USER MANUAL Equilibre LAGRANGE
DEUSAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Please read the following instructions and keep them on hand for later reference.
Check to ensure the mains voltage matches the voltage on the data plate of the appliance.
Fully extend the cable and examine it carefully before using it.
Regularly check the condition of the power cable, and do not use the device if any damage is detected.
If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced with a cable or a special set available from or its after-sales service.
The appliance must only be powered using the removable connection block with adjustable thermostat that is supplied in the packaging.
Place the appliance on a at, dry surface.
Never place the appliance near a heat source.
Never place the appliance on a hot (or potentially hot) surface or near an open ame.
Place the appliance away from curtains and other ammable objects.
Keep the product at least 20 cm from any heat-sensitive objects.
Position the rear of the product against a heat-proof wall when it is in use.
Insert the cord plug into a 10/16 A outlet with earthing contact.
The device must be connected to a socket tted with an earthing contact. 38* If you need to use an extension cord, always use a model equipped with an earthing contact and wires with section of at least 1 mm².
Never leave the appliance unmonitored when it is operating.
This appliance is designed only for household use and only in accordance with the instructions for use.
Never submerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for cleaning or any other purpose. Never put it in the dishwasher.
Do not use spray water (either high or low pressure) to clean the product.
Be careful not to use or leave the appliance outdoors if it is raining. Store in a dry place.
Never move the appliance by pulling on its cord.
To prevent the appliance from falling, take care to ensure that the power cord does not accidentally catch on other items. Do not twist the cord or wrap it around the appliance, and do not allow the cord to come into contact with the appliance’s hot parts.
Do not touch the appliance’s metal parts during operation as they become very hot.
Do not block the air vents located on the sides of the appliance.
This device can be used by children from the age of 8 and up, and persons with limited physical, sensory or cognitive capacities or who lack adequate experience or knowledge, provided they are supervised or receive instructions for the safe use of the device and insofar
ENGas they fully understand the potential dangers.
Children should not play with the device. Cleaning and upkeep should not be performed by children unless they are over the age of 8 and are under supervision.
Keep the device and its power cord out of the reach of children younger than 8 years old.
This appliance is not designed for activation through use of an external timer or any type of remote control system.
When not in use or left unmonitored, and before assembly or disassembly, disconnect the appliance from electrical power.
CAUTION: Risk of injury if the product is used incorrectly.
The surface of the heating element remains hot after it has been used.
If your appliance is damaged, stop using it, and contact customer service at .
For your safety, use only accessories and replacement parts designed specically for your appliance.
Retain the appliance’s original packaging for storage purposes.
Do not clean the cooking surface or any other stainless steel parts on the appliance with products containing chlorine.
The unit must be supplied by a circuit including a differential residual current 40device with an assigned differential operating current not exceeding 30 mA.

The cable that is used is a H05RR-F 3x1 mm² These units are in compliance with directives 2014/35/EU, 2014/30/EU, WEEE 2012/19/EU, RoHs 2011/65/EU and 2015/863/EU and the EC food contact regulation 1935/2004. ENVIRONMENT Protection of the environment – DIRECTIVE 2012/19/UE In order to protect our environment and our health, the elimination of electrical equipment at the end of its working life must be done according to very specic rules and requires the involvement of all parties, suppliers and users. That is why your unit, as indicated by the symbol on its information plate, must never be thrown into a public or private garbage can intended for household wastes. At the time of its elimination, it is your responsibility to bring your unit to a public collection center designated for the recycling of electrical and electronic equipment. To obtain information about the centers for collection and recycling of discarded units, please contact the local authorities of your region, the household waste collection services or the store where you purchased your unit.
When unpacking the appliance, take care to remove and check all packing for parts as well as packets and additional packing information.
Make sure that no parts or accessories are missing or defective.
Fully unwind the cable and carefully examine it before use.
Before using the appliance, clean the cooking surface and the drip tray thoroughly with soapy water to remove any impurities from the packaging. Dry thoroughly.
A new appliance may smoke and/or give off an odour when used for the rst time. To reduce the chance of smoking or odour, it is recommended to allow the appliance to heat for 10 minutes and then cool for approximately 30 minutes before the rst use.
Place the appliance on a at, stable, heat-resistant surface.
The device is suitable for outside use. It can be used inside under an extraction hood.
Place the drip tray (see Image 1) on the front of the appliance.
Put the control button on the minimum setting and then connect the connector to the rear of the product, making sure that it is fully inserted (see Image 2).
Then, connect the cable to the mains supply and turn the control button to the maximum setting.
Let your Plancha preheat for 5 to 10 minutes.
Once your appliance is preheated, adjust the thermostat to the position of your choice and leave the food to cook until it has been cooked to the desired extent.
NB: Do not cut anything directly on top of the plate or you will run the risk of damaging the non-stick coating.
If you want to use the juice in the drip tray while the appliance is on, all you have to do is carefully take hold of the two handles on the ends of the drip tray and then pour the juice into a bowl using the pouring spout.
To turn off the appliance, turn the thermostat down to the lowest setting.
Wait for your appliance to cool before unplugging the power cord then the appliance connection block.
44MAINTENANCE NB: Never immerse the base of the appliance or the connection terminal in water. Do not use steel wool or scouring powder or harsh cleaning products (such as oven cleaners) on the appliance’s hot plate as they could permanently damage your appliance. Do not place either the plate or the drip tray in a dishwasher. Never submerse the appliance in water, spray with water or place in dishwasher. Wait until the appliance has completely cooled down before cleaning it. COOKING SURFACE: Clean the cooking surface using absorbent paper and then a damp sponge with some washing up liquid, and then rinse it with a damp sponge and dry it. DRIP TRAY: Clean the drip tray with a sponge and some washing up liquid, then rinse it in running water and dry it. WOODEN HANDLES: Clean the wooden handles using a damp cloth and then dry them immediately.
Prawns on skewers (for 2 people)
g of prawns with their shells removed -
tablespoonfuls of lemon juice - 1 tablespoonful of fresh cut parsley - 1 tablespoonful of olive oil - 35g of butter - 1 clove of cut garlic salt and pepper. Place the prawns, parsley, lemon juice, and the salt and pepper in a dish and leave them to marinate for 30 minutes. Melt the butter in a saucepan with the olive oil and garlic. Add the prawns to the preparation. Stir and place the buttered prawns on skewers. Place the prawns on the preheated Plancha and leave them to cook for 5 minutes. King prawns 12 fresh king prawns with their shells still on - oil - 1 lemon. Slightly oil the king prawns with a brush. Preheat the Plancha and then place the king prawns on the plate. Wait until the shells begins to grill and then turn them over. Carry out the same operation for the other side. Serve with lemon wedges.
Mussels à la Plancha (for 4 people) 2kg of mussels - parsley Scrape the mussels and wash them in order to remove any impurities. Place them on the Plancha once you have oiled it and made sure it is properly heated up. Remove them when they crack open. Season them with raw parsley or chopped parsley. Salmon with dill (for 6 people) 6 pieces of salmon steak - 3 teaspoonfuls of chopped dill - salt and pepper. Butter sauce: 100g of melted butter - 3 lemons - 4 pinches of chives - salt. Cook the salmon steaks on the Plancha (5 minutes for each side). Sprinkle with chopped dill. Add salt and pepper. Serve with lemon butter sauce. Grilled trout in mustard cream (for 4 people) 4 pieces (150g) of trout steak - 5 courgettes - 4 tablespoonfuls of traditional mustard - 4 tablespoonfuls of fresh cream soup - olive oil - salt and pepper. Brush the trout steaks with mustard, and keep them chilled. Cut the courgettes into slices (lengthwise). Brush oil on once side and then place the slices on the Plancha, having slightly oiled it beforehand. Leave to cook for 10 minutes. Set them aside. Then place the trout steaks on your Plancha and leave them to cook for 5 minutes (for each side). Mustard sauce: Mix the cream with a bit of mustard, and add salt and pepper. Serve the trout steaks with courgettes and mustard cream. 46MEATS Chicken breasts in chopped parsley (for 8 people)
bunch of parsley - olive oil - salt and pepper. Cut the chicken breasts into strips and sprinkle olive oil on them. Chop up the garlic and the parsley. Impregnate the strips with the chopped garlic and parsley, and then cook them on the Plancha, turning them over frequently for 6 minutes. Add salt and pepper before serving. Chicken breast fillet with tomato and peppers (for 4 people)
tablespoonfuls of grated parmesan cheese salt - Ground pepper - dried oregano. Cut the tomatoes into slices and the pepper into strips. In adish, place the tomato slices and the pepper strips in alternating circular layers. Lay out the green onion cut into slivers on this bed, and then the chicken breast llets cut in half. Season them. Slightly oil the Plancha. Cook for 15 minutes on the Plancha.
Grilled chicken in lemon (for 4 people)
tablespoonfuls of oil -
lemons - salt - pepper. Mix the lemon juice and the oil. Leave the chicken breasts to marinate in the mix for 30 minutes. Cook them on the Plancha (making sure it has been properly heated up) for 5 minutes (each side). Grilled chicken with sesame seeds (for 6 people)

tablespoonfuls of dry white wine -
tablespoonful of mustard Mix the butter, mustard, white wine, soy sauce and the tarragon. Place the chicken breasts in this marinade, stir slowly and then leave to macerate for
hours. Then grill the chicken breasts on your Plancha (4 minutes each side). Sprinkle with a bit of marinade during cooking. Remove the chicken breasts and place them in the sesame seeds. Grill them for 1 minute on your Plancha. Spanish-style pork llet (for 4 people)

teaspoonful of cinnamon -
dose of saffron - salt. Marinate the thinly sliced pork llets for 1 hour in the preparation and then grill them for 10 minutes on your Plancha.
ENGVEGETABLES Grilled tomatoes in ginger and honey (for 4 people)
cm of fresh ginger -
tablespoonfuls of honey -
piece of candied ginger. Peel the fresh ginger and grate it nely. In a container, mix the honey, the lemon juice and two tablespoonfuls of fresh grated ginger. Once you have washed them, cut the tomatoes into large slices and place them in the marinade for 15 minutes. On your Plancha, seal the tomato slices for 1 minute (each side). Place them on a dessert plate with the cooking juice, and sprinkle the tomatoes with candied ginger cut into sticks. Grilled aubergines (for 6 people)
tablespoonfuls of olive oil -
tablespoonfuls of shredded thyme -
teaspoonful of Espelette chilli pepper - salt. Peel and cut the shallots and the cloves of garlic. Place them in a container with a teaspoonful of Espelette chilli pepper, salt, shredded thyme and oil. Mix them all. Wash the aubergines, remove the stalks and cut them into ne slices (lengthwise). Place the slices in the container. Leave them to marinate for 30 minutes. Preheat your Plancha and oil it slightly. Then cook your aubergine slices for 5 minutes (each side). Small goat cheese pieces on skewers (for 6 people)
small goat cheeses -
small sweet yellow peppers -
white onions - salt - pepper. Cut the peppers and the onions into pieces, blanch them in boiling water for 5 minutes. Cut the bacon slices in half and cut the small goat cheeses into four pieces. Wrap the pieces of cheese with the bacon, and garnish the skewers by putting a piece of cheese on them followed by a piece of each vegetable, and so on. Pepper them, and then nish with a cherry tomato on the end of the skewer. Leave the skewers on your oiled Plancha for 5 minutes. Mix of peppers
sweet yellow peppers and
orange peppers – pure sea salt - balsamic vinegar – olive oil. Cut the peppers lengthwise and remove the pips. Cut them into ne slices. Sprinkle them with olive oil and with pure sea salt. Cook them on a high ame on the Plancha for a few minutes, possibly whilst sprinkling them with a bit of hot water. When the slices are golden brown, place them on a dish and season them with pure sea salt and balsamic vinegar.
48STATEMENT OF WARRANTY
Household Appliance Warranty. Your appliance is subject to a 2-year warranty. To extend your warranty by an additional year at no charge, simply register at the website (www.lagrange.fr). The warranty covers parts and labour and applies to manufacturing defects. The warranty does not cover damage due to misuse, failure to follow the user instructions, or dropping the appliance. THIS WARRANTY APPLIES TO DOMESTIC USE; UNDER NO CIRCUMS- TANCES DOES IT COVER PROFESSIONAL USE. LThe vendor’s legal warranty obligations in no way exclude the manufacturer’s legal warranty obligations relating to faults or manufacturing defects in accordance with Articles
et seq. of the French Civil Code. In the event of a breakdown or malfunction, contact your retailer. The appliance will be exchanged in the event of a technical defect within 8 days after purchase. After this period, repairs will be carried out by ’s after-sales service. To qualify for the warranty, users must present a copy of the purchase receipt indicating the date of purchase of the appliance. Availability period of replacement parts In accordance with Article L 111-2 of the French Consumer Code, we anticipate an availability period for replacement parts for repairable products of ve years from the date of manufacture. However, this availability is guaranteed only in the country in which the product was purchased. Return shipping costs Following the rst year, during which the distributor warranty is applicable, you are liable only for the cost of shipping to the manufacturer; we will return the product to you promptly at our own cost.
