How to use the VitalMaxx 09741 massage device?

Intended Use

• This device is intended to be used for loosening the neck and back muscles and delivers relaxation. The device may also be used to massage abdominal, buttock and leg muscles. It is not a replacement for medically required treatment.
• The device is for personal use only and is not intended for commercial applications.
• The device should only be used as described in these instructions. Any other use is deemed to be improper.
• The following are excluded from the warranty: all defects caused by improper handling, damage or unauthorised attempts at repair. This also applies to normal wear and tear.

Safety Instructions

This device should not be used by people (including children) with impaired sensory or mental faculties or who do not have adequate experience and/or knowledge of such devices, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety, or have received instructions from such a person on how to use the device.
Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the device.
The device has a heating function. People who are sensitive to heat must be careful when using the heating function.
- Keep sharp and pointed objects away from the device to ensure that it is not damaged.
The device must always be disconnected from the mains power when it is left unattended and before cleaning it.

In the interest of your own safety, you should inspect the device for damage each time before you use it. It may only be used if it has no visible signs of damage!

If you experience an unpleasant sensation while you are using the device, stop performing the massage immediately!

Do not fall asleep while you are using the device!

• Do not use the device before going to bed. The massage has a stimulating effect, which may lead to problems getting to sleep.

DANGER - Danger of Electric Shock from Water!

Use and store only in closed rooms.
Do not use the device in rooms with high humidity.

• Never immerse the device, mains cable or mains adapter in water or other liquids and ensure that they cannot fall into water or become wet.
  Should the device fall into water, switch off the power supply immediately. Do not attempt to pull the device out of the water while it is still connected to the mains power!
• Never touch the device, mains cable or mains adapter with wet hands when these components are connected to the mains power.

WARNING - Danger of Electric Shock from Damage and Inappropriate Use!

• Only connect the mains adapter to a plug socket with safety contacts that is properly installed and matches the technical data of the device. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated.
• Only use suitable extension cables whose technical data is the same as that of the device.
  In the event of damage / faults (e.g. unusual noises, odour or smoke development) and in a thunderstorm, switch the device off immediately and pull the mains adapter out of the plug socket.
  The device must be switched off when inserting or removing the mains adapter. Always pull the mains adapter and never the mains cable to disconnect the device from the mains power.

Use

PLEASE NOTE!

No pressure should be exerted on the device as this will slow down or stop the massage and the device could be damaged. Do not stand or lie on the device.
Do not use the device for longer than 30 minutes without stopping.
Do not massage one group of muscles for longer than 15 minutes.
For reasons of hygiene, avoid direct contact of the skin with the device wherever possible. It should not come into contact with skin that has had cream or oil applied to it.
A tingling sensation/itching during or after the massage is normal due to the circulation-boosting effect.

We recommend that you wait an hour after mealtimes before using the device.

Areas of Application

When this device performs a massage, two massage heads massage the muscles twice. This is intended to relax them and boost circulation. The device is designed in particular for use on the upper back area (in particular the neck). But it can also be used to massage abdominal, buttock and leg muscles.

Operating the Device

1. Connect the mains adapter to the connecting socket of the device.
2. Insert the mains plug into a plug socket that is easily accessible.

1. Place the massage surface of the device onto the part of the body which is to be massaged. For a shoulder or back massage, place the straps of the device around your shoulders and fix them in place by putting your arms through the loops and thus holding the device in the correct position.
2. Start the massage by pressing the button.
3. After 15 minutes the device automatically switches off. To switch it off sooner, press the button.
4. Pull out the mains plug and store the device in a dry place that is not accessible to children.

Cleaning and Storage

The device may not be connected to the mains and must be completely switched off for cleaning!
- Do not use any caustic or abrasive cleaning agents for cleaning. These can damage the surface.

• Wipe down the device just with a damp cloth if necessary. Then wipe it down fully with a dry cloth.

Troubleshooting

If the device does not work properly, first check whether you are able to rectify the problem yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps below, contact the customer service department.

Do not attempt to repair an electrical device yourself!

Disposal

Dispose of the packaging material in an environmentally friendly manner so that it can be recycled.
