Frequently Asked Questions - EM 6002 sw Exquisit

How to start making ice?
Make sure the drain plug is closed, plug in the appliance, open the lid, fill with water up to the MAX mark, close the lid, then press the ON/OFF button. Ice making starts automatically.
What to do when the 'ADD WATER' indicator lights up?
The water tank is empty or the filter is clogged. Press ON/OFF, fill with fresh water up to the MAX mark, wait 3 minutes and press ON/OFF again. If the problem persists, clean the appliance or contact after-sales service.
How to select ice cube size?
Press the SELECT button to choose between 'S' (small cubes) and 'L' (large cubes). The corresponding indicator lights up. For ambient temperatures below 15°C, prefer small cubes.
Why does the 'ICE FULL' indicator light up?
The ice basket is full. Empty it with the provided scoop. The machine restarts automatically after 7.5 seconds. If the problem persists, clean the infrared diodes.
How to clean the ice maker?
Unplug the appliance. Clean the exterior with a soft damp cloth. Rinse the basket and scoop with soapy water. For internal cleaning, place the appliance on an overhang, drain residual water, fill with fresh water, then select the CLEAN function with the SELECT button. The cycle lasts 4 minutes.
No ice is made even though conditions are good. What to do?
Check that the ambient temperature does not exceed 32°C and that the water is between 8°C and 28°C. If the problem persists, the refrigerant may leak or the circuit may be blocked. Contact after-sales service.
The ice cubes are too large and stick together. Why?
This may be due to water or ambient temperature being too low. Stop the machine, empty the tank, fill with fresh water between 8°C and 25°C, then restart.
Can I use hot water?
No, this could damage the appliance. Use only lukewarm or cold drinking water between 7°C and 35°C.
What are the safety precautions regarding the R600a refrigerant?
R600a is flammable. In case of leakage, avoid open flames, ventilate the room (min. volume 1 m³ per 8 g of refrigerant) and contact after-sales service. Do not damage the refrigeration circuit.
How to store the appliance when not in use?
Empty the water tank via the drain plug, dry the interior and exterior. Let the machine cool to room temperature, then store it in a dry place.
