Incorrect operation will damage the product. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard. During installation: do not place on surfaces or near walls, partitions or kitchen furniture and the like – unless they are made of non-combustible material or clad with non-combustible heat-insulating material, and pay attention to fire prevention regulations. Keep all packaging away from children. Dispose of the packaging in accordance to the regulations of local authorities Introduction Before operating your Salamander, you should read through the manual. Keep the manual in a safe place for future reference. Buffalo will not accept liability for product failures in the event that: *The instructions in this manual have not been followed correctly. *Un-qualified or un-authorized personnel have adjusted the Salamander. *Non-original spare parts are used. *The Salamander has not been handled and cleaned correctly. *The Salamander has been used for a purpose for which it was not intended.(UK) Packaging Buffalo prides itself on quality and service, ensuring that at the time of packing all products is supplied fully functional and free of damage. Installation Be sure that the Salamander is free of all protective plastics and residues before operation.

The Salamander must be installed by a qualified person. Locate the Salamander on a firm level surface. Important Notice: Please remove the 2 tranist fixing bolts from on the rear panel of the unit before operation.

The Salamander Grill should be located in a well ventilated area. Do not move the Grill when in use. Do not locate the Salamander Grill in areas that are wet, dusty, steamy or close to inflammable or explosive articles. Do not heat or warm any food if the salamander is not installed with oil tray or grilling rack. Do not put any objects on the top of the Salamander Grill. Do not use excessive force when moving the Grill Hood. Note: the Salamander Grill can be wall mounted. Please refer to the instructions on the wall mounting option and details of the wall bracket.(UK) Power connection The equipment must be grounded. The Salamander Grill is supplied with a 3 pin, BS1363 plug and lead, with a 13 amp fuse as standard. The equipment must be connected to a suitable mains socket, wired as follows: Live wire - coloured brown with terminal marked L Neutral wire - coloured blue with terminal marked N Earth wire - coloured yellow-green with terminal marked E or Operation Plug in and turn the control dial clockwise. The green indicator light indicates power to the salamander. The Salamander has 2 heat zones which are individually controlled. Turn the control dials clockwise to the desired temperature. The red indicator light will indicate the elements are heating and will switch off when the temperature is met. The green indicator light will remain on as long as power is connected and the unit is on. The red indicator light will cycle on and off heating according to the set temperature. As temperature drops the energy regulator will control and adjust to maintain the set temperature. For continuous heat, the control dial can be turned to the MAX setting. The heating element will remain on full power unless set to a lower setting. This will provide continuous full heat as opposed to a set temperature. The Grill Hood is counter balanced and allows you to adjust the cooking height Pull the handle up or down, adjusting the distance between food surface and heating source. Raise the Grill Hood to the top position to take out the grilled food. Turn control knob counterclockwise to OFF position after finishing operation

Cleaning, Care and Maintenance Switch off and disconnect the Salamander from the power supply before cleaning, maintaining or moving. Allow the Salamander to cool down before cleaning. Please use soft and wet cloth and non corrosive cleaning agent to clean the equipment. Do not use water jet/hose to clean the product. The racks and oil tray are removable for cleaning(UK) Instruction for Mounting Bracket (Supplied Separately) Ensure the substrate and fixings used are suitable to support the weight of the loaded brackets. Assemble the bracket as figure show. If necessary seek professional help to ensure the brackets are safely mounted.

Trouble Shooting If the product stops working, please check: the Salamander is connected to power supply. the energy regulators are switch on. Whether the setting of energy regulator is correct. Please find the trouble shooting table as below: Fault Probable Cause Remedial Action The green indicating light is off The unit is not connected to power supply. Check power supply or change fuse. Indicating light has failed. Call BUFFALO agent or qualified technician Red indicating light is off, when element is working Red indicating light is failed.

Call BUFFALO agent or qualified technician Loose connecting cable. Red indicating light is on but the element fails to work. Element wire is broken.

Call BUFFALO agent or qualified technician Energy regulator is broken. Connecting cable is broken off. Grill Hood can’t be lifted up or down/has abnormal sound. Unknown object stuck between the Grill Hood and main body. Call BUFFALO agent or qualified technician Lifting device fails to work.
