How to install the Nedis DTCTH10WT heat detector?

Install the device on the ceiling or high on a wall, away from radiators, doors, windows, and curtains. Avoid kitchens, bathrooms, and dusty areas. Ensure the alarm can be heard in all bedrooms. Attach the mounting plate to the wall, then snap the detector into place.

What to do if the alarm sounds?

The alarm indicates abnormal heat detection. Remove the heat source (e.g., turn off an appliance). The alarm stops and the red LED stops flashing once the heat dissipates.

How to test the alarm?

Press and hold the test button for 3 seconds. The alarm should sound (3 short beeps, 2-second pause, repeated) and the red LED will flash. Release the button. Test weekly.

The heat alarm was designed to detect heat. The heat alarm does not detect smoke or gas. Heat alarms are intended to be supplementary to smoke alarms, located in areas where smoke alarms cannot be used. The device is suitable for indoor use only.

Testing the alarm

Cleaning and maintenance
