How to install the flow limiter on the WR 20?

Place the nozzle and copper washer in the nozzle holder, screw on the adapter, then screw the assembly onto the high-pressure outlet of the cleaner. Then connect the high-pressure hose to the outlet of the flow limiter.

What water temperature should be used to remove weeds?

The device works with hot water between 90°C and 100°C. Set the high-pressure cleaner to a maximum of 98°C for optimal results.

How to mount the spray lance?

Screw the spray lance onto the lance tube, then tighten the connection with a wrench. Make sure the openings are oriented downwards.

What to do if steam comes out of the lance?

Lower the temperature of the high-pressure cleaner. Steam indicates too high a temperature.

Why is the water coming out at too high pressure?

Check that the flow limiter is installed and the correct nozzle is used. Refer to the nozzle table in the manual.

How to maintain the WR 20 after use?

Let the device cool down, then run cold water for 2 minutes to rinse the lance. Clean dirt and plant residues from the frame.

Can I use the WR 20 with a cold water high-pressure cleaner?

No, the WR 20 is designed for hot water high-pressure cleaners. Cold water will not effectively remove weeds.

The appliance is suitable for performing weed control when used in combination with a high pressure cleaner.

Using the nozzles on the spray bars, uncompressed hot water (max. 100^ ) is applied to the plants.

Any other use is prohibited.

Flow restrictor

To ensure the water temperature remains even (above 90^ ), you will need to install a flow restrictor on the high-pressure output of the high-pressure cleaner.

Note

The required adapter is not included in the scope of delivery. The required nozzle has been adjusted to suit the corresponding high pressure cleaner and must be ordered separately.

Screw nozzle and copper washer into the nozzle holder.

Flow restrictor for HDS trailer appliances

When using an HDS trailer device, the flow restrictor must be installed between the spray lance and trigger gun.

Observe the information in the operating instructions of the high-pressure cleaner!

Check that the screw connections are leak-tight after installation.

Screw the spray bars onto the spray lance.
Tighten the screw connection with a wrench.

Note

The openings of the spray bar must face downwards not forwards.

Installing chassis and Suspension (WR 50)

Note

If necessary, the WR 50 can be used with the chassis and suspension.

Insert spray bar into the chassis and suspension support.

Note

On the support, adjust the clearance between the spray bar and the surface (approx. 50mm - 100mm above the surface).

Loosen the star handle screw.
Move the spray bar in the holder.
Tighten star handle screw.

WARNING

Risk of burns! The spray bar must be installed in such a way that the outlet openings face downwards.

Do not direct the water jet on persons or animals.

Do not touch the WR 20/WR 50 or hold the water jet while the machine is running.

Set the device switch on the high-pressure cleaner to max. 98^
If installed, set the Servo Control to the max. setting.
Switch on the high pressure cleaner and pull the lever of the high pressure gun.
Wait until hot water emerges from the spray bar.

Note

Depending on the high-pressure cleaner in use, the heating-up time can last between 2 and 5 minutes.

Guide the spray bar slowly over the weed.
Repeat the procedure several times if required.

Note

The optimal effect is achieved when hot water escapes almost unpressurised without any steam.

WARNING

Risk of burns! Allow the WR20 / WR 50 to cool down before disassembly.

After the operation, operate the spray bar with cold water for two minutes in order to cool it down.
If necessary, rinse off the spray bar and chassis and suspension (WR 50) with clear water.

Care

Protect the appliance against frost.
Clean the chassis and suspension (WR 50) of dirt, earth and plant residues
Regularly check the nozzles on the spray bar for blockages.

Transport

Mind the weight of the appliance during transport.

Storage

Consider the weight of the appliance when storing it.
Store the appliance in a frost free area.

Troubleshooting

Steam is coming out of the spray bar:
Reduce the temperature setting on the high-pressure cleaner.

The emerging water pressure is too high:

Install the flow restrictor.
Select a suitable nozzle (see table).

High-pressure cleaner switches off/the high-pressure cleaner burner does not start:

Check the nozzles on the spray bar for soiling.
Check the nozzles on the spray bar for calcification.

The wheels of the chassis and suspension (WR 50) do not turn:

Check wheel axle and bearings for soiling.
