USER MANUAL 26100 PROCTOR SILEX
1. Read all instructions.
2. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they are closely supervised and instructed concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
3. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near
children. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are supervised. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
4. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
5. To protect against a risk of electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug, or any
part of the appliance in water or other liquid.
6. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before
putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning. To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from the outlet. Never pull from the power cord.
7. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged supply cord or plug, or
after the appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Supply cord replacement and repairs must be conducted by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard. Contact Customer Service for information on examination, repair, or adjustment as set forth in the Limited Warranty.

POWER READY5 How to Use w WARNING Burn Hazard. Always use an oven mitt to protect hand when opening a hot wafe maker. Escaping steam can burn. Before first use: Wipe the bottom and top Waffle Grids with a soapy, damp cloth. Rinse cloth; then wipe Grids again.
1. Plug cord into electrical outlet. The
red POWER light comes on.
2. Preheat with cover closed until
green READY light comes on.
pour about 1/4 cup (59 mL) of batter into bottom Wafe Grid. Lower Cover.
4. Once you pour the batter on Grid,
green READY light will turn off when heating. Light will cycle on and off and does not indicate that wafe is done.
5. Wafes are done in about 2 to 3
minutes, depending on recipe, or when steaming begins to stop. Remove wafe with plastic or wooden utensil. Never use metal. This will damage the nonstick coating.
6. Unplug when nished cooking and
let cool completely before storing. POWER and READY Lights Red POWER light comes on when Wafe Maker is rst plugged in. This light will stay on until the unit is unplugged. Green READY light comes on when Wafe Maker has reached ideal temperature to add batter. For best results, wait until READY light comes on before adding the wafe batter. Green READY light will cycle on and off when heating and does not indicate that wafe is done.6 Waffle Maker Tips
- Most wafe recipes can be poured directly onto the Nonstick Wafe Grids. Use a cooking spray for dessert wafes or any recipe with a lot of sugar. If your wafes start to stick, Grids may need to be scrubbed with a nylon brush to remove any cooked-on food particles.
- Wafes can be made ahead of time and kept warm in a 200°F (90°C) oven.
- To store wafes, let cool and then pack in an airtight container. Store in refrigerator or freezer. Wafes can be reheated in a microwave oven, a toaster oven, a toaster, or a regular oven.
- Most wafes are done in about 2 to 3 minutes. Check for doneness when steaming begins to stop. If the cover doesn’t lift easily, let wafe cook a minute more before checking again. In a small bowl, whisk together milk, oil, and eggs. Gradually add milk mixture to flour mixture. Stir until just blended. Pour 1/4 cup (59 mL) of batter into waffle maker. Close cover and cook 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown. Serves: 8 Test Kitchen Tip: The packaged mix waffles are done in about 2 to 2 1/2 minutes.
