Frequently Asked Questions - MX 50 STEBA

How to use the Steba MX 50 immersion blender?
Insert the blending shaft into the motor unit until it clicks. Submerge the shaft in the container, then press the speed button. The harder you press, the higher the speed. Do not operate for more than 1 minute continuously.
Can I blend hot food directly in the pot?
Yes, you can blend hot soups directly in the pot, but be careful of splashes. Turn off the appliance before immersing and let it cool slightly if needed. Never immerse the appliance above the lower edge of the upper cone.
How to clean the Steba MX 50 blender?
Always unplug the appliance. Clean the motor housing with a damp cloth. The blending shaft is not dishwasher safe, wash it by hand with soapy water. The whisk (without the plastic cap) and the mixing beaker are dishwasher safe.
Can the whisk beat heavy batter?
No, the whisk is designed for light ingredients such as egg whites (max 4), cream (max 400 ml) or light cake batters. Do not use it for margarine and sugar, as this could damage it.
What to do if the appliance does not work?
First check that the plug is properly inserted and that the blending shaft is correctly engaged. If the appliance does not start, it may have overheated: let it cool down for 10 minutes. If the problem persists, contact after-sales service.
Can I use an extension cord?
Yes, but the extension cord must have a cross-section of at least 1.5 mm². If you use a power strip, its maximum load must not exceed 3680 W. Ensure that no one trips over the cable.
How to avoid splashes when blending?
To avoid splashes, tilt the container slightly if there is not much liquid. Start blending at the bottom, then move upwards towards the surface in circular motions. Prefer a tall, narrow container.
Can children use this appliance?
This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above under supervision. They must understand the risks and be instructed on its use. Keep the appliance and cord out of reach of children under 8 years.
What is the motor's lifespan?
The motor is designed for domestic use. Never exceed 1 minute of continuous operation. If the housing becomes hot (more than warm), let it cool down before using again. This will extend its lifespan.
