Frequently Asked Questions - FRV 50 ME Kärcher

How to install nozzles on the rotating arm?
Insert the O-ring into the notch of the rotating arm, place the nozzle, then tighten the cap nut. Adjust the wrench flat of the nozzle parallel to the rotating arm. Use the supplied wrench to tighten the cap nut (22 mm opening).
What is the maximum water pressure?
The maximum water pressure is 25 MPa (250 bar). Do not exceed this pressure.
Can I use hot water with this surface cleaner?
Yes, the maximum water temperature is 85 °C. After using hot water, cool the unit by rinsing with cold water for 2 minutes.
What to do if the rotating arm does not turn?
Check if the cleaning nozzles are dirty. If clogged, clean them. Make sure the water pressure is sufficient.
Why does the suction power drop?
This may be due to a worn brush crown (to replace), a clogged suction channel or hose (to clean), or a clogged injector nozzle (to clean).
How to maintain the surface cleaner?
After each use, rinse the steering wheels with clean water, then spray with lubricating oil. Protect the unit from frost and do not let it rest on the brush.
What accessories are available?
Accessories: flexible attachment (ref. 2.642-528.0), dirt collector (2.642-532.0), flexible holder (2.042-001.0), FRV 50 ME brush (6.371-011.0), extension hose (4.441-040.0).
How to choose the right nozzle kit?
Read the nozzle orifice size on the nameplate of your pressure washer. Select the corresponding kit from the table in the manual (e.g., orifice 036-040 → kit 2.431.0).
What are the important safety instructions?
Never direct the spray at people, animals, electrical installations or the unit itself. Wear protective gloves and goggles. Wait for the rotating arm to stop completely before intervening.
How to connect the surface cleaner to the pressure washer?
Grease the O-rings of the fitting, screw the pressure washer gun handle onto the surface cleaner and tighten firmly by hand (or using a 27 mm open-end wrench).
