SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS - It is important to follow these safety instructions to avoid personal injury and damage to the device. Also read the instructions for use before using the device. Keep the instructions for future reference. - Do not use the device if it is damaged. - Only connect the unit to a wall socket that complies with the specications. Check that the mains voltage where you are using the device corresponds to the voltage specied on the type plate. - Use and store the device in a dry location. - This device is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical strength (including children) or those with sensory or mental disabilities, or by those without the necessary knowledge and experience. In such cases they must be guided or instructed in the use of the device by a person who is responsible for their safety. Children must be supervised so that they do not play with the device. - Never remove any parts from the device. Do not stick objects into the openings in the device. This can result in electric shock! Repairs that are not described in these instructions for use should only be carried out at an authorised service centre! - Never immerse the device into water or any other liquid. This device withstand rain and snow, but should never be immersed into water. - Do not expose to prolonged direct sunlight. - The unit must only be used for its intended purpose, and only for private use. GUARANTEE: The product guarantee is valid for two years and covers manufacturing defects. The guarantee does not cover cases where the equipment has been exposed to excess voltage from the power supply. How does Cat & Animal Free 300

work? Cat & Animal Free 300

uses a high-tech high frequency sound pattern to efciently scare cats, dogs and small animals from the garden and is controlled by a motion sensor. Any movement within the guarded area will trigger the repeller to emit high frequency sound embarrassing to cats, dogs and small animals. The repelling method makes the animals change their movement pattern so that they will seek for other areas to stay in. The high frequency sound is completely harmless for all animals and humans. reach? The motion sensor detects all movements up to 15 metres in front of the repeller and automatically activates the repelling. How should Cat & Animal Free 300

be placed? Place it at the same level as the animals’ height, appr. 20-50 cm above the ground, as free as possible directed at the area where the animals stay. Cat & Animal Free 300

be mounted? Anchor the repeller with the included pole. You can also hang the repeller on a wall or a fence using the top suspension. How are the batteries inserted? Unscrew the lid at the bottom of the repeller and insert 6 LR14 batteries (not included). How often should the batteries be checked? Normally the batteries would last for at least 4 months. can also be connected to a transformer (not included) specied 12V/DC 500 mA. How can you tell that Cat & Animal Free 300

is working? When the selection knob is in desired position the red LED indicator lights up. This means that the repeller is activated and the motion sensor on. When the motion sensor detects movements and a sound is sent out, the white repelling lamp is also activated. The sound is on for appr. 10 seconds. The motion sensor is then reset after 5 seconds more. When can I expect a result? The animals respond immediately. However a change in their behaviour can take appr. 2 weeks more. Under certain circumstances it could take more than 2 weeks. During this period it is wise to move Cat & Animal Free 300

in order to increase the moments of surprise. What is the function of the white repelling lamp? Cat & Animal Free 300

is equipped with a stroboscopic LED light to increase the repelling at nightfall. If the ashing light irritates people, it can be shut off using the switch located at the bottom of the repeller. Is Cat & Animal Free 300

harmful to animals? The high frequency repelling sound is completely harmless to animals. Does the sound from Cat & Animal Free 300

bother the human ear? When the selection knob is in one of the positions for small animals, a high frequency sound is emitted which can be audible to humans. Some people are extra sensible to high frequency sound, and if this is experienced as irritating the selection knob should be set in another position. affect other animals? Some inuence can occur to other animals. Please carefully read the following instructions to get the most out of Silverline

• Never direct the unit against neighbour gardens or public areas. The repeller is for private use only, and to keep wild animals and small animals away from the garden.

• When the selection knob is in position small animals the sound might be perceived by humans. If this is experienced as irritating, change the position of the selection knob or move the repeller to another place.

• Some inuence can occur to other animals. If there are pets in the garden it is recommended to try how they react before the repeller is set for operation.

• This device withstand rain and snow, but should not be immersed into water.

• Avoid exposing the motion sensor to direct sunlight, since this could shorten the lifetime.Pest Control gardenSystem

Art.nr 25151 Manufacturer: Miljöcenter AB, Sweden Location Place the repeller 20-50 cm above the ground. Use the included pole or mount the repeller on a fence or wall. The motion sensor and sound work best horizontally levelled. Therefore the repeller should be placed at the same height as the actual animal to be repelled. Do not direct the repeller against the ground. Place the repeller so it will cover the area that should be guarded. Be sure to keep the area free from obstacles since the sound does not penetrate solid materials. Select appropriate frequency using the selection knob. If no immediate effect is noticed, a rst recommendation is to change frequency and secondly to move the repeller. To increase the effect when repelling cats it is recommended to move the unit each week in the beginning. Direct against the same area but from different places. The cats will change their behaviour after some weeks and the intervals between moving the repeller can be extended. Large gardens might need more than one repeller to cover the areas. Cover area for the motion sensor This assignment is a reference. Weather conditions and obstacles may affect the guarded area. Avoid exposing the motion sensor to direct sunlight, since this could shorten the lifetime. Frequency selector Turn the knob to set the desired frequency.

2. Insert 6 LR14 batteries (not included), with correct polarity according to the guidance in the battery casing.

3. Mount the protection lid back on.

4. Turn the frequency selection knob to any position and test the function. The red LED indicator should now

light up. When the motion sensor detects a movement the white repelling light and the repelling sound should be activated. Transformer (not included) 12V DC 500 mA 6 VA contact device type V:

1. Connect the transformer contact to the DC/12V connection.

2. Plug the transformer into a 230V wall socket.

3. Turn the frequency selection knob to any position and test the function. The red LED indicator should now
