DEUSAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Read these instructions carefully and keep them with you so that you can consult them later on.

This appliance must be plugged into a grounded electrical outlet. Any connection error will void the warranty.

Never immerse the device, the cord or the base in water or in any other uid. No water should penetrate into the base of the appliance.

Never use the appliance when your hands or feet are wet.

Do not expose the product to high temperatures or direct sunlight. Protect it from moisture, dust or any corrosive substances.

Do not leave your appliance unattended when in use, and do not leave it within the reach of children or incapacitated persons.

Place the appliance on a level, dry and heat-resistant surface.

Always place your appliance as far as possible from the edge of the countertop.

Do not operate without water. To prevent such cases, the kettle is outfitted with a boil-dry protection device that will shut off the appliance. To use the kettle again, disconnect it and let it cool for 15 minutes, then rell it and switch it on again.

The water level must be between the MIN and MAX water level gauge markings. Overlling the kettle may cause the water to spill when boiling and cause burns.

Make sure to close the lid tightly before use to prevent scalding by the emitted steam.

Be careful never to open the kettle lid when the water is still hot. The steam emission may cause burns!

While the kettle is on, do not touch any surfaces other than the side handle. They get very hot and may cause burns.

Do not move the appliance while in use.

Caution: the appliance remains hot after use. Always allow the appliance to cool before storing or cleaning it. Wait for 15 to 20 seconds before starting a new boiling cycle to allow the kettle to cool.

Keep the appliance or the cord away from any sources of heat, hot objects or open ame.

Disconnect from the outlet when the appliance is not heating, during cleaning or before opening the lid of the appliance.

To remove the anti-scale lter, lift the kettle off it base and allow it to cool. Never remove the lter when the appliance contains hot water.

Do not pull on the power cord or on the appliance itself to disconnect it.

Never place your appliance on a hot surface.

The cord used is a H05VV-F 3 G 0,75mm². These units are in compliance with directives 2014/35/EU, 2014/30/ EU, WEEE 2012/19/EU, RoHS 2011/65/EU and the CE food contact regulation 1935/2004. Fully extend the cable and examine it carefully before using it.

Fill the appliance with water to the maximum level («MAX»).

Switch on the appliance as described in the section «Using the appliance». Let the water boil.

Open the lid by using the handle.

Fill the kettle with water to the desired level while observing the specied levels (0.6L MIN to 1.7L MAX). You can ll with water through the spout. This improves lter maintenance. Caution: do not use without water!

Close the lid and make sure it is rmly closed.

Place the appliance on its base.

Power up the appliance by connecting the power plug.

Press the ON/OFF switch to turn on the kettle. Its blue pilot light turns on.

The kettle will turn off automatically once the water has reached the boiling point. However, you can also turn it off manually at any moment. The blue pilot light will turn off. Suggestion: you can shorten the length of the cord using the storage compartment provided under the base. Boil-dry protection device If the MIN water level is not observed, the boil-dry protection device, which is the kettle’s safety mechanism, will be activated, turning the kettle off. In this case, disconnect the kettle and wait for 15 minutes before using it again. Water temperature gauge The water temperature gauge lets you know the temperature of the water inside the kettle. Use the gauge when you prepare beverages that require different temperatures of water such as green teas, white teas, coffee, etc. The gauge will not work if there is an insufcient quantity of water in the kettle (less than the minimum level). 38UPKEEP

When cleaning the appliance, always make sure to disconnect the power plug. Allow the appliance to cool before washing it. Do not place the base, the cord or the plug into water. Do not let any water penetrate into the kettle base.

Clean the kettle and the base using a damp cloth. If the kettle is particularly dirty, a small amount of detergent may be added.

Do not use scouring pads, steel wool or any type of strong solvents or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the appliance, as they may damage its external surfaces.

Remove the scale lter by pressing the tab and pulling it towards you, then clean it with the help of a brush. If the scale does not come off, perform descaling as described in the «Descaling» paragraph. Be careful never to remove the lter when the appliance contains hot water. Replace the lter after cleaning it.

IMPORTANT! Allow the appliance to dry completely after cleaning and before reusing it. Do not use the appliance if the base or the underside of the appliance is wet.

Make sure that the appliance is clean and dry before storing it. SCALE REMOVAL

Scale build-up increases progressively, the more you use the appliance.

Descale your kettle regularly, about once per month.

Fill your kettle with white vinegar diluted in water (1/3 to 2/3) and allow it to react for two hours or longer, on cold.

Do the same with the lter, by soaking it in this mixture.

Rinse several times using tap water.

Your appliance is now ready to use. Note: You can also use a descaler for coffee machines by following the manufacturer’s instructions. Please note! The warranty does not cover non-functioning or malfunctioning kettles due to non-performance of descaling.
