How to set the time on the TFA 60.2018.01 alarm clock?

Slide the switch to TIME SET. The time flashes. Use the HOUR/MONTH button to set the hours and MIN/DATE/C/F for the minutes. Slide the switch back to LOCK to lock.

How to set the date?

Slide the switch to DATE SET. Use the HOUR/MONTH, MIN/DATE/C/F and 12/24/YEAR buttons to set the year, month and day.

How to set the alarm?

Slide the switch to AL SET. The alarm time flashes (default 06:00). Use HOUR/MONTH for hours and MIN/DATE/C/F for minutes.

How to turn the alarm on or off?

To activate, set the ALARM ON/OFF switch to ON. The alarm symbol appears. To deactivate, set it to OFF.

How to use the snooze function?

When the alarm sounds, press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button. The alarm stops for 5 minutes and the snooze symbol flashes. To stop it permanently, press any other button.

How to change the temperature display to °C or °F?

Press the MIN/DATE/°C/F button to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.

How to turn on the backlight?

Press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button to turn on the backlight for 5 seconds. For automatic lighting, set the SENSOR ON/OFF switch to ON.

What to do if the display is missing or incorrect?

Check the battery polarity. If the display is still missing or incorrect, replace the batteries with three new 1.5 V AAA batteries, observing polarity.

How to replace the batteries?

Open the battery compartment on the back, remove the old batteries and insert three new 1.5 V AAA batteries, observing the + and - signs. Close the compartment.

How to clean the alarm clock?

Use a soft damp cloth to clean the device. Do not use solvents or abrasive products. Remove the batteries if you are not using it for a long time.

6. Getting started

• Remove the protective film from the display
  Open the battery compartment and insert three new AAA 1.5 V batteries.
• Close the gallery compartment again.
  The indoor temperature (default ^ C ) appears on the display.

7. Settings

7.1 Display change ^ C / ^
- Press the MIN/DATE/C/F button to select the temperature display in °C (Celsius) or °F (Fahrenheit) as temperature unit.

7.2 12-HR or 24-HR system

• Press the 12/24/YEAR button to choose between the 12-hour or 24-hour system. In 12-hour system AM or PM appears on the display.

7.3 LOCK/SET switch
- Press and hold the buttons in setting mode for fast mode.

After setting slide the switch to the position LOCK.

7.3.1 Time setting

• Slide the switch to the position TIME SET.
  The time flashes on the display.
• Press the HOUR/MONTH button to adjust the hours.
• Press the MIN/DATE/C/F button to adjust the minutes.

7.3.2 Setting of the date

• Slide the switch to the position DATE SET.
  The date flashes on the display.
• Press the MIN/DATE/°C/°F, HOUR/MONTH and 12/24/YEAR button to adjust the date.

7.3.3 Alarm time setting

• Slide the switch to the position AL SET.
  The alarm time (default 6:00) will be flashing on the display.

7.4 Alarm functions

• Slide the switch to the position AL ON to activate the alarm function.
• The alarm symbol and the snooze symbol appear on the display.
• When the adjusted alarm time is reached, the alarm rings.
  If the alarm is not stopped manually, the ascending alarm tone automatically turns off after one minute and the alarm will be reactivated at the same set time on the following day. The alarm symbol and the snooze symbol remain on the display.
• Press any button to turn off the alarm sound or press the SNDOZE/LIGHT button to activate the snooze function.
  The backlight turns on for a short period.
  The snooz symbol flashes on the display.
  The alarm sound will be interrupted for five minutes.
• Press any button to turn off the snooze function.
• Slide the switch to AL OFF, to turn off the alarm function
  The alarm symbol and the snooze symbol disappear from the display.

8. Backlight

• Press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button and the backlight will be activated for 5 seconds.
• Move the SENSOR ON/OFF switch to ON, a weak backlight turns an automatically as soon as the light sensor registers darkness.

9. Care and maintenance

Clean the device with a soft damp cloth. Do not use solvents or scouring agents.
- Remove the batteries if the device will not be used for an extended period of time

• Keep the device in a dry place.

9.1 Battery replacement

• Change the batteries when the device functions become weak
• Open the battery compartment and insert three new AAA 1.5 V batteries.
• Close the battery compartment again.
