How to install the Clarion CMM30 in a boat?

Ensure the electrical system is 12 V negative ground. Mount the unit in a dry, well-ventilated area away from water splashes. Secure it firmly to avoid any movement during navigation. Professional installation is recommended.

How to connect my phone via Bluetooth?

From the Bluetooth menu, select 'Pair New Device'. Enable Bluetooth on your phone and select 'CMM30' from the list of devices. Confirm pairing on both devices. You can then stream your music via the A2DP protocol.

How to save a radio station as a preset?

Tune to the desired station, then press and hold the 'Favorites' (or 'FAV') button until the preset number flashes. Turn the knob to select a slot (1 to 18) and press to confirm. The station is now saved.

What to do if the radio does not receive the SiriusXM signal?

Check that the SiriusXM antenna is properly connected to the tuner and placed outdoors with a clear view. The 'No Signal' message may indicate an obstruction. Ensure that the cable is not damaged or kinked. Refer to the tuner's installation manual.

How to configure audio zones?

In the 'Settings' menu, go to 'Audio Zone Setup'. You can choose the volume control mode (Variable, Absolute, Sub for zone 4) and the high-pass filter (80, 100 or 120 Hz). Rename each zone according to its location (Bow, Bridge, etc.).

What types of files can I play via USB?

The USB port supports MP3, WMA, FLAC and WAV formats. Limits: up to 255 folders, 3,000 files per folder, and 9,999 files total. The port also provides 2.1 A charging for your devices.

How to reset the device to factory settings?

To reset only the SiriusXM part, go to 'My Account' then 'Reset SiriusXM'. For a general reset, there is no option in the menu; disconnect power for a few minutes or consult the manual. Note that this erases all your presets.

Can I use headphones with this model?

The CMM30 does not have a dedicated headphone output. You can connect headphones via the auxiliary output using an adapter, but the volume will be that of the corresponding audio zone. It is better to use the amplified outputs for speakers.

How to activate parental control on SiriusXM?

In the SiriusXM menu, select 'Parental Controls' then 'Lock Mature Channels'. Enter a 4-digit code (default 0000). Adult channels will then be locked. To change the code, go to 'Edit Lock Code'.

What does the 'Check Antenna' message mean?

This message indicates a problem with the SiriusXM antenna: disconnected or damaged cable. Check the cable connection to the tuner and the condition of the cable. If the problem persists, replace the antenna. SiriusXM products are available from authorized dealers.

INSTALLATION CONSIDERATIONS

• Installation requires appropriate tools and safety equipment.
Professional installation is recommended.
- This product is water-resistant. Do not submerge or subject to high-pressure water spray.
- Before installation, turn off the audio system and disconnect the battery system from the audio system.
- Install in a dry, well-ventilated location that does not interfere with your factory-installed systems. If a dry environment is not available, a location that is not exposed to heavy splashing may be used.
- Before cutting or drilling, check for potential obstacles behind mounting surfaces.
- Carefully route all system wiring away moving parts and sharp edges; secure with cable ties or wire clamps and use grommets and loom where appropriate to protect from sharp edges.

NMEA 2000® Connection

Control using your compatible NMEA 2000® multi-function display (MFD). Requires compatible NMEA 2000® entertainment protocols (PGN) and may require a software upgrade of connected MFD devices. Refer to your MFD's manufacturer for device compatibility info.

REMOTE Connection

Optional wired remote controllers using accessory controller cables and splitters (sold separately). Connect up to three controllers to a single source unit, at up to 75 ft (23m) away (cumulative cable length).

Activating Your SiriusXM Subscription

After installing your SiriusXM Connect tuner and antenna, power on your CMM-30 and select SiriusXM mode. You should be able to hear the SiriusXM preview channel on Channel 1. If you cannot hear the preview channel, please check the installation instructions to make sure your SiriusXM Connect tuner is properly installed.

After you can hear the preview channel, tune to Channel 0 to find the Radio ID of your tuner. In addition, the Radio ID is located on the bottom of the SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner and its packaging. You will need this number to activate your subscription. Write the number down for reference.

Note: the SiriusXM Radio ID does not include the letters I, O, S or F.

As part of the activation process, the SiriusXM satellites will send an activation message to your tuner. When your radio detects that the tuner has received the activation message, your radio will display: "Subscription Updated". Once subscribed, you can tune to channels in your subscription plan.

Note: The activation process usually takes 10 to 15 minutes, but may take up to an hour. Your radio will need to be powered on and receiving the SiriusXM signal to receive the activation message.

Parental Controls

Some SiriusXM channels contain mature content. When the Parental Controls feature is enabled, channels with mature content are restricted and will require a 4-digit lock code to access.

Enabling Parental Controls

1. Press to access the BACK/MENU
   SiriusXM: Main Menu.
2. Turn to Pay/SEL Controls and press to enter.
3. Press to select lock Mature Channels. After, you must enter a 4-digit lock code to lock mature content channels. (Parental Control default passcode: 0000)
4. Use voltise the 4-digit lock code and select Save when finished.

Changing the Lock Code

1. Press to access the BACK/MENU
   SiriusXM: Main Menu.
2. Turn to Pay/SEL Controls and press to enter.
3. Turn to Edit/SEL lock Code and press enter.
4. Use to enter the current 4-digit lock code and select Enter when finished.
5. Use to enter the new lock code and select Enter to confirm. Make sure to save your 4-digit lock code for future reference.

SIRIUSXM MAIN MENU

This allows access to the SiriusXM operational menu options. Refer to the table below for available settings and functionality.

Resetting SiriusXM Settings

A reset will restore all presets and settings, including parental controls, back to their factory defaults.

Advisory messages may appear on the display when a SiriusXM-Connect Vehicle Tuner is connected to the CMM-30. Refer to the table below for an explanation and suggested corrective actions.
