If the power cord of this device is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its after-sales or customer service to avoid hazards. Danger from electricity The device, power cord and plug must never be immersed in water or other liquids. Position the device so that there is no risk of liquids spilling onto or coming into contact with the device's power connector. Do not operate the device with wet hands. Do not operate the device outdoors. Connect the device to a correctly installed socket that has a voltage corresponding to that described under “Technical Data”. Ensure that the mains outlet is readily accessible so that you can quickly unplug the power cord, if necessary. Do not touch moving parts of the device and do not attempt to stop them by hand or using other objects. Do not touch the knives with bare hands. Before replacing any accessories or attachments that move when the device is in operation, switch off the device and disconnect it from the mains power. Do not use the device if the blades are damaged. When operating the device, only use the original accessories provided. Do not try to use the device to chop hard ingredients or stones, and always remove stems or stalks from ingredients before chopping them. If using the device to chop meat, remove any bones or tendons beforehand. BEWARE of material damage Only use the device in continuous operation for a maximum of 30seconds at a time. If you use the device in pulse mode, i.e. only switching it on in short bursts, itcan be operated for a slightly longer time. Afterwards, let it cool down for approx. 3 minutes (= 1 cycle). After a total of 3 complete cycles (30 seconds continuous mode or slightly longer pulse mode plus 3 minutes break) the device must be allowed to cool down for 15 minutes. Never operate the device without any ingredients inside as the motor could overheat. Never place the device on or near hot surfaces (e.g. hot plates, etc.). Avoid contact of the power cord with hot objects. Never expose the device to high temperatures (heating, etc.) or adverse weather conditions (rain, etc.). Place the device on a robust, smooth and easy-to-clean worktop. When processing foods, occasional splashes are unavoidable. Use only original accessories. Intended use The Electric Mini Chopper (or simply chopper) is only suitable for chopping food, such as fruit, vegetables, herbs or similar. It is only to be used for processing food. 2Unpacking and checking

1. Take the device out of its packaging and carefully remove all the packing material.

2. Check that the delivery is complete.

3. Check that the device and its individual parts show no visible damage. If this is the

case, do not use the grinder. In this case, contact the dealer where you bought the device.

4. Carefully remove the protective

covers from the blades.

described in chapter “Cleaning”. Preparing foods If the device is used for processing very hard foods, the blades will wear out more quickly. − Cut your ingredients into small 1 to 2 cm pieces before putting them into the container. − If using meat, remove all bones, tendons and skin. 6. Take the ingredients out of the glass container.

Processing Tips To ensure that ingredients are chopped evenly, switch the device off after each burst of chopping. Then use a rubber scraper to push the ingredients back into the middle of the bowl. You can then switch the device back on again. You can also use the device in pulse mode by pressing the I or II button briefly. When the blades stop turning, some of the food will fall back underneath them. This helps to ensure even processing. In many cases, the chopper will get the job done in seconds. Avoid mixing for too long in order to preserve the structure of the food. The processed food should either be consumed immediately, or used further as required. The container is not intended to be used for permanent storage. Overheat protection The device has a built-in overheating protection. If the overheat protection triggers, the device will switch off immediately during use. In this case:

1. Release the power level button (I or II) and take the plug out of the power socket.

2. Let the device cool down for at least 30 minutes.

NOTE on material damage − Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, brushes with metal or nylon bristles, or sharp or metallic cleaning objects such as knives, hard spatulas and the like. They can damage the surfaces. − Never put the motor in a dishwasher. This would destroy the motor. The device must be cleaned after every use. Whenever possible, clean the device immediately after use to prevent the ingredients from drying out.

5. Rinse all these parts with clean water.

6. Dry the individual parts thoroughly with a tea towel.
