How to install the Ever Fix seat with ISOFIX ?

First, remove the headrest from the vehicle seat to properly pass the Top Tether. Insert the ISOFIX connectors into the vehicle's lower anchors until they click. Then attach the Top Tether strap to the upper anchor point provided by the manufacturer. Make sure the seat is stable. Consult the vehicle manual to check compatibility.

Do I need to deactivate the airbag if I install the seat in the front?

Yes, if you install the car seat on the front passenger seat, it is recommended to deactivate the airbag and place the passenger seat in the rearmost position. The airbag can be dangerous for the child in case of deployment.

What is the maximum weight for using the reducer?

The reducer is designed for children from 9 to 13 kg (group 1). Beyond 13 kg, remove the reducer to use the seat in group 2/3 configuration.

How do I know if the harness is tight enough?

After fastening the child, pull the adjuster strap to tighten. The rule is to be able to pass only one finger (about 1 cm) between the harness and the child. If it is looser, tighten.

Can I wash the seat cover?

Yes, the cover is removable and washable. Check the washing labels sewn in for the appropriate temperature and program. Use only an official Bébé Confort replacement cover.

What to do after an accident?

The car seat must be replaced immediately after an accident or violent impact, even if it appears intact. This ensures the best safety for your child.

Is the Ever Fix seat compatible with all vehicles?

No, check compatibility with your vehicle. The seat uses universal ISOFIX in forward-facing position (class B1). Consult the vehicle manual and the list of compatible vehicles on www.bebconfort.com.

How to clean the seat shell?

Clean the shell with a damp cloth and mild soap. Do not use harsh or abrasive products that could damage the plastic.

Can I use the seat rear-facing?

No, the Ever Fix model is designed only for forward-facing use. It is suitable for children from 9 to 36 kg installed in the direction of travel.

What if a part is damaged?

Contact your authorized Bébé Confort dealer. Use only official spare parts (cover, foam, etc.). Never use a seat with a missing or damaged part.

SAFETY

• All Bébé Confort products have been carefully designed and tested for your baby's safety and comfort. Use only accessories sold or approved by Bébé Confort. Using other accessories may prove to be dangerous.
• You are personally responsible for the safety of your child at all times, please read these instructions carefully and make yourself familiar with the product before using it.
  • Always keep the instructions for future reference; there is a storage compartment specifically provided on the child seat.
  • The Ever Fix is intended for car use only.
• Do not use second-hand products whose history is unknown. Some parts could be broken, torn or missing.
• Do not use any load bearing contact points other than those described in the instructions and marked in the child restraint.
• Replace the Ever Fix when it has been subject of violent

stresses in an accident: it is not optimal safety for your child.

WARNING:

Do not make any changes to the car seat whatsoever, as this could lead to unsafe situations.

The Ever Fix car seat in the car:

• Before buying this product make sure the car seat is compatible with the vehicle it is to be used in.
• Before using the ISOFIX anchorage system, you must IMPERATIVELY read the instruction manual of the vehicle, before installing your child car seat. This manual will indicate the places compatible with the class size of the car seat, Universal ISOFIX approved. Universal ISOFIX in forward facing position, class size B1.
• Recommend adjust to full recline position before ISOFIX system installation. After well-install ISOFIX connector and top tether, adjust to proper recline position for child.
• The Bébé Confort Ever Fix has been approved in accordance with the latest European safety standards (ECE R44/04) and is suitable for children from 9 to 36 kg.
• The Bébé Confort Ever Fix must be installed with ISOFIX and Top Tether when your child's weight is from 9kg to 18 kg. You can use vehicle belt only, or vehicle belt and ISOFIX anchorages, or vehicle belt and ISOFIX anchorages and Top Tether to install the Ever Fix car seat when you child's weight is 15-36 kg.
• Make sure the fold-down rear seat is locked into position.
• Make sure that any luggage and other objects liable to cause injuries in the event of a collision shall be properly secure.
• Make sure the straps holding the carseat to the vehicle are tight.

WARNING:

When the car seat is installed on the front passenger seat, we recommend to switch off the front passenger airbag if your child is sitting in a front-facing position and place the passenger seat in the rearmost position.

Baby in the Ever Fix car seat :

• Never leave your child unattended.
• For your own safety and the one of your child always put the child in the car seat and fasten him however short your journey may be.
• Use the Bébê Confort Ever Fix only on a front-facing seat that is fitted with an automatic or static 3-point belt that has been approved according to the ECE R16 standard or similar. Do NOT use a 2-point belt.
  • After putting the child in the car seat, ensure that the harness is sufficiently tight by pulling the belt. Before every use, make sure the harness is not damaged or twisted.
• Make sure you can fit no more than one finger between the harnesses and your child (1cm). If there is more space than 1 cm, tighten the harness belt further.
• Check to make sure the headrest is adjusted to the proper height.
• Ensure that the straps under the stomach lie as low as possible, to properly support the pelvis.
• Do not use the child restraint device without the cover. Do not replace the seat cover with any other than the one recommended by the manufacturer, because it will have a direct effect on the functioning of the car seat.
• The temperature inside a vehicle may become very high, particularly after a long period of exposure to the sun. It is strongly recommended, under such conditions, to cover the seat of the car with a piece of material or something equivalent to prevent the harness fixings, and in particular the metal parts, from becoming hot and burning the child.

WARNING

In ISOFIX use the fitting clips for lower anchorage to the vehicle are not sufficient. It is essential to fix the "TOP TETHER" to the upper anchorage point recommended by the car manufacturer. Fitting the Ever Fix seat with additional tethers using the vehicle's ISOFIX additional anchorage points.

The ISOFIX anchors have been developed to obtain a safe and easy fixation of the child safety systems inside the car. Not all cars are equipped with these anchors although they are standard on more recent models. For a complete list of cars, please visit our website www.bebeconfort.com.

• In forward facing position, the seat must be placed on the car rear seat or exceptionally on the front seat in accordance with the legislation in force in the country of use (In France: in accordance with the conditions stipulated in decree n° 91-1321 du 27-12-1991). If you use the Ever Fix on the front seat, it is recommended to deactivate the airbag of the seat in question and move the passenger seat back to a maximum (Please consult your car manual).
• When installing the car seat, it is necessary to remove the headrest in order to put the TOP TETHER through correctly.
• Warning: when installing the car seat, spaces between the base of the car seat and the vehicle seat are possible depending on the position of the anchorage points within the vehicle.
• The rigid parts and the plastic sections of a child restraint device should be positioned and installed in such a way that they cannot, when the vehicle is being used under normal conditions, become trapped under a moving seat or in the vehicle door.
• Never modify the construction or the materials of the car seat and the seat belt without consulting the manufacturer.
• This child restraint is effective only if the instructions for use are respected.
  • Always fasten the child restraint even when the child is not sitting in it.
• Never place heavy objects on the rear parcel shelf, to avoid the danger of projectiles in the event of an accident.
  • Always check that no part of the seat or the harness is trapped under a seat or in the vehicle door.
• If in any doubt about the correct installation or use of the system, the user is advised to contact the distributor or the manufacturer of the child restraining device system.

Care

Keep the car seat clean. Do not use aggressive detergents.

Inlay:

- The inlay included in your Ever Fix seat plays an integral part in the efficiency of the restraint system for your child from 9 to 13kg . It can be removed and the cover taken off for washing, but it is essential to place it back again where it belongs and only use this official Bébé Confort Ever Fix inlay. This inlay is exclusively for use with the Ever Fix seat.

Fabric:

• The cover and the crotch pad can be removed for washing. If the cover needs to be replaced at any time, only use official Bébé Confort cover because it constitutes an integral part of the restraint performance.
• Before cleaning check the label sewn into the various parts of the fabric, you will find the washing symbols indicating the method of washing each item.

Environment

Keep all plastic packaging materials out of reach of your child to avoid the risk of suffocation. For environmental reasons, when you have stopped using this product, we ask that you dispose of the product in the proper waste facilities in accordance with local legislation.

Warranty

Our 24 months warranty reflects our confidence in the high quality of our design, engineering, production and product performance. We confirm that this product was manufactured in accordance with the current European safety requirements and quality standards which are applicable to this product, and that this product is free from defects on materials and workmanship at the time of purchase. Under the conditions mentioned herein, this warranty may be invoked by consumers in the countries where this product has been sold by a subsidiary of the Dorel Group or by an authorized dealer or retailer.

Our 24 months warranty covers all manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship when used in normal conditions and in accordance with our user manual for a period of 24 months from the date of the original retail purchase by the first end-user customer. To request repairs or spare parts under our warranty for defects in materials and workmanship you must present your proof of purchase, made within the 24 months preceding the service request.

Our 24 months warranty does not apply to defects caused by normal wear and tear, damage caused by accidents, abusive use, negligence, fire, liquid contact or other external cause, damage which is the consequence of failing to comply with the user manual, damage caused by use with another product, damage caused by service by anyone who is not authorized by us, or if the product is stolen or if any label or identification number has been removed from the product or has been changed. Examples of normal wear and tear include wheels and fabric worn down by regular use and the natural breakdown of colors and materials due to normal aging of the product.

What to do in case of defects:

Should problems or defects arise, your first point of contact is the authorized dealer or retailer recognized by us. Our 24 months warranty is recognized by them (1). You must present your proof of purchase, made within the 24 months preceding the service request. It is easiest if you get your service request pre-approved by us. If you submit a valid claim under this warranty, we may request that you return your product to the authorized dealer or retailer recognized by us or that you ship the product to us in accordance with our instructions. We will pay for shipment and for return freight if all instructions are followed. Damage and/or defects neither covered by our warranty nor by the legal rights of the consumer and/or damage and/or defects with respect to products that are not covered by our warranty can be handled at a reasonable fee.

Rights of the consumer:

A consumer has legal rights pursuant to applicable consumer legislation, which may vary from country to country. The rights of the consumer under applicable national legislation are not affected by this warranty.
