Frequently Asked Questions - OFZ 34211 A2 OK

How to adjust the freezer temperature?
Use the thermostat located inside. The MIN, MID and MAX levels correspond to more or less low temperatures. The closer the setting is to MIN, the higher the interior temperature. A typical freezer temperature is -18 °C.
How long should I wait before plugging in the freezer after installation?
Wait 6 hours after placing the freezer upright on its feet before plugging it in to allow the cooling system to stabilize.
How to defrost the freezer?
Defrost when the frost layer reaches 3 to 4 mm. Remove food, unplug the appliance and open the door. Once the frost has melted, wipe away the water and clean the interior. Do not use sharp objects or mechanical devices.
Can I reverse the door opening direction?
Yes, the door is reversible. Follow the instructions in the manual: remove the covers, unscrew the hinges, reverse the feet and pins, then reassemble the door on the other side. Basic tools are needed (8 mm wrench, screwdriver).
What to do if the freezer is not cooling enough?
Check that the door is properly closed and not blocked by food. Make sure the ambient temperature is between 10 °C and 43 °C. If the problem persists, contact customer service.
What foods can I store in the two-star compartment?
The two-star compartment (21 L) is suitable for storing pre-frozen foods, preparing ice cream and making ice cubes. It is not suitable for freezing fresh foods.
How to clean the interior of the freezer?
Unplug the appliance and let it cool down. Clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not use solvents, metal objects or steam cleaners. Dry thoroughly before plugging back in.
What is the power consumption of this freezer?
The consumption is 0.47 kWh per 24 hours, i.e. approximately 172 kWh per year. The energy class is A++, making it very economical.
Can I store hot drinks in the freezer?
No, never put lukewarm or hot food in the freezer, as this raises the internal temperature and may thaw other food. Wait until they have cooled to room temperature.
How to save energy with my freezer?
Place the appliance away from heat sources, ensure free air circulation, defrost regularly, open the door briefly, and only put cold food in. Use the drawers for efficient storage.

Fig. 5 Turn the temperature regulator to the desired setting.

Fig. 6 Allow the product to pre-cool for about 6 hours before putting in the food.

TEMPERATURE REGULATOR

The level MIN - MID - MAX does not mean a specific temperature. The lower the setting is (as closer to MIN), the higher the interior temperature.

Note:

• The most common temperature for the freezer should be -18^ or lower.
- To determine the temperature of the product, obtain a suitable thermometer, and place it inside the product.
• The temperature of the product depends on the setting of the temperature regulator.
- Please make sure the door is closed properly and is not obstructed by foods.
- Never store warm or hot foodstuffs in the freezer, as this will impair the cooling performance of the appliance and will also defrost other foodstuffs.

ENERGY SAVING TIPS

  • Do not place the product in the vicinity of a heat source (radiator or kitchen stove, etc.).
  • Ensure unobstructed air flow around the refrigerator and freezer.
  • If a layer of ice has built, defrost the unit. A thick layer of ice affects the transmission of the cold, thus the energy consumption will be increased.
  • When opening and taking out food, only open the door shortly. A shorter door opening time reduces the amount of ice forming on the freezer walls.
  • Select the temperature regulator setting according to the filling amount of the product.
  • Use the glass plate, the side tray and if necessary baskets to store the food. If the energy of the product is used efficiently, the energy consumption can be minimized.
  • Only place cold or cooled down foodstuffs in the freezer. Never insert hot items.

CLEANING AND CARE

OK OFZ 34211 A2 - CLEANING AND CARE - 1

- Do not use steam cleaning equipment for cleaning. The steam may come in contact with electrical parts of the product, causing a short circuit.
- Clean the product's exterior surfaces with a slightly damp cloth and then dry them thoroughly.
• Make sure that no water enters the product interior (for example, through the switch).
- Wipe the door seal with clean water only, and dry it thoroughly afterwards.
