How to adjust the screen height?

Place your hands on each side of the monitor and raise or lower the screen to the desired height. Be careful when handling the screen.

How to rotate the screen to portrait mode?

First, raise the screen to its maximum height to avoid impact. Then, place your hands on each side and turn the screen clockwise (landscape to portrait) or counterclockwise (portrait to landscape).

What to do if the screen displays 'No Signal'?

Check that the video cable is properly connected to the computer and monitor. Make sure the computer is on and that the selected input source (DVI or D-Sub) matches the cable used. The message disappears by pressing the SELECT button.

How to reset to factory settings?

In the OSD menu, go to the TOOL option then select FACTORY PRESET. Hold down the RESET button for several seconds to restore factory settings.

How to lock or unlock the OSD controls?

To lock, simultaneously hold down the 1<->2/RESET and + buttons. To unlock, repeat the same combination.

How to clean the screen?

Use a soft, non-abrasive cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals. Avoid touching the screen surface directly.

Which cables are included with the monitor?

The monitor comes with a power cable, a D-Sub video cable (mini D-SUB 15-pin), a DVI-D cable (for the LCD225WNX model), a cable cover, a user manual, and a CD-ROM.

How to mount the monitor on an articulated arm?

Remove the original stand by unscrewing the four screws on the back of the monitor. Use a VESA-compatible arm (100 x 100 mm) and attach it with the provided screws. Respect the maximum weight of 6.3 kg for mounting.

How to connect headphones?

Plug the headphones (not included) into the headphone jack on the back of the monitor. Volume can be adjusted via the OSD menu or using the dedicated button.

What does the 'Resolution Error' message mean?

This message appears when the input resolution is not optimal. To disable it, go to the OSD menu, select TOOL then RESOLUTION ERROR and choose OFF.

To attach the MultiSync LCD monitor to your system, follow these instructions:

1. Turn off the power to your computer.

2. For the PC or MAC with DVI digital output: Connect the DVI-D signal cable (not included for the U.S. and China) to the connector of the display card in your system (Figure A.1). Tighten all screws.

For the PC with Analog output: Connect the 15-pin mini D-SUB signal cable to the connector of the display card in your system (Figure A.2). Tighten all screws.

For the MAC: Connect the MultiSync Macintosh cable adapter (not included) to the computer. Attach the 15-pin mini D-SUB signal cable to the MultiSync Macintosh cable adapter (Figure A.3). Tighten all screws.

NOTE: Some Macintosh systems do not require a Macintosh cable adapter.

1. Place hands on each side of the monitor to tilt the LCD panel 30-degree angle and lift up to the highest position (Figure B.1).
2. Connect all cables to the appropriate connector on the back of the monitor (Figure B.1). Using the USB cable, connect the B type connector to the USB upstream port on the bottom of the monitor and A type connector to the downstream port on the computer (Figure C.1). If you can use the cord from the USB device, use one of the downstream ports on the side or bottom of the monitor. Connect Headphones (not included) to the appropriate connector at the rear side of the monitor, if desired (Figure B.1).

NOTE: If connecting both DVI and D-Sub cables, the DVI cable must be connected along side the rib on the power cord side (Figure C.2).

1. For successful cable management, place the cables in this order into the cable management; power cable and DVI cable.

2. Place DVI cable and power cable into the specific hooks as indicated in Figure C.3.

3. Place the D-Sub and the USB cables (LCD205WNXM/LCD225WNXM only) into the specific hooks indicated in Figure C.4.

4. Make sure all cables are resting flat against the stand (Figure C.4).

5. Hold all the cables firmly and place the cable cover onto the stand (Figure D.1). To remove the cable cover, lift the cover off as shown in Figure D.2.

NOTE: Handle with care when placing the cable cover and avoid pinching your fingers.

1. Connect the power cord to the power outlet (Figure D.3).

NOTE: If you have difficulty removing the cable cover, please push the lower opening upward to remove it, as show in Figure E.1.

NOTE: Please refer to the Caution section of this manual for proper selection of power cord.

1. Turn on the monitor with the front power button and the computer (Figure D.3).

2. No-touch Auto Adjust automatically adjusts the monitor to optimal settings upon initial setup for most timings (Analog input only). For further adjustments, use the following OSD controls:

Raise and Lower Monitor Screen

The monitor may be raised or lowered. To raise or lower screen, place hands on each side of the monitor and lift or lower to the desired height (Figure RL.1).

NOTE: Handle with care when raising or lowering the monitor screen.

Tilt and Swivel

Grasp both sides of the monitor screen with your hands and adjust the tilt and swivel as desired (Figure TS.1).

NOTE: Handle with care when tilting and swivelling the monitor screen.

Screen Rotation

Before rotating, the screen must be raised to the highest level to avoid knocking the screen on the desk or pinching with your fingers. To raise the screen, place hands on each side of the monitor and lift up to the highest position (Figure RL.1).

To rotate screen, place hands on each side of the monitor screen and turn clockwise from Landscape to Portrait or counter-clockwise from Portrait to Landscape (Figure R.1).

Remove Monitor Stand for Mounting

To prepare the monitor for alternate mounting purposes:

1. Place hands on each side of the monitor and lift up to the highest position. Remove the cable cover.

NOTE: If you have difficulty removing the cable cover, please push the lower opening upward to remove it, as shown in the figure beside.

1. Disconnect all cables.

2. Place monitor face down on a non-abrasive surface (Figure R.2).

3. Remove the 4 screws connecting the monitor to the stand and remove the stand (Figure R.3).

The monitor is now ready for mounting in an alternative manner.

1. Connect all cables to the back of the monitor (Figure R.4).

2. Reverse this process to re-attach stand.

NOTE: Use only VESA-compatible alternative mounting method.

NOTE: Handle with care in order to avoid damage or dropping the stand.

Connecting a Flexible Arm

This LCD monitor is designed for use with a flexible arm. Please use the attached screws (4pcs) as shown in the picture when installing. To meet the safety requirements, the monitor must be mounted to an arm which guarantees the necessary stability under consideration of the weight of the monitor. The LCD monitor shall only be used with an approved arm (e.g. GS mark).

OSD control menus are available in nine languages.

OSD TURN OFF

The OSD control menu will stay on as long as it is in use. In the OSD Turn OFF submenu, you can select how long the monitor waits after the last touch of a button to shut off the OSD control menu. The preset choices are 10 - 120 seconds by 5 seconds step.

OSD LOCK OUT

This control completely locks out access to all OSD control functions without Volume, Brightness and Contrast. When attempting to activate OSD controls while in the Lock Out mode, a screen will appear indicating the OSD are locked out. To activate the OSD Lock Out function, press "1<->2/RESET", then "+" key and hold down simultaneously. To deactivate the OSD Lock Out, press "1<->2/RESET", then "+" key and hold down simultaneously.

RESOLUTION NOTIFIER

If ON is selected, a message will appear on the screen after 45 seconds, notifying you that the resolution is not at optimal resolution.

INPUT RESOLUTION (Analog Input Only)

Sets of the resolution of input signal to one of the following: When vertical active size is 768, you can select resolution from 1024 x 768, 1280 x 768, 1360 x 768.

When vertical active size is 1050, you can select resolution from 1400 x 1050. 1680 x 1050.

OSD Warning

OSD Warning menus disappear with SELECT button.

NO SIGNAL: This function gives a warning when there is no signal present. After power is turned on or when there is a change of input signal or video is inactive, the No Signal window will appear.

RESOLUTION NOTIFIER: This function gives a warning of use with optimized resolution. After power is turned on or when there is a change of input signal or the video signal doesn't have proper resolution, the Resolution Notifier window will open. This function can be disabled in the TOOL menu.
