How to Assemble and Use

This Electric Knife comes with stainless steel, reciprocating, serrated blades. It is perfect for slicing a variety of foods including cooked meats, poultry, fresh fish, fruits, vegetables and bakery items.

CAUTION Be sure cord is not connected to electrical outlet when removing or inserting blades and when knife

is not in use. Blades are extremely sharp. Always handle by side opposite cutting edge, as illustrated.

  1. If Blades are separated, pick up by Plastic Guard. Slide rivet on one Blade into keyhole slot in other Blade until they are locked together.
  2. Holding Blades together at base of Blade with cutting edge down, slide onto motor housing until both Blades click into place.
  3. Plug into outlet.
  4. Hold Knife by Handle. Pull ON/OFF Switch like a trigger to operate. You must hold ON Switch for Knife to operate.

  1. To stop, release ON/OFF Switch.

Tip for Crusty Bread: Place bread on a cutting board. While holding bread with one hand, place knife on top of bread and score a line where you will make the cut. Pull Switch to ON and hold while gently moving knife back and forth to cut through crust.

How To Clean and Store

WARNING To reduce risk of personal injury, always disconnect cord from electric outlet before inserting, removing or cleaning blades. Blades are sharp; handle carefully.

  1. Unplug.

  2. Firmly pull back Blade Release Switch. Grasp Plastic Guard, with hand away from cutting edge, and carefully pull until Blades release.

  3. Carefully separate Blades by sliding apart to disengage rivet from keyhole.
  4. Wash Blades and Fork in hot, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  5. After washing and drying, immediately place Blades into Protective Sleeve for storage.
  6. To clean motor housing and cord, wipe with a damp cloth and then dry thoroughly.
  7. Place Handle and all Blades inside Storage Case and close Lid.

Hints For Best Results

  • Move Knife through food. Do not use a back and forth sawing motion.
  • Let meats stand about 15 minutes after cooking and before slicing.
  • Slice down to and around bone. Do not attempt to slice through bone.
  • Do not cut through frozen foods.
  • Stainless steel serrated blades should stay sharp. Do not attempt to sharpen serrated blades. Replacement blades may be purchased at hamiltonbeach.com.
  • Always clean Blades between cuttings of different food items to avoid cross contamination of foods.

LIMITED WARRANTY

This warranty applies to products purchased and used in the U.S. and Canada. This is the only express warranty for this product and is in lieu of any other warranty or condition.

This product is warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of five (5) years from the date of original purchase in Canada and one (1) year from the date of original purchase in the U.S. During this period, your exclusive remedy is replacement of this product or any component found to be defective, at our option; however, you are responsible for all costs associated with our returning a product or component under this warranty to you.
