SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

1. Read and save these instructions. Attention: pictures in the IM are for reference only.
2. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
3. Children shall not play with the appliance.
4. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
5. Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised.
6. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance.
7. CAUTION — Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present.
8. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

9. For indoor use only.

10. WARNING: This heater is not equipped with a device to control the room temperature. Do not use this heater in small rooms when they are occupied by persons not capable of leaving the room on their own, unless constant supervision is provided.

11. This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications.

12. Before the first use, please read the manual carefully. Keep it for later reference, and hand it over to its new owner, if you give the appliance to another person.

13. WARNING: In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.

14. The heater must not be located immediately below a socket outlet.

15. Do not use this heater in the immediate surroundings of a bath, a shower or a swimming pool.

16. Do not use the appliance with damp hands or on wet ground.

17. Do not hold the appliance under running water or other liquids.

18. Do not move the appliance while in use.

19. Do not hang any clothing on the heater to dry.

20. Do not lay the power cable under a carpet.

21. The heater must always be operated in an upright position.

22. Under no circumstances open the housing yourself.

23. Never leave the appliance unattended and keep children away from it! For the same reason the appliance should not be operated with automatic timer switches!

24. Never cover the appliance and ensure sufficient distance to flammable material! Otherwise there is a risk of fire and explosion.

25. To avoid the risk of electric shock, never insert any objects into the casing or through the guard of the appliance.

26. The metal housing of the appliance can become very hot during operation. To avoid burns, never touch it during operation and keep children away from it. When you stop using the appliance, let it cool down for an adequate amount of time before you touch or store it. If you do not use the appliance for long time, always disconnect it from the mains.

27. Prior to every use, ensure that the appliance is undamaged and in perfect condition. If the appliance is damaged, in particular housing, cord, or power plug, do not connect it to the mains.
28. If the appliance falls, the heating element (the plate behind the guard inside the appliance) can break. Examine the heating element before every use. Do not continue to use the appliance if the heating element is broken.
29. Never open the appliance yourself. If repairs are necessary, have it repaired by a qualified expert.

INSTALLATION AND FIRST USE

• Take the appliance out of the packaging and remove the protective bag.
- Take the appliance upside down. Attach the two feet onto the bottom of the appliance and fix with the provided screws. Insert the four small wheels into the two feet. Then place the appliance on an even, firm and clean surface, and observe the safety distance between the appliance and other objects.

Always place the appliance with a sufficient safety distance to inflammable materials or gases.

Ensure that housing, heating element, power cord and plug are not damaged.

USING THE APPLIANCE

• Set the thermostat to the minimal position and insert the plug to the power supply.
• Turn the thermostat control clockwise all the way round until you hear a “click” sound, this sound indicates that the appliance is activated.
  • Turn on the power setting switch to choose the setting 500W / 700W / 1200W.
• Turning the thermostat clockwise will always increase the set temperature; turning it anticlockwise will decrease the set temperature.
  • The thermostat will automatically turn the heater on and off to keep the setting temperature.

SAFETY SYSTEM

• The appliance has a safety system which automatically switches the unit off when overheated.
- If overheating occurs, switch off the appliance, remove the plug from the socket, and let it cool down for at least 30 minutes. Put the plug in the socket and switch on the heater.
- This heater is equipped with a tilt protection safety device. It has tilt protection safety functions and automatically switches off the power. For safety reasons, the unit will automatically switch off the power if it is put on unstable or uneven surfaces or if it is tilted accidentally.

CLEANING

• Always disconnect the appliance from the mains before cleaning it! Ensure that it has cooled down completely.

• Clean the outside of the appliance with a damp and clean cloth and dry it with a dry cloth afterwards.

• Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemicals, only use mild detergents.

• Never disassemble the appliance for cleaning.
• Never rinse or spray the appliance with water.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
