• 2.4 GHz wireless technology with secure 128-bit AES encryption 1 Connecting keyboard 1 Connect the receiver to the USB port of the PC/laptop. 2 On the back of the keyboard, set the on/off switch to ON. The keyboard is ready to use without installing any software. The rechargeable batteries are pre-charged and do not need to be charged before use. 2KeyM@n software You can configure the F-keys and Hotkeys (except "blocking the PC") using KeyM@n soft- ware (as a free download at: www.cherry.de > Help & Support > Downloads > CHERRY B.UNLIMITED BOARD). Try it and see! 3 Charging the batteries Charge the keyboard batteries when the battery status LED flashes red. Charging the batteries in good time prolongs its service life. 1 Switch the keyboard on (switch to ON). 2 Connect the charging cable to the socket on the keyboard and a USB port or USB mains adapter. Your power source (PC, laptop, network adpater) must be connected. You can continue to work while it is charging. The LED lights up red. CAUTION: Damage to the batteries or the keyboard

• Only charge the batteries in the keyboard. Do not use an external charger.

• Only charge nickel-metal hydride batteries in the keyboard. It takes approx. 5 hours to fully charge the batteries. When the battery status LED goes out then the batteries are fully charged. The charging circuit prevents overcharging. 4Tips

4.1 Cleaning the keyboard

1 Switch off the PC. 2 Clean the keyboard with a slightly damp cloth and some mild cleaning agent (e.g. dish washing liquid). 3 Dry off the keyboard with a soft, lint-free cloth. CAUTION: Damage may be caused by harsh cleaning agents or liquids in the keyboard

• Do not use solvents such as gasoline or alcohol and scouring agents or scouring sponges for cleaning.

• Prevent liquids from entering the keyboard.

1See: 3 "Charging the batteries". 2 Connect the receiver to another USB port on the PC. 3 Establish a new connection to the receiver: Press the esc and Q keys on the keyboard at the same time. Release the keys when the battery status LED on the keyboard flashes after approx. 3 seconds. RSI stands for "Repetitive Strain Injury". RSI arises due to small movements continuously repeated over a long period of time. Typical symptoms are discomfort in the fingers or neck.

• Set up your workspace ergonomically.

• Position the keyboard and mouse in such a manner that your upper arms and wrists are outstretched and to the sides of your body.

• Take several short breaks, with stretching exercises if necessary.

• Change your posture often. 5 Disposal

5.1 Disposing of the device

Dispose of the used device at an official collection point for electronic waste or at your local dealer

5.2 Disposing of the batteries

The device contains nickel-metal hydride batteries with low self- discharge. Do not dispose of them in the household waste. Batteries may contain pollutants which can harm the environment and health. Dispose of the batteries with the device in a retail outlet or at your local recycling depot. Returning the device is compulsory and free of charge. Secure the discharged battery from short- circuiting (such as by attaching tape on the poles) and put them in the containers provided. All batteries are recycled. This enables valuable resources to be restored such as iron, zinc or nickel. Recycling batteries is the easiest contribution you can make towards environmental protection.
