How to install the EMW8440GW washing machine correctly?

Place the machine on a flat and stable surface. Remove the rear transport screws. Connect the water inlet hose to the tap (3/4 inch) and the drain hose to a drain. Plug the power cord into a grounded outlet.

How to clean the drain filter?

Open the lower panel, unscrew the filter cap, drain the residual water and remove impurities. Put the filter back in place and screw it tightly.

What to do if the machine does not drain water?

Check that the drain hose is not kinked or clogged. Clean the drain filter. If the problem persists, consult error code E21 (drain problem).

How to use the Algodón Intensivo 60°C program?

Select this program for normally soiled cotton laundry. Load the machine to full capacity (8 kg). The duration is about 245 minutes. This program is the most energy and water efficient.

What do error codes E30, E10, E21 mean?

E30: door lock problem (usually door not closed properly). E10: water supply problem (tap closed or insufficient pressure). E21: drain problem (clogged filter or blocked pump).

How to maintain the door seal?

Clean the seal regularly with a damp cloth and check for debris. Leave the door ajar after each wash to prevent mold.

Which detergents to use?

Use a detergent suitable for cotton washing machines. Follow the recommended doses on the packaging. Avoid excess detergent that can cause foam.

The machine makes noise during spin, is this normal?

Noise at 79 dB is normal. If the noise is excessive, check that the machine is level and the transport screws are removed. Make sure the laundry is evenly distributed in the drum.

How to activate the child lock?

Press the corresponding buttons (often 'T°' and 'Spin') simultaneously for 3 seconds until a light turns on. Deactivate in the same way.
