ENGLISH: SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

The following are important notes on the installation, use and maintenance; save this instruction manual for future reference; use the equipment only as specified in this guide; any other use is considered improper and dangerous; therefore, the manufacturer cannot be held responsible in the event of damages caused by improper, incorrect or unreasonable use.8 Before use, ensure the equipment is undamaged; if in doubt, do not attempt to use it and contact the authorized service center; do not leave packing materials (i.e. plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails, staples, etc.) within the reach of children as they are potential sources of danger; always remember that they must be separately collected. Make sure that the rating information given on the technical label are compatible with those of the electricity grid; the installation must be performed according to the manufacturer's instructions considering the maximum power of the appliance as shown on the label; an incorrect installation may cause damage to people, animals or things, for which the manufacturer cannot be considered responsible thereof. If it is necessary to use adapters, multiple sockets or electrical extensions, use only those that comply with current safety standards; in any case do not exceed the power consumption limits indicated on the electrical adapter and / or extensions, as well as the maximum power shown on multiple adaptor. Do not leave the unit plugged; better to remove the plug from the mains when the device is not in use. Always disconnect from power supply if you leave it unattended. Cleaning operations should be carried out after unplugging the unit. If the unit is out of order and you do not want to fix it, it must be made inoperable by cutting power cord. - Do not allow the power cord to get closer to sharp objects or in contact with hot surfaces; do not pull it to disconnect the plug. - Do not use the appliance in the event of damage to the power cord, plug, or in case of short circuits; to repair the product only address an authorized service center. - Do not handle or touch the appliance with wet hands or bare feet. Do not expose the appliance to harmful9 weather conditions such as rain, moisture, frost, etc.. Always store it in a dry place. - This appliance can be used by children of 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they received supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand hazards involved; children shall not play with the appliance; cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. - Children must not play with appliance. Keep appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years. If the power cord is damaged, or in case of failure and / or malfunction do not tamper with the unit. The reparation must be done by manufacturer or by service center authorized by the manufacturer in order to prevent any risk. Failure to comply with the above may compromise the unit safety and invalidate the warranty. - This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; farm houses, bed and breakfast type environments. - The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system. - Before every use, unroll the power cord. - Use original spare parts and accessories only. - Do not subject the product to strong impacts, serious damages may result. Don’t use near or under flammable materials (like curtains), heat, cold spots and steam. GENERAL INFORMATION CAUTION: Do not vacuum sharp or pointed objects, flammable or harmful, acids, combustible materials such as cigarettes, burning embers, matches and ash.10 If you need to change a filter, make sure that the re- assembly is properly made; ensure the new filters are not wet or damp. In this case, wait for it to dry completely. The unit is suitable for suction of small amounts of liquid or wet surfaces, if there is liquid in the dust container, do not overturn the product to prevent water leakage. CAUTION: while the unit is operating, do not approach the air inlet to ears, eyes, or to fragile items such as vases, tools, electronic equipment etc... Never leave the appliance unattended while it is running. Always use the operation button to turn on or turn off the vacuum cleaner. Do not obstruct the ventilation slots on the product. In case of overheating, or if the unit produces smoke, smell or unusual noises, turn it off immediately and check that the pipe is free from obstacles. If the tube is free, contact the service center for checking the appliance. Do not immerse the motor unit in water or other liquids: clean the appliance with a damp cloth. To change attachments or perform cleaning and maintenance operations, switch off the unit. Regularly clean unit for better performance and durability If the adapter is broken or got lost, contact an authorized service center for replacing it. CAUTION: Pay attention to the specifications of the adaptor if you have to change it. An incorrect voltage may damage appliance and shorten the functionality. DESCRIPTION AP10

Depending on the type of suction, insert the accessory in the suction port (5), pushing it until it is secure. Turn the power switch (1) to "1" and start vacuuming. At the end of the operation, bring the power button (1) to "0" and put the vacuum cleaner and the adapter out of the reach of children.

WARNING: in the case of vacuuming on wet surfaces, always empty the dust container (6) at the end of the11

operation. Periodically check the condition of the filter, taking care to clean it or replace it if damaged. These measures will preserve the life of the unit and improve the vacuum performance.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

EMPTYING THE DUST CONTAINER. When the dust reaches the maximum level inside the container (6), it is necessary to remove it. For emptying the container, follow the steps below: - Press the release button to open the dust container (8) separating the container from the main body. - Remove the filter (7) by pulling it toward you. Empty container (6) into trash and rinse it with tap water. - Dry the container before installing it on the unit. CAUTION: if operating on wet surfaces, always empty the container (6) at the end of the operation. FILTER MAINTENANCE. It is recommended to periodically check the condition of the filter and if it is dirty it should be cleaned as described in the following paragraph: - Press the release button to open the dust container (8) and separate the container from the unit. - Remove the filter (7) by pulling it toward you. - To remove dust from the filter, use a vacuum cleaner or wash it with tap water, being careful not to break the filter; it is recommended to always dry it completely before replacing it inside the container. CAUTION: when the filter (7) runs out, contact an Authorized Service Center for replacing it. CHARGING - CAUTION: to recharge the unit, use only the supplied original adapter. If the power adapter is damaged or get lost, contact an authorized service center; it is recommended not to use other adapters which may damage the battery and impair the functionality of the appliance. If suction capacity decreases, you should start charging the battery. or charging, switch off the product by bringing the power button (2) to position "0", plug the adapter to the power outlet and connect the pins to the socket on the bottom of the unit (4). The LED charging indicator (2) lights up when the unit is properly connected to the adapter. It stays on until the adapter is connected to the appliance, even when the battery is fully charged. The following measures will preserve the battery life. When you first use the unit, fully charge the battery by leaving the vacuum cleaner adapter connected for about 10 hours. Before recharge the unit, wait for the battery is completely exhausted. When the unit was has not being used for a long time (approx. 2 months), it is recommended to let it charge for about 10 hours before using it again. In any case, it is advisable to fully deplete the battery before a recharge. When charging operation is finished, unplug the power adapter and keep it in a dry place, taking care not to damage the power cord. If the appliance, even after a complete recharge, works only if it is connected to the adapter, the battery could be no longer capable of delivering power to the unit.
