How to use the MPM MCZ112 kettle?

Remove the kettle from the base, open the lid using the button, fill with water between the MIN (0.5 L) and MAX (1.7 L) levels, close the lid, place the kettle on the base and press the switch to turn it on. It shuts off automatically when boiling.

Can I open the lid while boiling?

No, do not remove/open the lid while the water is boiling. The lid must remain closed to avoid splashing boiling water.

What to do if the kettle does not turn on?

Check that the kettle is correctly placed on its base and that the lid is closed properly. If it has run dry, the overheat protection system has been activated: let it cool for 15 minutes before filling with water and reusing.

How to clean and descale the kettle?

Clean regularly to remove limescale. Use a specific descaler or a mixture of water with vinegar or citric acid. Wipe the inside and outside with a cloth. Do not use a metal brush or abrasive products.

What is the maximum capacity of the kettle?

The maximum capacity is 1.7 liters. Do not fill above the MAX level to avoid splashing boiling water. The minimum level is 0.5 liters.

• Read the instructions carefully before use.
• Take special care when children are near the device.
• Do not use the device for purposes other than those for which it was intended.
  -Do not immerse the device, cable or charger in water or other liquids.
• Do not leave the device unattended during operation.

- Always remove the plug from the mains socket when not in use or before cleaning.

-Never use a damaged device, including one with a damaged cord or plug, in which case have it repaired at an authorised service centre.

- Do not use the device outdoors.

-Do not hang the power cable on sharp edges or allow it to come into contact with hot surfaces.

-Never fill the kettle above the maximum or minimum level as overfilling it may result with splashing boiling water.

- Make sure the kettle is turned off before placing on its base.

- Caution! Burns risk. The kettle housing heats up during operation and maintains a high temperature even after the device is turned off. Do not touch the casing if hot water is present in the kettle.

-Warning! Do not remove/open the kettle lid while water is boiling inside. The lid must remain closed when boiling / pouring out water.

• The kettle can be used only with the base attached to it.
• Do not place the kettle near a heat source or hot surfaces.
• The kettle should only be used with the attached filter.
• The kettle was produced solely for water boiling.

PREPARATION FOR USE

In order to remove factory deposits, protective films, etc. that may be present on a brand new device, fill the kettle with water to the maximum level, boil the water and then rinse the device. This operation should be repeated at least 5 times, by proceeding as described below.

USING THE KETTLE

1. Remove the kettle from the power base (6) before filling with water.
2. Press the lid opening button (3) to open the lid and fill the kettle up to the desired level (no less than 0.5 l and no more than 1.7 l). Close the lid carefully (2).
3. Put the kettle on the power base (6). Turn on the kettle with the On/Off switch (5). When the water starts boiling, the kettle will turn off itself. You can always turn it off sooner with the On/Off switch.
4. Once the water has boiled or the kettle has been turned off with the On/Off switch, wait for 15 to 20 seconds before turning on the kettle again. If the kettle is turned on without any water in it, the overtemperature safety will turn off the kettle. If this happens, put the kettle away to cool down for 15 minutes before filling with water.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Clean the kettle frequently of limescale. Use limescale removing chemicals dedicated to electric kettles (and use the instructions for use of the chemical) or a mixture of water with vinegar or citric acid. Failure to descale the kettle may result in its failure. Wipe the kettle clean inside and out with a cloth. Do not clean with a wire brush, scouring pads or strong detergents.
