Read these instructions carefully before use and keep them for future reference.
1- Do not use the appliance with wet hands, in a damp
environment or on wet surfaces. Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids. 2 - Do not use this appliance near bathtubs or other vessels containing water. 3 - Unplug the appliance when it is off because proximity to water could pose a threat; be extra careful when using it in the bathroom. 4 - Do not use this electric appliance if it has been in contact with liquids, if its electric cord is damaged or if its body and/or accessories show clear signs of damage. If the appliance does not work properly, disconnect it from the power immediately and take it to an approved service centre. 5- If the electric cord is damaged, it must be replaced immediately by the manufacturer, an authorised service centre or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
6- Avoid contact with your skin while the hair straightener
is still operating: the high temperatures could cause burns. 7- Keep the appliance and its electric cord away from sources of heat and from heat-sensitive surfaces (plastic, vinyl, etc.). 8- Do not hold or handle the appliance by the electric cord. Do not wind the electric cord around the appliance, bend it or twist it so as not to impair its correct functioning and thus damage the hair straightener. Lack of compliance with the above warnings and instructions could cause a short circuit 9 10and thus irreparable damage to the hair straightener, as well as put the user’s safety at risk. 9- If the electric cord shows any signs of damage or wear, it should be replaced by specialised personnel only. Do not use fittings and/or accessories that have been modified or that have not been approved by the manufacturer. 10- Unplug the appliance when not in use and allow it to cool down before storing it in a safe place. To disconnect the appliance, unplug the electric cord from the wall power outlet. 11- To clean the appliance, always disconnect it from the power outlet first and let it cool completely. When cleaning, do not use aggressive products containing phenylphenol. 12- This appliance should only be used for its intended purpose. 13- For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your installer for advice. This appliance must not be used by people with reduced physical, motor or mental capacity (including children), or with limited knowledge of the appliance itself, unless such people have been trained for its use or are under adequate supervision to ensure their own safety. Children must be under supervision at all times to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Do not use this appliance near bathtubs or other vessels containing water. This appliance has been designed with a double-insulation system for your safety.

LIMITED WARRANTY PERIOD: The standard warranty period for the hair straighteners we market is 24 months in compliance with European Directive 1999/44/EC. The professional warranty period for hair straighteners that are used at beauty salons and for any other professional purposes is 12 months from the date of purchase. In both cases, the warranty shall be valid upon presentation of the proof of purchase consisting of original invoice or purchase ticket indicating the date of purchase and product type. Such proof must be legible, full and undamaged. CAUTION This appliance is designed with a protective coating around the heating coils. When plugged in and operated for the first time, there may be a momentary burning smell. This occurs when the coating around the heating element is heated for the first time. This is not dangerous for the user and does not indicate a defect in the unit. When using the appliance for the first time, keep it working until the smell dissipates. Smoke dissipates after about 30 seconds.
- Plug the appliance into the power outlet.
- Turn on the hair straightener by pressing the button for a few seconds.
- The hair straightener will reach the lowest temperature of 190°C in just a few seconds.
- Use the (+) and (-) buttons to select the desired working temperature from 150°C up to 230°C: the digital display will show information about temperature progress. Temperature rises by 20°C each time you press the button.
- Turn off the hair straightener by pressing the button.
- Unplug the appliance from the power outlet.
- Let the hair straightener cool before putting it back in its case. BUTTON LOCK SYSTEM (locks the buttons) The Button-Lock system locks the buttons after the temperature is selected. In this way, accidentally pressing the buttons will not change the working temperature while the hair straightener is in use. To activate the Button-Lock system: 13 14· When the product is turned on, the buttons are unlocked and can be used to adjust the temperature.
- Once the desired temperature has been selected, wait 2 seconds then press the (-) button; a lock will appear on the display, indicating that the buttons are locked.
- To change the set temperature, unlock the buttons by pressing the (-) button until the lock disappears. AUTO POWER-OFF: If the hair straightener should remain on by mistake, the auto power-off feature will kick on after 60 minutes; this safety system blocks the supply of current and turns off the hair straightener. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE: Keep your appliance well maintained in order to ensure the best performance and to extend product life cycle. If kept clean, the heating plates will continue to glide easily through your hair. Heat can cause chemical elements (colourings, treatments, mousse, sprays, waxes, etc.) on your hair to be transferred onto the heating plates. After each use, we recommend disconnecting the appliance from the electrical outlet; let it cool down and then use a damp cloth to remove any residues from the heating plates. Do not use particularly aggressive agents on the heating plates of the hair straighteners. Make sure that the appliance is completely dry before using it. STORAGE After use, unplug the power cord and put it in a dry place once cooled. Do not wind the electric cord around the appliance. Never hang the appliance by the cord; use the special ring.
