Let's get ready to roll the garlic bulbs!
The deserted villa is awaiting the great vampire feast which is held there every 99 years. But, what's this? The age-old vampires are still "snoozing" peacefully in their coffins. You slip into the role of the vampire kids and try, with the help of three vampire bats, to steer the garlic bulbs into the right graves of the vampire villa and wake up the old vampires. But where exactly are the well-off vampires hiding who will bring you a lot of vampire points? Who can collect the most vampire points with skill and a bit of luck and end up as the winner of the game?

First, press all the parts of the Vampire Villa and the rest of the game materials carefully out of the cardboard as well as the pre-punched holes from the floors, towers and roof. Then, fit the three floors into the right places in the villa. Finally, snap together Countess Fang and Count Garlic.

You can leave the three floors in the villa permanently after the game. This will make it easier to set up for the next round!
Before every game
A Insert the three villa towers into place in the slits in the villa. The coloured symbols on the three towers tell you which tower belongs where. These are assigned respectively to the floors in the villa.

B Then fit the roof onto the three towers.
c Finally, insert the three vampire bats into the holes in the roof.
D Place the hourglass in the middle of the Vampire Villa.
E Place Countess Fang and Count Garlic next to the villa and get the dice ready.
F Sort the gravestones according to their three different shapes and rear sides. Take all gravestones of one type respectively and place them face down on the table. Shuffle the gravestones to form a hidden supply.
Keep the three gravestone supplies separately from each other next to the villa.
Now place the right gravestones face-up in each of the nine graves in the Vampire Villa (graves 1-4: rectangular gravestones, 5-8: hexagonal gravestones, 9: round gravestone).
After you have filled up all of the graves with gravestones, you can take a few seconds to remember the individual symbols. Then turn over all nine gravestones and place them face-down in the respective graves.

Whenever you place new gravestones in the villa in the course of the game, show them to your fellow players first. Try to remember as much as you can about the gravestones!
G Now place the three garlic bulbs in their starting places. Then, all choose the degree of difficulty for the game:
Young vampires
For your first trips to the Villa of the Vampires, it is best to choose the game for young vampires. To start, place the three garlic bulbs in the three different starting places.
Advanced vampires
For those of you who are looking for a bigger challenge, the game for advanced vampires is just the right thing. Now you place all three garlic bulbs in the marked starting place on the stone floor.

Aim of the game There is great turmoil in the Villa of the Vampires: Bulbs of garlic are being pushed into the graves of the dozing vampires to wake them up in time for the great vampire feast. Because, what do vampires detest most? It's garlic of course! And did you already know: the vampires snoozing in the rectangular graves are mostly those who do not bring you many vampire points. It's in the rear part of the villa, in the expensive luxury coffins, where the well-off vampires are dozing! The player who has collected the most vampire points at the end wins this fangtastic game. Before the very first game Before starting your first action-packed game, everyone should first try out the vampire bats. Take turns to try to push a garlic bulb through the whole villa with the help of the vampire bats: To do this, the active player grabs the vampire bats, from above the roof only, and swings them to push a garlic bulb in the right direction. Of course, you can use all three vampire bats to help but you may not reach into the villa with your hand and touch a garlic bulb or the vampire bats there. Once you have successfully mastered this task, you choose a specific grave and kick a garlic bulb into it. Super – now you can get on with the game! A vampire tip for young, small vampires: it's best to play on a low table – or perhaps even on the floor!Aim of the game

GB
Rules of the game
You take turns in clockwise direction. The youngest player starts and adopts the role of the first Vampire Kid.
The player to the right of the first Vampire Kid gets Countess Fang at the beginning of the game and places her in front of them.

The Vampire Kid
Your turn consists of knocking as many garlic bulbs as possible into the right graves with the help of the vampire bats. But watch out: Your time is limited! Your turn ends as soon as the last grain of sand has run out of the hourglass.
Off you go!
Take the hourglass, turn it over and put it quickly back in the middle of the Vampire Villa. Then roll the dice to determine your first action which you can perform
immediately in the villa. The clock has started! Hurry up so that you can roll as many garlic bulbs as possible into the graves!

To make sure that all of the players know what's going on, call out what action you have thrown with the dice!
The dice actions

Cat
Push a garlic bulb into a grave that is marked by a cat symbol. (= graves 2, 4, 5 or 8).

Spider
Roll a garlic bulb into a grave that is marked by a spider symbol. (= graves 1, 3, 6 or 7).

Toad
Push a garlic bulb into the higher grave at the end of the villa (= grave 9)!
Attention: Only one garlic bulb may be pushed into this grave in one round. If you have already rolled one bulb in there successfully and you throw another "toad", then throw again immediately.

Crown
Countess Fang is the only "grown-up" vampire who has been awake for some time and helps you with the preparations for the feast.
If you have thrown the crown, you can choose an action:
Push a garlic bulb into any grave (= Joker) ...
o r
... roll a garlic bulb onto the Countess Fang's heart-shaped carpet.
If the garlic comes to rest on the carpet, your fellow players immediately give you Countess Fang and put her down in front of you.
Important: You can use a garlic bulb that you have rolled successfully onto Countess Fang's carpet again later (after a new throw of the dice) and then roll it from there into a suitable grave!

If Countess Fang is already standing in front of you, you obviously choose the Joker option and roll a garlic bulb into any grave!
After throwing the dice, you start rolling the first bulb immediately. Depending on what action the dice shows, you try to push the first garlic bulb into the right grave (or onto Countess Fang's carpet) with the help of the three vampire bats. Of course, you can choose any garlic bulb regardless of which starting place it is on.
When you have landed the first garlic bulb, you immediately throw the dice again to determine your next action. Call out loud what action the dice shows and perform it as quickly as possible in the villa.

You can roll garlic bulbs until ...
... the hourglass runs out and your fellow players cry "Vampire stop!"
o r
... you have successfully pushed all three garlic bulbs into the right graves.
Example for a game move:
Maurice throws a "cat" as his first action and rolls a garlic bulb into grave 5. Then he throws a "crown" and rolls a garlic bulb onto the heart-shaped carpet. As a reward, his opponents place Countess Fang in front of Maurice. The next action shown on the dice is a "toad". This is super for Maurice because now he can

Then he throws a "cat" again and rolls the third and last garlic bulb quickly into grave 2 before the last grain of sand runs through the hourglass.
Waking up the vampires
Now you can wake up the dozing vampires! Pick up all of the face-down gravestones onto which you have successfully rolled a garlic bulb out of the villa. Place the gravestones face-up on the table.
Gravestones without a crown symbol:
You can take these vampires and garlic bulbs immediately and put them face-down in front of you.

natural_image
Four colorful cartoon character icons with stylized faces and accessories (no text or symbols)Gravestones with a crown symbol:
The extremely important Countess Fang interferes for these special vampires and garlic bulbs!

These gravestones always go to the player in front of whom Countess Fang is currently standing. This player can take he gravestones and put them face-down in front of them.
Preparing for the next round
The three garlic bulbs are put back in their respective starting places.
The player whose turn it was last, fills up all empty graves with new gravestones from the supply. Every new gravestone is first shown to all the other players and called out loud. Only then is it placed face-down in the grave.
Then it is the next player's turn.
What happens when ...
... a garlic bulb rolls "unluckily" out of the Vampire Villa?
This garlic bulb is out of the game for this round. In this case it's bad luck!
... a garlic bulb rolls into the wrong grave (e.g., in a cat grave when you have thrown a "spider")?
You have to get this bulb out of the grave immediately with the vampire bats. This costs you valuable time, unfortunately, but when it's wrong, it's wrong!
... a garlic bulb that you have successfully rolled into a grave, is rolled out of the grave again in the course of the game (e.g., by another bulb or a vampire bat)?
In this case, the grave counts as reached and you can take out the gravestone at the end of your turn.
... six or more gravestones with crown symbols are lying in the graves in the preparations for the game?
Take all the gravestones out of the villa, shuffle them with all of the others and deal out new gravestones into the graves. But don't worry, this only happens about every 99 years!
End of the game
The game is over immediately when, in the “preparations for the next round”, the graves can no longer all be filled up with gravestones. Now everyone turns over all the gravestones that they have collected.
The Count Garlic valuation: First, you determine who has won the Count Garlic valuation. To do this, count the collected garlic bulbs on your gravestones.
The player who has collected the most garlic bulbs gets Count Garlic as a reward (= 4 points).

If there is a draw, several players get the Count Garlic points, of course.
Now, everyone counts their collected vampire points.
Younger children who have not yet learned to count that far can get the older children to help. The player who has collected the most vampire point wins the game. There can be several winners if there is a draw.
