TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
* Spinning metal cup

FIRST USE AND DAILY OPERATION
FIRST USE
* Ensure that the on/off switch is in the off (0) position and that the appliance is unplugged.
* Fit the cup onto the appliance spindle by aligning the tabs on the spindle with the slots on the cup attachment (see Figure 1).
* Fit the head onto the motor assembly (see Figure 2) and then turn it counterclockwise (see Figure 3) until the feet come up against the lock mouldings on the motor assembly. To check whether the plastic container is sitting properly, you should be able to lift the entire appliance holding it by the head without the motor assembly coming loose.

START-UP AND OPERATION
* Before starting up the appliance, take out a paper cone (delivered with your appliance or you can make your own as required).
* To make your own cones: Take a thick piece of A4 paper and roll it diagonally in the shape of a cone. Tape the cone together using adhesive tape (see Figure 4).
* Ensure that the on/off switch is in the off (0) position. Place the cotton candy machine on a flat surface to which the suction cups will stick readily. Press down moderately on the appliance to make the rubber suction cups stick.
* Plug in the appliance.
* Move the switch to the on (1) position and leave the appliance running empty for at least 5 minutes to preheat it.
* Turn off the appliance by moving the switch to the off (0) position and wait until the cup has stopped spinning.
* Fill the measuring scoop with powdered sugar and pour the sugar into the centre of the cup.
* Turn on the appliance. The cup will start spinning. After a few minutes, candy floss will begin to appear. Wrap the floss around the cone. To do this, hold the cone upright by the small tapered end (see Figure 5) and turn it slowly while also moving it around the pan. As soon as you get the floss started, begin holding the cone horizontally (see Figure 6), continuing to move it around the head to twirl floss onto the cone until no more floss is coming out of the cup.
Important: Be careful not to touch the cup as this could
affect the end result. Also never interfere in any way with the spinning of the cup.
* When floss stops coming out, this means that all the sugar is gone from the container. Turn off the appliance.
Important: Do not touch the cup as it becomes very hot when the appliance is operating. Wait until it has cooled completely.
* Important: Caramelised sugar will build up on the head during use. This is normal and not caused by any defect of the appliance.
* Recommendation: Use only powdered sugar. Do not use granulated or icing sugar as this could damage the appliance. For lighter, more flavourful cotton candy, we recommend using cotton candy sugar.
* For fluffier cotton candy, turn off the appliance, add more sugar and continue making floss.
* For hygiene reasons, it is recommended to discard the cones after each use.
Note: Never pour sugar into the cup when the
appliance is running. Add sugar only after turning the appliance off and waiting for the cup to stop spinning.
