EN Operating instructions

The operating manual represents a component part of the device. It contains important information regarding safety, use and disposal. Familiarize yourself with all the operating and safety information before starting to use the device. Only use the device as described and for the purpose for which it is intended. Hand over all the documents with the device if it is transferred to third parties.

Important safety instructions

Please read these instructions carefully and observe them when handling the device.

1. Keep the operating instructions for future use.
2. Before use, place the unit on a level and stable work surface.
3. Do not touch the blade when moving the unit or putting it away.
4. Always operate the device with two hands.
5. Keep loose clothing, ties, jewelry, long hair or other loose objects away from the machine.
6. Remove any staples and/or paper clips before cutting.
7. Do not lubricate or sharpen the blade.
8. If the blade or the blade housing (cutting head) is damaged, do not use the machine.
9. Keep the device out of the reach of children.
10. The device is not intended for cutting fingernails or toenails.

Intended use

This roll cutter may only be used for cutting paper, cards and photos.

Unauthorized modifications or conversions are not permitted.

Improper use

Only cut materials that comply with the specifications in the technical data.

Any use other than that described in Intended use is considered improper use.

Cleaning the device

Caution: Risk of injury! The knife of the winder is very sharp! Clean the knife of the winder with utmost care! Clean the outside of the device with a slightly damp cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or chemicals to clean the device.

Roll cutter

1. Place the cutting board on a level and stable workplace.

Caution: Risk of injury! The knife of the winder is very sharp! Never touch the knife of the winder.

1. Push the cutting head [1] outwards.
2. Place the material to be cut under the pressure bar [3], use the grids and measuring devices [4] for placement and fix the material to be cut with the flat of your hand.
3. Press the cutting head [1] slightly downwards and pull the cutting head [1] along the guide rail [2] to the other side.
4. Remove the cut material.
5. Note: Do not return the cutting head [1] to its original position until you have removed the cut material.

Replacement of the cutting head

As soon as the circular blade becomes blunt, it can be replaced. For this he must complete cutting head can be replaced. Go to change the cutting head please do the following:

1. Pull up the small cap on top of the plastic frame. This cap is marked with a dotted arrow.
2. Push the guide rail a little through the opening that has become free.
3. Now slide the cutting head in the other direction onto the loose end of the guide rail. The complete cutting head can now be removed.
4. Take the new cutting head and slide it onto the guide rail accordingly. Pay attention to the correct position, i.e. the cutting head must be inserted in such a way that the circular blade is guided exactly along the edge of the metal cutting base.

Caution: Only use original GENIE cutting heads. Only these fit for these cutters and guarantee correct function. Please only hold the cutting head on the top, i.e. on the plastic housing. The sharp circular knife is located on the underside. There is a risk of injury here!

	Observe the identification on the packaging materials during the waste sorting process; they are identified by abbreviations (b) and numbers (a) which have the following significance: 1–7: plastic/20–22: paper and cardboard/80–98: composite materials.
