Filling the Water Reservoir

NOTE!
After use, the device may still be hot. Wait until the water reservoir has cooled completely before filling/emptying it.
Pour no more than 250ml (note the max marking) of water into the water reservoir.

The device can be operated with both tap water and distilled water. However, if you use tap water, the device will need to be regularly descaled (see the "Cleaning and Storage" chapter, "Descaling" section). If you use distilled water, there is no need to descale the device.
- Fill the measuring cup up to the MAX marking with water.
- Pull the water reservoir cap (4) out of the water reservoir (5) Please note that it cannot be completely detached from the device.
- Pour the water from the measuring cup into the water reservoir. Here too you should only pour up to the max marking.
- Close the water reservoir cap again. Make sure that the water reservoir is properly closed.
Use

NOTE!
Never use the device without water to prevent damage to the device!
There must be plenty of space around the item of clothing which is to be smoothed. You may only perform vertical smoothing if the item of clothing is hanging on a hanger and cannot come into contact with other garments, objects, people or animals.
CAUTION - Danger of scalding! Only use the device once the control lamp has gone out. Operating temperature has then been reached. If the device is used before the control lamp has gone out, hot water may escape.
Before using the device, read the care instructions for the fabric which is to be smoothed. Some fabrics, leather and suede as well as fabrics with flounces, sequins and appliqués must not be steamed!
- Mount the attachment you want (see the "Mounting / Removing Attachments" chapter).
- Pour water into the water reservoir (5) (see the "Filling the Water Reservoir" chapter).
- Insert the mains plug into a properly installed plug socket that is easily accessible. The control lamp (1) lights up and the device starts to heat up. When the control lamp goes out, the device is ready for use.

- Move the device without attachment in strokes over the fabric and press the steam release button (2) at regular intervals as you do so. However, do not keep the steam release button held down constantly! It is important for the steam bottom (8) to touch the fabric so that it is freshened up.

- Move the brush attachment (6) in strokes over the fabric and press the steam release button at regular intervals as you do so. However, do not keep the steam release button held down constantly! It is important for the brush attachment to touch the fabric so that it is freshened up.
- Open the clip of the crease attachment (7) by pressing the lever slightly towards the device. Clamp the fabric of the item of clothing to be smoothed in the crease attachment and let go of the lever again. Slowly pull down the item of clothing and press the steam release button at regular intervals as you do so. However, do not keep the steam release button held down constantly!

If the control lamp lights up during use, the device is reheating. Do not press the steam release button during the heating process in order not to slow this down and to prevent a danger of scalding from hot water which may escape. Wait until the control lamp goes out again.
- If steam stops being produced, the water reservoir is empty. Allow the device to cool down for a few minutes and then top up the water reservoir again (see the "Filling the Water Reservoir" chapter). Never use the device without water to prevent damage to the device!
Tips on Use
- Delicate items of clothing should be steamed inside out.
- Trousers are easier to smooth if they are hung up by the trouser legs.
- Do not hold down the steam release button (2) continuously during use. This reduces the steam pressure.

Do not use any corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or any metal objects to clean the device. These can damage the surface.
-
Make sure that the device is switched off and the mains plug has been removed from the plug socket.
- Place the device on a water-resistant and heat-resistant surface.
- Allow the device to cool down completely.
