USER MANUAL HR315 Bimar

This symbol invites you to read these instructions carefully before using the appliance, and also inform third parties of them, if necessary. Store this booklet for future reference and for the entire lifetime of the device. If any parts of these instructions prove difficult to understand or if in doubt, contact the company at the address written on the last page before using the product. This stove is a radiant appliance the elements of which are visibly incandescent and exceed a temperature of 650°C; the appliance gets hot when working; so only touch the handle and plastic switch. Avoid contact with the heating element. The fireguard of this heater is intended to prevent direct access to heating elements and must be in place when the heater is in use, but the fireguard does not give full protection for young children and for infirm person. Ensure that the appliance come into contact with water or other liquids. If this should happen, never immerse hands in the liquid but remove the plug from the socket first of all. Dry the appliance carefully and check that all the electric parts are dry. If in doubt, call a qualified expert. Children of less than 3 years should be kept away unless continuously supervised. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off the appliance provided that it has been placed or installed in its intended normal operating position and they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall not plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or perform user maintenance. CAUTION: Some parts of this product can become very hot and cause burns. Particular attention has to be given where children and vulnerable people are present. Do not use this appliance in a room with an area of less than 4m². This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in11 a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision. Attention: when using electric appliances, the basic safety precautions must always be observed to avoid risks of fire, electric shocks and physical injury. Unplug the appliance when not in use. The fireguard of this heater is intended to prevent direct access to heating elements and must be in place when the heater is in use, but the fireguard does not give full protection for young children and for infirm person. WARNING: this heater is not equipped with a device to control

the room temperature. Do not use this heater in small rooms when they are occupied by person not capable of leaving the room on their own, unless constant supervision is provided. Do not pull on the power cord or the appliance to unplug the appliance from the electric socket.12 If the electric cord is damaged, it has to be replaced by the supplier or an authorized service center or a professionally qualified, to avoid any risks. The appliance must not be positioned immediately under a socket. The power socket must be easy to reach so the plug can be removed quickly in case of emergency. Do not use the appliance with a timer or a programmer or with a system that can switch on the appliance automatically, to avoid risk of fire, since a fire risk exists if the heater is covered or positioned incorrectly. Do not use the heater in places where it could be subject to shocks in the immediate vicinity of a bathtub, shower or swimming pool to avoid drops of water falling on the heater or the heater falling in the water: If the appliance should accidentally get wet or be submerged in water, remove the plug from the supply socket immediately and dry the unit carefully. Check that no liquid has gone inside and if in doubt, contact professionally qualified personnel. INSTALLATION After removing the packing materials, check the integrity of the appliance; if you are unsure, do not use it and ask for qualified professional help. The packing materials (plastic bags, polystyrene foam, nails, etc.) must be kept out the reach of children because they are potential sources of danger; but dispose of them in accordance with current law. All packaging elements must be disposed of according to their raw material (see the symbol stamped on each one) and according to the provisions of their municipality. The bag containing the set of the fixing screws, which is unmarked due to its small size, therefore you have to follow the procedures for the disposal of their municipality. Before connecting the appliance, check that the voltage shown on the data plate matches that of your electricity and that the electric plug is grounded. In the event of incompatibility between the electric outlet and the plug of the appliance, have the outlet replaced with another more suitable type by professionally qualified personnel, who will make sure that the section of the wires of the outlet is appropriate for the absorbed power of the appliance. In general, the use of adapters or extension cords is not recommended; if their use is indispensable, they must conform to existing safety standards and their current capacity (amperes) must not be less that the maximum of the appliance. Position the appliance far from other sources of heat, inflammable materials (curtains, carpets, etc.), inflammable gases or explosive materials (spray cans) and from materials that can deform on exposure to heat. Make sure that there is 120 cm of free space in front of the appliance and 50 cm on the sides.13 Stand the appliance on a horizontal, flat surface or table; do not stand on a inclined plane (the appliance could upset). Make sure the safety system get in touch with the floor, otherwise the appliance doesn’t work. Make sure that the cable is correctly positioned, that it is not touching hot elements or sharp edges, is not wound around the utensil, is not twisted up on itself or in the way to prevent the utensil from being pulled over. Check that you cannot trip over to prevent accidental falls or harm to persons. All repairs should be made by a competent qualified electrician. In any case you should return the appliance to this service.

4. Anti-upsetting system

ASSEMBLING Before each use, verify that the unit is in good condition, the electric cord is not damaged, if the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or a competent qualified electrician or a person with similar qualifications, in order to avoid any risk. ATTENTION: The heater must not be used if the plugs are damaged glass. Attention: The appliance may only be used if complete with the support.14

1) To operate easy, stand the appliance on a horizontal, flat and stable surface.

2) Unscrew the wing nut screws placed on the inferior part of the appliance.

3) Let the cable go out from the hole in the middle of the support and assembling the

4) Put the wing nut screws through the support and screw them.

Warning: run the appliance to eliminate the "new smell" and any oil residue from the

manufacturing process for at least 10/15 minutes. During this operation, ventilate the room well to eliminate the "new smell" that is given off by the appliance. To use the heater, act as follows:

1) Insert the plug into the power socket.

2) Press the switch 0-1 (Power) the candle in the middle will turn on. The other candles can be

turned on with their switches.

3) Switch on the key for the swinging (TURN) to let the stove swing to the left and to the right.

4) To switch off the appliance, put the keys on “O” position and remove the plug from the power

socket. Never leave the appliance connected to the socket if it is not in use, especially for long periods.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Attention: before cleaning the appliance, switch off, unplug and wait for before it has completely cooled down. Protect the parabola from dust to keep save its reflecting characteristic. To clean the body use a soft damp cloth; do not use abrasive products. The protection grill and the smocking net are very delicate; to clean them only use your vacuum cleaner, paying attention not to damage them. When the stove is not in use it is necessary to cover and put it in a dry place. We advise to use the original packing to preserve it from dust and humidity. The halogen heater (HH. 220-240Vac 400W) must be substituted with a special tool: please contact a competent qualified electrician. If you decide not to use the appliance any more, we recommend making it inoperative by cutting the power cord (after making sure you have disconnected the plug from the socket) and make dangerous parts harmless if children are allowed to play with them. IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR CORRECT DISPOSAL OF THE PRODUCT IN ACCORDANCE WITH EC DIRECTIVE 2011/65/EU. At the end of its working life, the product must not be disposed of as urban waste. It must be taken to a special local authority differentiated waste collection centre or to a dealer providing this service. Disposing of a household appliance separately avoids possible negative consequences for the environment and health deriving from inappropriate disposal and enables the constituent materials to be recovered to obtain significant savings in energy and resources. As a reminder of the need to dispose of household appliances separately, the product is marked with a crossed-out wheeled dustbin.15
