal and the glass with a damp cloth to remove lint and residues. Clean the drum periodically with a chlorine-free detergent. Leave the door ajar to prevent mold.

1) The highest temperature reached by the laundry in the wash cycle for at least 5 minutes.
2) Residual moisture after the wash cycle in water content percent and the spin speed at which this was achieved.
3) The ECO 40-60 programme is able to clean normally soiled cotton laundry declared to be washable at 40^ C or 60^ C, together in the same cycle. This programme is used to assess the compliance with the regulation (EU) 2019/2023.

The most efficient programmes in terms of energy consumption are generally those that perform at lower temperatures and longer duration.

Loading the household washing machine up to the capacity indicated for the respective programmes will contribute to energy and water savings.

Noise and remaining moisture content are influenced by the spinning speed: the higher the spinning speed in the spinning phase, the higher the noise and the lower the remaining moisture content.

Caution!

- If there is any break in the power supply while the machine is operating, a special memory stores the selected programme. The machine will continue the programme when the power supply is re-established.
