Read this manual carefully before running this appliance and save it for reference in order to obtain the best results and ensure safe use.

A) Carefully read the following important information regarding installation safety and maintenance. Keep this information booklet accessible for further consultations.
B) The appliance has been designed as a exhausting version(external exhaust) or as a filter version(internal air recycle) cooker hood.

  1. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must never play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must never be carried out by children without supervision.

  2. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

  3. Keep the appliance and the cable cord out of the reach of children less than 8 years old.
  4. WARNING: In order to ensure your children's safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.
  5. If the supply cord is damaged it must be repaired by the Authorized Service Agent.
  6. Never pull on the cord when unplugging.
  7. Do not use the unit with a damaged cord or plug, or if it is not working properly.
  8. Do not handle the appliance with wet hands.

  15. Take care when the cooker hood is operating simultaneously with an open fireplace or burner that depend on the air in the environment and are supplied by other than electrical energy, as the cooker hood removes the air from the environment which a burner or fireplace need for combustion.

  16. Risk of fire if the cleaning is not carried out according to instructions.
  17. Do not flambe under the hood.
  18. CAUTION: Accessible parts may become hot when used with cooking appliances.
  19. Exhaust air should not be sent by conductors used to evacuate fumes from equipment powered by gas or other fuel.

  20. The minimum distance between elements of cooking and the bottom of the hood must be at least 65cm if the hood is installed on a gas cooking element. If installation instructions gas cooking element indicate a greater distance should be taken into account. 65cm distance cannot be reduced.

  21. The regulations regarding air evacuation must be respected.
  22. The negative pressure in the environment must not exceed 4 Pa (4*10-5 bar).
  23. Provide adequate ventilation in the environment for a safe operation of the cooker hood.
  24. Follow the local laws applicable for external air evacuation. Appliance shall only be used with rated voltage and frequency.
  25. Do not check the status of the filters while the cooker hood is operating.
  26. Do not touch the light bulbs after appliance use.
  27. Flame cooking is prohibited underneath the cooker hood.
  28. Constantly check food frying to avoid that the overheated oil may become a fire hazard.

WARNING

The lamps of this cooker hood are designed as supplementary illumination when cooking. They are not suitable for household illumination

INSTALLATION AND USE

Note 1: On stainless steel hoods, carefully remove the plastic protective film from all exterior surfaces of the hood prior to final installation.

Note 2: At least two people will be required to mount the hood.

DESCRIPTION AND CONNECTIONS

The hood is only installed in the ducting version.

Caution: to reduce the risk of fire, use metal ductwork is recommended.

  1. Decide where the ductwork will run between the hood and the outside.

  1. A straight, short duct run will allow the hood to perform most efficiently.
  2. Long duct runs, elbows and transitions will reduce the performance of the hood. Use as few of them as possible. Larger ducting may be required for best performance with longer duct runs.
  3. The outside of the hood for the duct is 150mm . However we provide a reducer from 150mm to 120mm to use a smaller duct of 120mm .
  4. The duct shouldn't discharge into a flue for exhausting fumes from gas or other flues appliances.

ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

  • Electric connection should be done by qualified person according current regulation. Disconnect main power of house before connect the hood.
  • If supplied cord is damage, should be replaced by the maker or technical service.
  • Don't use a plug or extension whose are not supplied with the hood.

INSTALLATION

The hood is designed to work with a duct of 150mm of diameter. If you use a 120mm duct place the supplied reducer.

DUCT INSTALLATION

Use an outlet exhaust duct with: minimum indispensable length, minimum possible bends (maximum angle 90^ ), certified material and as smooth as possible inside.

FITTING HOOD TO FURNITURE

  1. Before attaching the hood to the cabinet, make a 165mm diameter hole for the 150mm or 135mm tube for the 120mm tube.
  2. Make sure that the hole in the cabinet has the dimensions of the hood 490X258cm.
  3. In any case, check the position of the hood before installing it, so that it can be connected to the nearest outlet without problems, in case you have to make a hole in the cabinet to pass the cable.
  4. Unscrew the visible screws located on each side of the hood and remove the front, 8 holes will be visible.
  5. Lift the hood and place it in its position in the cabinet. Fix the hood to the cabinet by screwing it through the 8 holes mentioned above. Replace the front of the hood and fix it with its 2 corresponding screws.
  6. Make the electrical connection.
  7. The installation has been completed.

FITTING HOOD TO FURNITURE 1

Advice:

  • Exhaust air must not be discharged into a flue which is used for exhausting fumes from appliance burning gas or other fuels.
  • If the instructions for installation for the gas hobs specify a greater distance than 650mm , it has to be taken into account.
  • The regulation concerning the discharge of exhaust air has to be fulfilled.

OPERATION

This hood has two switches on frontal panel. One for light (2 positions: on and off) and other for extraction power, 4 positions:

This filter is not washable, cannot be regenerated and should be replaced approximately every 3 months of operation, or more frequently in the case on higher using.

  1. Remove metallic filter to install the charcoal filter on the motor
  2. To install charcoal filter place it in each side of motor and turn it anticlockwise until hear a click.
  3. To remove charcoal filter, turn it to clockwise and remove it.

OPERATION 1

REPLACING LIGHTS

This hood has 2 LED lights, which have a high duration and it is normal that they do not spoil. If it does not work, ask a qualified person to change it.

CLEANING THE HOOD

  • Clean the outside of the hood with hot water and non-abrasive detergent and a soft cloth.
  • Then rinse it with a cloth moistened with clear water. Dry with a soft, clean cloth to remove water marks.

  • For stubborn stains use a stronger cleaner or polish powder with water. Gently rub on the stain with a soft cloth in the direction of the polish line.

  • Do not let grease deposits accumulate for a long time in the hood.
  • Do not use steel wool or metal brushes, it may scratch the surface and at the same time create rust.
  • Do not allow salt solutions, disinfectants or bleach to be in contact with stainless steel for a long time, as they could damage it. Rinse with water after use and dry with a soft cloth.
